Mondrian Mexico City Condesa

As you enter the lobby strong smell of artificial perfume surrounds you which made me nauseous. We were upgraded to kingbed room. Shower head was broken. Shallow sink was designed for looks only. It splushes water The large structural column by the window takes up the whole one corner of the room. The room is small enough not accommodate lounge chair. Espresso maker is also broken as to the pod doesn’t stay and fall through. If you are carefully pressing it down slowly it will stay where it get skewered. This hotel is not a bad hotel. Great location. Staff is as nice as many restaurants and hotels in town. I will not stay here again because there are plenty of better hotels and rentals to stay in Mexico City.

坦白說，訂房時以為這家酒店是五星級的才訂的，但是到了酒店有點失望了，這就是一間時尚精品酒店，稱不上五星級吧，無論從酒店大堂和各項設施服務等等跟五星級有距離。 本來特地訂了一間帶浴缸的豪華房，沒想櫃檯給了我一間標準間，我據理力爭跟櫃檯要求換，結果第二天才給我換房，我住了一晚普通標準房，酒店應該給我退回一晚的差價才對。

比民宿好，至少新

In general the hotel has a good location and a great Mediterranean restaurant. We tried booking couple of tours through the hotel concierge and it was a disaster. We didn’t get a response on time and had to book directly from the vendors, which made us loose an entire day of planned activities. Twice during our stay our room was not cleaned. I complained to the management and they apologize but then it happened again. Very frustrating!

Arturo is the man to talk to. He was on top of everything we requested. Also, the concierge Melina, is super hospitable.

Don't get confused when booking the hotel if you look at photos and reviews on the internet. The Andaz and Mondrian share the space but are two different hotels. We stayed at the Mondrian. Take note that we had problems with water pressure and air in the pipes when using hot water. We assumed that this was because the hotel is in an old neighborhood so we did not talk to the front desk about this. The hotel was overall lovely and in a nice area of Mexico City. We ate several times at Chloe, The Flower Shop and Derba Matcha Café, some of the dining options on the joint properties and enjoyed the food. However, they need to improve the support provided by the front desk staff. We had a problem with connecting to the ChromeCast after using it for one of the days. We called the front desk 3-4 times to get assistance and they kept saying that someone would come assist but no one came. Then the following day, we had to go to the front desk three times before the issue was resolved. On the first occasion, I asked if they could move us to a room where the service works but I only wanted to do so if it was really necessary and they said that this would be possible. By the third visit to the front desk, when I asked if we can rather be moved to another room, they said it would be difficult because they are expecting a lot of people checking-in to the hotel. They were clearly having a problem with the service but instead of being honest with us about it, they kept dismissing us.

Very comfortable and modern room. Definitely a 5* hotel level. Room service breakfast was great. Had a couple of minor issues that were rectified quickly and professionally.

The property is extraordinarily loud. I was promised multiple times that they would move me to a room on the quieter side of the hotel only to learn in the evening that it was not possible. Then, I was charged an extra night and am currently having to dispute that with my credit card because the hotel will not respond to emails requesting a correction.

Super-helpful staff, lovely facilities (some shared with the Andaz next door, which is also very nice. Rooms were excellent and the surrounding area was really nice to explore, with some great eating / drinking options. Hope I can come back!
