The staff are super friendly and helpful. The view of the ocean and Mount vesuvius is superb. They run a shuttle bus up and down to the main part of sorrento which is very helpful. We would stay here again. We found the whole experience very enjoyable

Excellent quality of service from all staff. Extra clean and tidy in all areas. Fantastic selection at breakfast. Lovely locally sourced foods for meal selections. Extensive wine selection. Wonderfully situ eyed close to the little village.

Such a lovely grand Italian hotel. Clean and comfortable with warm and welcoming staff. Excellent buffet breakfast and lovely evening meals. The pool is clean with lots of sun loungers. Renato the manager is very friendly and attentive, along with the reception staff, nothing is too much trouble for them. Highly recommended.

Excellent hotel clean and tidy rooms are decent size however can hear noise from other rooms. All staff were extremely friendly from the manager to reception and the hotel shuttle bus is very handy otherwise a taxi is very expensive to get down to sorrento. Breakfast was great and the views of the hotel were amazing. The pool area was nice great place to relax.

I highly recommend the Hotel Jaccarino. Which is high up in the mountains in the small, peaceful and friendly village of Sant' Agata sui due Golfi. The hotel has wonderful views overlooking Sorrento and the Gulf of Naples with Mount Vesuvius in the distance. Which can be seen from the hotel terrace and some of the rooms. Although I was travelling alone and I am disabled with lots of aches and pains. I really enjoyed my stay at this lovely hotel and all of the staff were very friendly, kind and helpful. Especially, the manager Renato. Also, the food was very good and plentiful. I just booked a single room which had a small balcony and was on the side of the hotel overlooking the mountains and the back of some of the houses in the small village of Sant' Agata. The hotel also has a free shuttle bus into Sorrento.

A perfect 2 week stay from first to last. On the first day we arrived late at night to a warm welcome and a meal left for us in our room which was greatly appreciated by 2 weary travellers. Throughout our stay the evening meals were excellent Italian fare with plenty of choice and always delicious. These were served by friendly and efficient waiters. (special thanks to Marco). The breakfast buffets offered an amazing variety - something for every conceivable taste. Our room was cleaned very well by our charming chambermaid and fresh towels & bed linen changed regularly. In fact the hotel was kept spotless throughout by the cleaning team (always with a smile). Reception staff were very helpful & friendly with good response to requests and ready with useful tips and information. Renato (The Boss) is a constant presence and takes the happiness of his guests very seriously and his happy & hard working staff are a testament to this. I have been flabbergasted to see some of the negative comments in other reviews!! One thing that may not suit some visitors is the quiet setting (a plus for us) with little nightlife. However, the small town of St. Agata is less than 5 mins walk away and the Hotel runs a courtesy bus to Sorrento ( the local SITA bus also passes the door). The upside of being in the hills above Sorrento is the fantastic view all the way to Vesuvius. We were sad to leave but we will definitely return.

From the moment I arrived to the moment I departed, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this little gem of a hotel. This was my very first visit to Italy but I was made to feel so welcome by Renato and his wonderful staff. The hotel is full of traditional charm with modern day facilities - yes, there is free wifi throughout the whole building! I was on a half board basis and the meals were delicious. Breakfast was self service with cereals, croissants, rolls, cheeses etc. They also do omelettes and pancakes to order. There are juices and hot drinks - the wonderful waiters bring the tea, coffee etc to your table. Evening meals are full waiter service. Every night there was a choice of starters, then a choice of mains and finally desserts. My room was number 68. The bed was really comfortable. There is a TV, free to use safe and fridge. The bathroom currently has a bath and shower (they are going to be altered soon). The only issues with the room are it is right beside the lift (which makes a doorbell sound when it reaches the floor) and there is no view from the window. However the views from the terrace, where you can enjoy a snack, coffee or a drink, more than made up for that. The hotel has a beautiful swimming pool and sun terrace with loungers. Just a few minutes walk from the hotel is the local village which features cafes, shops and a beautiful church. There is also a bus stop just outside the hotel. If you wish to explore the local city of Sorrento, the hotel has a free shuttle bus that will take you there in a few minutes. Just notify the reception staff that you wish to go. Reception is also the place to go if you wish to book a few excursions to help you pass the time. You are in the perfect spot to visit the tragic ancient cities of Pompeii and Herculaneum as well as the cause of their destruction, Mount Vesuvius. Or you may prefer to take a boat trip to Capri or around the Amalfi coast. I cannot really say how much I enjoyed my stay at this beautiful hotel…. I really hope to return in the not too distant future.
