This renovated grand mansion-turned B&B was a delight to stay in. The location of the building is close to all the best restaurants and entertainment Roma Norte has to offer, and in a safe neighborhood. Our rooms were beautiful, spacious and comfortable, and the shared spaces are filled with artwork, elegant furnishings and flowers. There is also a spectacular roof deck with shade and plush furniture, should you wish to enjoy a drink with a view in the afternoon. Each morning, Chef Elena would prepare delicoius made-to-order breakfasts with fresh fruits, warm croissants, coffee (or cappuccino and espresso), yoghurt with granola, eggs any style (even chilaquiles!). Once, we had to leave at 7am to head out to Teotihuacan and she woke up early to make sure we had something to eat. We ate around a large dining room table with the other guests, which was wonderful for conversation and sharing of our experiences. The absolute best thing about the hotel (and maybe the trip) though, were our hosts, Guy (the owner), and Guillermo (the manager). They are both well traveled and worldly (Guillermo speaks seven languages fluently). Even before we arrived, Guillermo was checking in on us and sent lots of pdfs on his recommendations on where to visit and dine. He met us at the front and carried our bags in. Guy joined us each day and shared his experience with renovating the property - it really was a labor of love. There are even two furry hosts - Caramello and Molly, who made sure to greet us each time we returned to the hotel. All in all, it was a wonderful stay and we would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone coming to Mexico City.
