Red Roof Inn Meriden

Woke up to a bed bug crawling next to my son the hotel denied it was a bug but refunded my stay

It was decent

the stay was very nice, very quiet had a little bit of stains on the wall and some hair in bathtub so it was a little put offing but overall me and my boyfriend had a great stay

nice hotel. somewhat quiet the people next door was a little loud but then soon settled down. Room and hotel was clean with the exception of a little smell- air freshner would be nice. and exception be hind bathroom door wall could use a little repair to cover hole. sheet and covers clean. bed not real comfortable. I loved that they give you small sample of soap and shampoo/conditoner. Check out I didnt like had a bucket with a sign asking that people throw key card. Glad I record dont want anyone saying I overstayed. i checked out 5 hrs ahead.

We purchased a standard room. Didn't realize it didn't have a fridge. You can tell they have done some maintenance. It was clean

I came from out of state to seemy family. This was my first and last time staying at this hotel. First of all, the check in process was tedious. There was nobody at the front desk when i walked in, so i waited and waited. Then the phone rang and I thought surely someone would come, but nope. Then i finally yelled and someone came to check me in. I had reserved this room online, but still had an application to fill out. Now mind you, I'm tired from traveling and dragging my luggage and packages. Then another page and they wanted info on my rental car. It's a rental and i did not know all this info. Got my keys and dragged everything up to my room. Neither of the keys worked which added to my annoyance, and i had to drag everything back down to get new keys as there was nobody on the floor and no hall phone. Finally got into my room and there was no refrigerator. So i took a trash bag and went to the ice maker so i can keep my beverages cold. The sign on the ice maker stated that the only working ice maker was in the lobby. Great! Now i have to get dressed and go back down. I asked the front desk where the ice maker was and told him that my room didn't have a refrigerator, he replied that it's because i reserved the "standard" room. Smh. So i went to the ice maker and it basically fell apart on me. And it was dirty! The shower in my room had mold on the ceiling, the fixtures, the wall. And there was no cable, only a roku that i had to sign into my own accounts. Unacceptable

The red roof in gas aleays made.me feel like home the staff there is so nice and good pruce for the stay as well.

Was a nice place to stay overnight for traveling. Roku tv was annoying to get connected.

Former Hampton Inn revamped into a Red Roof Inn (RRI). Having stayed at RRI before I like this set up as it does not have a motel feel with cars parked outside each door. The staff was courteous and the room was clean. For those wanting to watch local network TV be prepared, not to watch local network TV. The TV appeared to be app based so for those without Netflix, Hulu, Prime or other accounts you will be out of luck. There are free TV options if you are interested in watching programs from the 1970's through the present or pre-recorded live TV on Pluto, Freevee etc. I would stay here again.
