We had an incredible stay at Zen Ju Qing Cheng Mountain — one of those rare places that feels less like a guesthouse and more like stepping into someone’s way of life. What truly made the stay unforgettable, were the owners, Colin and Xiaoxiao (Show). They are genuinely, unbelievably kind — the kind of hospitality that goes far beyond service. From the moment we arrived (after the small work-out of walking up an intense hill), we were welcomed like long-lost family. Other guests — many of them regulars — immediately included us and urged us to try local delicacies they brought, which says a lot about the atmosphere Colin and Show have created. There are so many small moments that stand out: being greeted with coffee in the morning (they take coffee very seriously, in the best way), tea in the afternoon (which they take just as seriously, it turns out!), and the constant sense that nothing is too much trouble. Whether it’s helping with transport, sharing local tips, or just making sure you’re comfortable, everything is done with warmth and sincerity. The setting is beautiful and serene, tucked into the mountain with a stunning courtyard full of flowers and greenery. You can tell Colin, one of the owners, has a real gift for it — everything feels alive and thoughtfully cared for. He even treks into the mountains to pick wild tea, which gives you a sense of how deeply connected the place is to its surroundings. That attention to detail carries through everywhere: fresh flowers in the rooms, calm design, and incredibly comfortable bedding. It’s one of those places where you start to wonder what a slower, more intentional way of living might feel like. Even just for a few days, you get a glimpse of that. If you’re looking for a peaceful mountain retreat with real soul — not just a place to stay, but an experience shaped by genuinely exceptional people — this is it.

Ich kann es nicht ertragen, das Jadefleisch auf dem geschnitzten Teller zu essen, denn ich habe Angst, dass die Stäbchen herunterfallen. An die Kiefernhütte gelehnt, dem Bambusregen lauschend, den Blick auf die Berglichter gerichtet. Spät in der Nacht ist ein Luftgeräusch zu hören und Wassertropfen von der Dachtraufe lassen die Sterne im Fluss zerplatzen. Der Wind bläst Tausende von Gipfeln und Wellen auf, mein Herz wird von einem halben Eimer Rauch und Wasser gewaschen und der Himmel und die Erde sind klar. Als ich nach dem Heimweg fragen will, beginnt der Mond gerade über dem Waldrand aufzutauchen.

Das Zimmer war sauber und ordentlich, und die Einrichtung zeugte von viel Liebe zum Detail; es sah in echt viel besser aus als auf den Fotos. Es gibt auch eine Terrasse – perfekt zum Teetrinken, Plaudern und Fotografieren – sehr gemütlich und fotogen! Die Lage ist ebenfalls hervorragend. Ich würde diese Unterkunft auf jeden Fall wieder wählen, wenn ich die Gelegenheit dazu hätte 😊…

We chose this hotel mainly for a skiing trip, with the added bonus of having hot spring facilities on-site. We stayed from 28–30 December 2025. Unfortunately, while there was a small amount of snow at the top of the mountain, there wasn’t enough snow for skiing, which is worth keeping in mind as snow conditions are very weather-dependent. The hotel itself has good facilities, including hot springs, sauna, and a swimming pool. The hot spring experience felt private and relaxing, as there are multiple smaller tubs designed for individuals or family groups, rather than one large communal pool. There is also a dedicated changing area with showers, plenty of towels, and hair dryers, which is well-organised and convenient after soaking. The surrounding area is quite deserted, with only a few old shops across the road selling BBQ skewers and basic convenience store snacks. The police station is immediately next door, which adds a sense of security. Dining options nearby are very limited, so the hotel restaurant is the most decent and reliable place to eat. We particularly enjoyed their non-spicy chicken and mushroom hotpot, priced at 368 yuan, which was generous enough for a family of 3–4 people. The breakfast was also yummy and a highlight of our stay. One nice extra was the complimentary photo session with a professional photographer. You receive 3 photos for free, and if you choose to purchase all the digital photos taken, it costs around 400 yuan for approximately 43 photos. Transportation was one downside. We didn’t enjoy using Didi in this area. On the way to Xiling Snow Mountain, the Didi fare was 40 yuan, but the driver asked for an additional 30 yuan to cover his return trip. For the return journey, the driver didn’t accept the fixed price, used the meter instead, and requested an extra 20 yuan for parking fees at the mountain. For reference, the cable car prices at Xiling Snow Mountain are 320 yuan per person per day to the top, or 250 yuan per person per day to the halfway point. If you stay at hotels near the cable car, you only pay for the ride once. Since Xingye Snow Mountain Manor is farther away, you have to pay the same cable car rate every day, which adds up. Overall, Xingye Snow Mountain Manor is a comfortable hotel with good hot spring facilities and decent food, but it’s best suited for travellers who value relaxation over convenience. If skiing is your main goal, staying closer to the cable car may be more cost-effective and practical.

Es fühlte sich wirklich wie zu Hause. Der Gastgeber war sehr freundlich und willkommen, so dass die Gäste sich von der Ankunft gemütlich fühlen. Ein einfaches, aber zufriedenstellendes Frühstück wurde angeboten, einschließlich Porridge, Sojamilch, Pau, Mais, Kartoffeln und andere pflanzliche Gerichte. I had the absolute pleasure of staying at the Central International Hotel in Dujiangyan, and I can honestly say it was one of the best hotel experiences I've had in China. First, the location and views are simply mesmerizing. My room overlooked the river and the surrounding mountains, and waking up to that scenery every morning felt like stepping into a traditional Chinese painting. The flowing river below and the misty peaks in the distance created a peaceful, almost meditative atmosphere. Whether it was sunrise or sunset, the view from the window was nothing short of spectacular – highly recommended for anyone who loves nature and photography. Cleanliness – absolutely flawless: The entire hotel, from the lobby to the corridors to the rooms, was spotless. Everything smelled fresh and looked well-maintained. I'm quite particular about hygiene, and this hotel exceeded my expectations. The sheets were crisp, the bathroom was gleaming, and every surface was dust-free. It's clear that the housekeeping team takes great pride in their work. 👉 A very special thank you to the Housekeeping Supervisor, who ensured my room was always in perfect condition. Her attention to detail and warm professionalism did not go unnoticed – she truly made me feel cared for during my entire stay. 👉 The front desk team – absolute stars! I would especially like to thank Ms. Kiki and Ms. Vivian at the reception. From the moment I checked in, they were welcoming, efficient, and incredibly helpful. They went out of their way to answer all my questions, recommend local attractions, and even helped me with transportation arrangements. Das Hotel liegt auf halber Höhe des Qingcheng-Berges. Der Haupteingang des Berges ist zu Fuß in etwa 15 bis 20 Minuten zu erreichen. Abgesehen davon, dass wir mit dem Auto hochgefahren sind und nachts etwa 20 Minuten auf der Bergstraße unterwegs waren, war alles andere sehr gut. Vor dem Einchecken ruft das Hotel an und fragt, ob man zu Mittag essen möchte. Anschließend schaltet es die Klimaanlage im Zimmer ein. Wir bekamen außerdem ein kostenloses Upgrade auf ein Zimmer mit Bergblick (wahrscheinlich, weil am Montag weniger Gäste da waren). Das Hotel verfügt über einen Fitnessraum und einen Swimmingpool, die wir zwar nicht genutzt haben, aber es war schön, einfach dort zu sitzen. Die Temperatur in den Bergen ist angenehm, frisch und sehr ruhig. Das Hotel bietet außerdem einen kostenlosen Nachmittagstee an, sodass man dort einen halben Tag gemütlich verbringen kann. Auch das Frühstück am nächsten Tag war sehr reichhaltig. Obwohl der Innenraum nicht groß ist, ist die Ausstattung recht komplett, und es wird Obst geschickt, aber leider hatten wir keine Zeit, es zu essen. Kurz gesagt, dieser Ort eignet sich sehr gut für einen Freizeiturlaub oder die Teambildung im Unternehmen und ist sehr stressabbauend.

Der Preis war auch günstig, also ein gutes Geschäft! Auch Lieferung zum Flughafen! Wozu braucht man bei diesem Preis sonst noch ein Fahrrad?
