Hotels in der Nähe von Parque Hidalgo in Mérida

Wir waren bereits in den 90er-Jahren im Gran Hotel und haben es auch jetzt wieder als Unterkunft gewählt, weil wir den Charme dieses Hotels schätzen. V.a. der Innenhof mit den grosszügigen Veranden ist sensationell. Die Einrichtung ist alt, aber es ist alles sehr sauber. Dass es im Hotel Rattenfallen hat, ist in dieser Gegend nicht aussergewöhnlich: In vielen - auch gehobenen! - Hotels und Restaurants auf Yucatan haben wir solche Fallen gesehen. Das Personal war freundlich - insbesondere die Damen, welche jeweils das Zimmer gereinigt haben. Die Beleuchtung im Zimmer ist nicht ideal, wenn man z.B. noch altherkömmlich lesen möchte. Dass es im Hotel laut ist, ist weiter nicht überraschend, da es eben im Zentrum liegt. Schade finden wir, dass vieles vom sehr schönen Mobiliar, das wir in den 90er-Jahren noch angetroffen hatten, offenbar verkauft wurde bzw. weiter verkauft wird und durch Möbel ersetzt wurde, die vom Stil her nicht mehr so gut passen. Dennoch finden wir es toll, dass das Hotel noch seinen eigenen Stil hat und sich von vielen 'fancy' Hotels unterscheidet, welche fast überall in der Welt stehen könnten.

Es ist ein altes Hotel mit einigen Renovierungen, aber nicht genug Probleme 1 Zimmer sind zu hoch, so dass die installierten Minisplits nicht in der Lage, schnell und richtig kühlen Zimmer 2 die Etagen sind Mosaik von 60er Jahre 3 Das Badezimmer ist höher als 25 cm hoch, was es riskant macht, wenn man aus dem Kälteschrank und die Gebühr für ältere Erwachsene steigt 4 Zimmer, die die Straße gibt es sehr viel Lärm in der Nacht und sehr früh für den Verkehr 5 Nicht respektieren Reservierungen pro Betreiber wie ein 6 Das Rezeption-Personal der Morgenstunde ist unspota und hat keine Ahnung, was für die Kundenbetreuung ist und dass ein Hotel im Tourismus leben 7 Das Hotel gehört zu einer Konzession oder eine Freistellung genannt Kavia, zu der viele Hotels in der Stadt gehören, die sichtbar nicht überwacht die Hotels, die gehören Absolut nicht empfehlenswert besser finden andere Optionen, auch wenn sie nicht im Zentrum

This is a 3 star review based on averaging 1 star concerns and 5 star aspects. 1-star concerns relate to safety. Two things that were concerning: (1) my father slipped and fell in the bathroom at 4AM and lost consciousness. When I yelled loudly for help in the courtyard (including ”hospital!!” because we thought he maybe had a heart attack or was otherwise dying), NO ONE RESPONDED. The hotel is an open air building all facing an inner courtyard so someone should have heard my loud yelling, especially when pitch quiet at 4AM. Thankfully, my father was OK later that night and next day. (2) When I told this story to the front desk the next day, the woman was not at all concerned that a guest could have died at their property. I asked to confirm that someone works the night shift, so I am not sure why no one responded that night. She asked if we called the front desk that night, which I did not because my father was possibly dying so no, I did not have time to figure out what the front desk number was at 4AM. Also no one responded to me YELLING for help, so I doubt someone would pick up the phone. She said she would tell the night shift, but there was otherwise no follow up. I also provided this story on a guest comment card when we left - also no follow up. 5-star - hotel is in a great location in the center of town near the main plaza, and it is a charming building with a lovely courtyard and rooftop pool. As other reviews mention, the rooms are rustic/simple/basic but they are perfectly serviceable, especially given the price and location. If not for the safety concerns, I would stay again.

A few days before, we stayed in another hotel a few blocks away for the same price, but stayed here when we returned to Merida. It was better a better value here. I would stay here again. PROs: GREAT value for the cheap price! The location was perfect - one block from Parque Santa Lucía, a lively area with shops, parks, and restaurants, about a 7 min walk north to the start of the main ”strip” of Merida - Avenida Montejo, and an 8 min walk south to the Zocalo. Great day desk clerk! The night clerk was just kinda there. The decor was really cute. My friend and I stayed in the Hollywood room. The A/C worked well (even if it was loud) and there was also a large ceiling fan. The shower water was hot. There's no fridge or microwave in the room, but the desk clerk offered to keep my drink in the staff fridge. There's a microwave in a small common patio dining area with a few tables. There IS an elevator, but it's extremely small and slow. The lobby is small, but air conditioned. Bag storage. CONs: The room was not large, but it wasnt tiny, either. It was still comfortable for 2 people. The bathroom was small, but functional. The water pressure was low. No window, so the bathroom was hot and humid after showers. No sink counter space. Slippery shower tile. The ”pool” is really just a small plunge/ standing pool that's located right in front of the small lobby. The room did smell a tad musty, but it was faint. I think it had as much to do with the A/C as the dusty velvet drapes. Our room window overlooked the ”pool”, so it was made of blurry glass for privacy, which was fine, but it did not open, so we could not get any air. It was hotter than Hades outside, so I doubt we would've opened it, anyway. We did open the curtains, though, because the room lighting was a bit dark, so I suppose the blurry glass was better than everyone in the lobby staring into our room. The closet was an alcove with a shelf. It was doable, but only for one large suitcase, really. The beds were hard, but typical for Mexico. It's located on a side street and there isn't any parking. But guests can park at the public lot a block away and the hotel validates the parking. **The garage is NOT 24/7, but the receptionist can go unlock the garage door for you after hours. ***HOWEVER, keep in mind the entire street is blocked off (and enforced by police presence) on Sundays for bicycles, so it was very difficult for us to get the car that day. Plan accordingly.

Die Lage ist unverbesserlich, zwischen zwei schönen Parks und vielen leckeren Restaurants, ist sehr sauber, hat seinen Innenhof wie fast alle klassischen Gebäude in diesem Bereich, sehr schön, Aber die besonderen Anmerkungen werden von der Personalaufsicht getragen, denn sie sind alle sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Sie haben einen Parkplatz. Vielen Dank für die angenehme Erfahrung, wir haben sie wunderbar.

Was quite nice, the place was awesome and very clean. It's in the middle of the center.

Zwei Doppelzimmer wurden für 6 Nächte, eine auf der ersten und eine auf der sechsten Etage besetzt. Die erste Etage hatte einen normalen Reinigungsdienst , obwohl wir am 4. Tag eine medizinische Bescheinigung beantragen mussten, Am Anfang des Tages, als die Klimaanlage anfing, war dieser Wasserflug durch den Eingang ins Zimmer geflogen, was berichtet wurde, um den Nachteil zu begegnen. In der Zimmer 6 Etage ist die Nichtreinigung des Zimmers vor allem im Badezimmer, es wird beobachtet, dass nur die Betten gespannt waren, eines der Tage im Zimmer wartete der Reinigungsdienst ankommen und erwartete außerhalb des Zimmers und in 3 Die Mukama ging aus und erklärte, sie sei schon bereit, als sie eintrat, wurde das Zimmer überprüft und die Kommentare warnt. Es wird auf der Rezeption kommentiert, was nicht mehr kommentiert wurde. Ich hoffe, dass die Kommentare zur Stärkung der Möglichkeiten genutzt werden, damit der Service nicht zum Nutzen des Hotels und der Kunden abfällt. Gegrüßt

Gute Lage. Es wird schallend von morgens - die Straße ist nahe. Die schlechte Lage des Klimaanlagen - es blows direkt auf dem Bett, in der Nacht muss es zumindest gestellt werden, sonst wird es verkauft. Das Hotel verfügt über einen eigenen Parkplatz, einen großen Plus. Von den Nebenstöcken: das Zimmer konnte nicht außerhalb geschlossen werden, das Schloss funktionierte nicht; es sollte repariert werden
