Dar Assiya

Riad Dar Assiya was truly spectacular. The people who work here are so kind and accommodating, and they made our stay so wonderful. It was very safe, the breakfast was delicious, and the rooms were unbelievably beautiful! Exactly as pictured. The Riad coordinated airport pick-ups and drop-offs with us by calling us taxis and having a local carry our bags and lead us through the markets so we didn't get lost. They were very responsive over email at all times and flexible with any changes in plans that we had. Some things to note (not cons by any means, but just an FYI), the Riad is difficult to find and not easily accessible by vehicle. We couldn't find it on Google Maps or Maps.Me, so we had to drop a pin to locate it which wasn't an issue at all. We are mentioning this in case this is a concern of yours while you search for a place to stay. The second thing we noticed was that the Riad utilized taxis and local people to carry our things and lead us through, which is super convenient and great, but we have stayed at Riads for less that utilized private cars and their own employees to walk us to and from the Riad. The third thing we noticed was that the wifi wasn't very consistent, but it was stellar for regular use (not really for video calls though). That being said, this was the most luxurious-feeling Riad we have stayed in yet, and the service was amazing. The notes above are not at all against the Riad since we always felt safe, secure, and cared for, but we would've liked to know these things ahead of time, so we mention it here. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a luxurious place to call home while in Marrakesh. We will absolutely stay here again :)

This was just a BIG 5 Star Riad! We absolutely loved it! We were 2 couples and spent 4 nights here on a 7 day trip. We were thrilled w have found this place. Mohammed and Moaud were extremely hospitable. One of our friends got a stomach bug and was sick for about 2 days. The staff took very good care of him and even made sure he would get something to eat and sooth his stomach. The chef is wonderful. We had 2 dinners here and let me tell you they were the best meals we had in the Medina! Make sure to ask for the meals. Moroccan tea was served all the time, which is the best here. Rooms were gorgeous and very clean. Note: you can hear everything in and out of the rooms. Breakfast was fabulous. Only negative which does not affect the Riad whatsoever, was getting to the Riad from the taxi stand or to taxi stand. Its about a 7 minute walk in the chaos of the Medina to get to the Riad. The good thing is google maps works and you can follow the directions to it. Its quite a maze which we got lost several times to and from lol. It was a lot of fun.

I had a great time at Dar Assiya. Unadulterated traditional interior and hospitality.. Pleasant environment, friendly, flexible and professional staff. A quiet island in the heart of the bustling Medina. I recommend it to everyone with a warm heart.

Dar Assiya is highly recommended riad for those who wants to be accomodated in historical place in the heart of Marrakech. Staff is also superkind and helpful! All our needs were immediately solved. Super, homemade breakfast and dinner were available.

I love Marrakech and I have visited numerous times This riad is in a good location, well presented and clean, the rooms are made up daily The staff are very helpful and polite We booked a dinner for the first night and it was delicious My only comment about the bedrooms would be the beds are too firm, there is no give at all in the mattresses and they would benefit from a quality mattress topper to add a bit of comfort, the pillows one was firm and the other very soft so difficult to get comfortable, it is so important to a guests experience to have a good nights sleep. The only other experience I would like to share is the charges for all the extras, you are given two small bottles of water in your room but it was a hot weekend and we asked for more water this is charged at 2.50 euros a bottle plus mint tea and coffee at 2.50 euros and a beer 5 euros. The wine with dinner was 35 euros. All the other times I have stayed in a riad I have never been charged for water, coffee or tea so it was a surprise when we got the bill and the high prices, we even got charged for biscuits tht we had not asked for. My advice is to go to a local shop and buy your own for a lot less, it was a real shame this had not been made clear on check in and the price list was not in your room as it did dampen the overall experience.

This is a perfect place to be inside the Medina! The more then great service team of Dar Assiya Le Grand (especially Mouad) in combination with this very beautiful place (which you can’t expect behind the walls of the Medina and its atmosphere), has made our vacation perfect. If you search a luxury place within the Median, in the pulse of Marrakesh, here you are at the perfect right place! Step in and feel the great hospitality. The food which was served in DAR Assiya Le Grand is also very excellent and we had really enjoyed it twice, because so tasty and good for us. Our pictures may say more then words!

This place is fantastic! The rooms are amazing as is the location of the riad. The service was also excellent. My husband and I were leaving very early in the morning the day we checked out and they went out of their way to ensure we had a full breakfast before departing. Absolutely delightful! I only wish we could have stayed longer.

Fantastic experience at a very classy riad near the souks. All amenities were top quality and the food was excellent. Service was exceptional. Great value. I recommend getting one of the larger rooms upstairs regardless of how many people staying. Will stay again next time!
