MMomodexiaojieDas Zimmer war sauber und ordentlich, und die Einrichtung zeugte von viel Liebe zum Detail; es sah in echt viel besser aus als auf den Fotos. Es gibt auch eine Terrasse – perfekt zum Teetrinken, Plaudern und Fotografieren – sehr gemütlich und fotogen! Die Lage ist ebenfalls hervorragend. Ich würde diese Unterkunft auf jeden Fall wieder wählen, wenn ich die Gelegenheit dazu hätte 😊…

KKB LLocated in the mountains of Qingcheng, this place truly feels like a “人间仙境” (a paradise on earth). Life here is simple and peaceful — villagers go about their daily routines by climbing up and down the mountain, which adds to the charm and authenticity of the experience. The air is incredibly clean and refreshing. Both hosts are exceptionally warm and welcoming, and they love sharing interesting stories about the area. You can really feel the care and effort they’ve put into the place, especially in the garden, which is beautifully maintained and a highlight of the stay. A perfect escape if you’re looking for tranquility and a deeper connection with nature.

AAndrewBWhere to start! If you are looking for a few nights away from the bustle of Chinese cities and you want to relax and unwind in nature then Suxi Qingshan Forest Homestay is perfect! The hotel is easily accessible from Chengdu. A short 25 minutes train ride from Chengdu to Qingchengshan station and then the hotel staff will arrange to pick you up. As soon as you arrive you will realise what an absolute gem this hotel is! The hotel is nestled amongst the hills with incredible views of the surrounding mountains. This is a luxury hotel with the services and infrastructure to match. We enjoyed a wonderful afternoon tea upon arrival and you also have the possibility to enjoy a hot water jacuzzi, a fitness area, walks around the hotel forest grounds as well as many other experiences proposed by the hotel. The hotel is only 15 mins drive from Dujiangyan Giant Panda Centre and the hotel staff organised transport there and back for us. We would recommend this Panda reserve as it is much quieter than the reserves in Chengdu! We had dinner at the hotel restaurant on both nights of our stay and the food was truly exceptional! We chose the set menu, which took us on a culinary journey through Sichuan. Each plate was refined, delicious and made using fresh ingredients. The breakfast was equally delicious, fresh and healthy. We would like to highlight the kindness and warmth of all the hotel staff. They were always available to answer any questions and organise activities to make our stay magical. The hotel staff were able to communicate with us in both English and French. We stayed at Suxi Homestay looking for a relaxing few days away from cities and we were blown away by the experience! We would have loved to have extended our stay!

Sitting quietly in one of the many beautiful tea houses scattered throughout the courtyard or nestled against the mountain backdrop, you can’t help but feel a deep sense of calm as nature engages all your senses. It’s truly therapeutic for the soul. For those seeking a more hands-on experience, the guesthouse offers a variety of activities that are sure to delight, especially families with children. Whether it’s fishing in a tranquil stream or exploring the forest at night in search of glowworms, there’s something special for everyone. Normally, I tend to avoid hotels popular with families. But here, in this zen-like setting, the sound of children laughing and playing only adds to the charm rather than detracting from the serenity. Every corner of this retreat is a photo opportunity, and every meal is a sumptuous feast. The ancient gate transports you to another world, and the evening white mist enhances the sense of wonder. The house-made osmanthus baijiu, reserved exclusively for guests, is a refined treat that speaks to the thoughtful touches that elevate the experience. The level of care and attention to details here far exceeds the cost, leaving you feeling truly pampered by the generosity of this guesthouse and its staff, who go above and beyond to make you feel like an honored guest. I was particularly impressed by the staff and their evident training. They were polite, enthusiastic, and fully invested in ensuring that guests had a great stay. In similar boutique hotels, you might expect to see more of the owner’s presence. But at Shouzhou, the front-of-house staff take full ownership of running the property, with a level of professionalism that is both refreshing and commendable. Our journey from Qingchengshan to Qionglai and onward to Emeishan was long, but entirely worth it. We are especially grateful to the young front-of-house male staff and his colleague, who graciously offered to drive us nearly 30 minutes to a location where we could catch a Didi to Emeishan. This kind gesture was the embodiment of hospitality at its finest. I hope more people discover this hidden gem and have the chance to experience its uplifting atmosphere for themselves.

FFamily with teenHere’s a revised version of the review with that detail smoothly added: ⸻ Xingye Snow Mountain Manor – Comfortable Stay with Hot Springs, but Snow-Dependent Xingye Snow Mountain Manor is located about a 30–40 minute drive from Xiling Snow Mountain. We chose this hotel mainly for a skiing trip, with the added bonus of having hot spring facilities on-site. We stayed from 28–30 December 2025. Unfortunately, while there was a small amount of snow at the top of the mountain, there wasn’t enough snow for skiing, which is worth keeping in mind as snow conditions are very weather-dependent. The hotel itself has good facilities, including hot springs, sauna, and a swimming pool. The hot spring experience felt private and relaxing, as there are multiple smaller tubs designed for individuals or family groups, rather than one large communal pool. There is also a dedicated changing area with showers, plenty of towels, and hair dryers, which is well-organised and convenient after soaking. The surrounding area is quite deserted, with only a few old shops across the road selling BBQ skewers and basic convenience store snacks. The police station is immediately next door, which adds a sense of security. Dining options nearby are very limited, so the hotel restaurant is the most decent and reliable place to eat. We particularly enjoyed their non-spicy chicken and mushroom hotpot, priced at 368 yuan, which was generous enough for a family of 3–4 people. The breakfast was also yummy and a highlight of our stay. One nice extra was the complimentary photo session with a professional photographer. You receive 3 photos for free, and if you choose to purchase all the digital photos taken, it costs around 400 yuan for approximately 43 photos. Transportation was one downside. We didn’t enjoy using Didi in this area. On the way to Xiling Snow Mountain, the Didi fare was 40 yuan, but the driver asked for an additional 30 yuan to cover his return trip. For the return journey, the driver didn’t accept the fixed price, used the meter instead, and requested an extra 20 yuan for parking fees at the mountain. For reference, the cable car prices at Xiling Snow Mountain are 320 yuan per person per day to the top, or 250 yuan per person per day to the halfway point. If you stay at hotels near the cable car, you only pay for the ride once. Since Xingye Snow Mountain Manor is farther away, you have to pay the same cable car rate every day, which adds up. Overall, Xingye Snow Mountain Manor is a comfortable hotel with good hot spring facilities and decent food, but it’s best suited for travellers who value relaxation over convenience. If skiing is your main goal, staying closer to the cable car may be more cost-effective and practical.

The hosts were incredibly kind and even gave us a ride to the Qingcheng Mountain entrance and the Qingcheng Railway Station. If you’re planning to hike up Qingcheng Mountain, I totally recommend staying here. 1.The room was super spacious and looked just like the pictures. Everything felt fresh, clean, and super comfy. 2.The bed was really soft, and all the amenities were modern and well thought out. 3.The staff were friendly, helpful, and just really lovely overall. 4.Great location – close to Qingcheng Station and the mountain. 5.Breakfast is included, but sadly we woke up too late to try ๆit. Next time for sure! We did have lunch there though, and it was delicious. 6.Honestly, everything was great. Totally worth every penny.

GGastnutzerDas Hotel liegt auf halber Höhe des Qingcheng-Berges. Der Haupteingang des Berges ist zu Fuß in etwa 15 bis 20 Minuten zu erreichen. Abgesehen davon, dass wir mit dem Auto hochgefahren sind und nachts etwa 20 Minuten auf der Bergstraße unterwegs waren, war alles andere sehr gut. Vor dem Einchecken ruft das Hotel an und fragt, ob man zu Mittag essen möchte. Anschließend schaltet es die Klimaanlage im Zimmer ein. Wir bekamen außerdem ein kostenloses Upgrade auf ein Zimmer mit Bergblick (wahrscheinlich, weil am Montag weniger Gäste da waren). Das Hotel verfügt über einen Fitnessraum und einen Swimmingpool, die wir zwar nicht genutzt haben, aber es war schön, einfach dort zu sitzen. Die Temperatur in den Bergen ist angenehm, frisch und sehr ruhig. Das Hotel bietet außerdem einen kostenlosen Nachmittagstee an, sodass man dort einen halben Tag gemütlich verbringen kann. Auch das Frühstück am nächsten Tag war sehr reichhaltig. Obwohl der Innenraum nicht groß ist, ist die Ausstattung recht komplett, und es wird Obst geschickt, aber leider hatten wir keine Zeit, es zu essen. Kurz gesagt, dieser Ort eignet sich sehr gut für einen Freizeiturlaub oder die Teambildung im Unternehmen und ist sehr stressabbauend.

GGastnutzerDas Hotelerlebnis, das ich dieses Mal hatte, war großartig! Schon beim Betreten der Lobby spürt man die Begeisterung des Personals. Der Check-in verlief schnell und zuvorkommend und auch bei der Buchung eines Zimmer-Upgrades wurde geholfen. Das Zimmer war sauber und ordentlich, der Einrichtungsstil war schlicht und elegant, die Ausstattung war komplett, die Bettwäsche war weich und bequem und ich habe gut geschlafen. Das Frühstück bietet eine große Auswahl an chinesischen und westlichen Gerichten und schmeckt gut. Die Lage ist außerdem sehr praktisch und man kann bequem essen und einkaufen. Ich werde das nächste Mal hier wählen!
