Wir waren zum Glück nur eine Nacht hier. Dieses Hotel lebt von seiner tollen Lage am Strand und der tollen Aussicht aus den Zimmern. Wir hatten schon Probleme den Eingang zu finden, man hatte das Gefühl von Lieferanteneingang. Die Lobby nüchtern und kalt, dann das Zimmer: War renoviert, aber mehr als lieblos möbliert, leider. WLAN, lahm! Dann das Grauen: Während ich beim Frühstück auf meinen Kaffee wartete, konnte ich beobachten, wie eine Servicekraft, die Tische abräumte und „säuberte“! Mit dem Lappen, mit dem sie lustlos die Tische säuberte, wischte sie erst Abfall von einem Teller, wischte dann über den Teller und stellte in für den nächsten Gast wieder auf den Tisch!!! Ich konnte nicht fassen was ich sah, mir verging spontan der Appetit! Einmal Díaz, nie mehr Díaz!

Stayed her as part of a Newmarket tour . Disappointed with location next to a closed water park and with an uninspiring approach. Nothing nearby other than a beach and it is some distance from Mosel Bay itself. The room was nice and spacious as was the bathroom. Lovely sea view from our own balcony . Big comfortable bed. Unfortunately the TV was not working and despite our request it was not fixed. The main dining room is big with dingy black industrial looking decor and was very cold. The food was pretty good although the service was patchy. Our waitress said there was no sparkling wine or desserts! She did manage to produce ice cream and strangely on our way out we spotted some desserts in a glass fronted fridge! Breakfast was good and even better when we able to go in a different much brighter part of the restaurant overlooking the beach. The waiting on staff though seemed poorly trained. Food on our second night in another nicer restaurant area was good , especially the Malva pudding!

The Diaz hotel & Resort was loverly. The suit we had on the 11th floor was spacious, well equipped & clean. Breakfast was loverly but the evening service & food needs help, the service was VERY different to Breakfast service & the food in the evening almost felt like canteen quality.

Although the rooms were clean and comfortable the restaurant was a different story. The staff were not friendly, the food took excessively long (+/-1 hour) and was pleasant tasting but not excellent.

Our stay was lovely. I did forget to mention months front desk that the shower leaked water from the bottom (silicon might need to be redone) as once we showered the floor on the outside was very wet We were in room 909

Catering was ill prepared to cater for the avalanche of guests but they adapted and it got better Reception on arrival was chaotic - you could have done better. We were not told to go to the other building for the penthouse, so went to Room 1202 in the hotel building, and had to move over to the other. No porter assistance ... but the Maintenance men were most helpful Maintenance in the penthouse was sorely needed - we did put in a report ... door keys didn't work, then stove wasn't working. Shocking in the two bedded rooms that the bathrooms are CLEAR glass giving n privacy !- and the SIZE compared to the rest of the suite were TOO small The toillet off the main living area blocked ... this was quickly and effectively sorted out I am also unhappy that the R3,000 taken off my credit card would take so long to be credited - to date nothnig has been received Outside the bargeboards are falling off. Overall the grand lady has not been well maintained and needs some TLC NB My rating of the value reflects the smaller double rooms
