Wunderschönes, char***tes Hotel am Rande der Backwaters. Es gibt nur wenige Zimmer (11) und ***er auch bei vollem Hotel wenig Gedränge. Die Küche ist ausgezeichnet und ausschließlich hausgemacht aus frischen Zutaten. Es ist ratsam, Ihr Menü vor dem Essen auszuwählen, damit es fertig ist, wenn Sie an den Tisch kommen: Haus***nskost braucht etwas Zeit. Schöner, nicht überfüllter Strand in 300 m Entfernung (oder 10 Minuten mit dem Kanu). Ayurveda-Zentrum 5 Minuten mit dem Tuktuk entfernt, was einen Umweg wert ist (De***der an der Rezeption). Eine besondere Erwähnung gilt dem zahlreichen Personal (insgesamt 20 Personen für maximal 23 Gäste!), das in allen Kategorien rücksichtsvoll und aufmerksam ist, um den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten. Immer ein Lächeln, ein Gruß oder ein kleiner Satz, der den Tag schöner macht. Eine dieser Adressen, zu denen wir mit schönen Erinnerungen zurückkehren.

Schönes Hotel; geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Originales Badezimmer mit teilweise offenem Dach. Sauberes und sehr angenehmes Schwimmbad. Schöne Aussicht auf einen Fluss, von dem aus *** mit Booten zum Strand gelangen kann. Fahrradverleih auch. Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis

This is a great location for people looking to disconnect, relax, and enjoy being close to nature and the beach, as we did during our honeymoon. Those looking for an activity-packed resort option should look elsewhere. The property is a renovated colonial-style house with a lush garden with a small pool and access to a canal that leads to a nearby beach -- don't miss out on the unique experience of taking the hotel's canoe to the beach! (the beach is unfortunately not great for swimming due to the strong current). You will probably eat most of your meals at the hotel restaurant, which had great option. Good variety for the few days we were there. Try the dosa for breakfast if available, the grilled paneers, and the biryanis. We are thankful to Tom, the head waiter, for the fantastic attention while we were there. Pro tip: pre-order your dinner meal in the afternoon to make the kitchen's life easier. We arranged airport pickup from Kochi through the hotel and the pickup was smooth and easy, exactly what you want after a long flight.

This is certainly a lovely hotel with a nice atmosphere and interiors. The bedroom was spacious & comfortable but did lack hanging space for ladies' dresses and there weren't sufficient shelves/drawers for all our other clothes. The big disappointment was having no fridge in the room and it was totally needed. We did mention this and they thought maybe it had been removed for repair, anyway we never got one. The pool area is small with only some beds getting the sun. The outdoor restaurant served very nice food and the two guys running it were very good and very friendly - thank you both. The hotel isn't positioned so you can go out for a nice walk, but there is a beach nearby ( 10 minute walk or by canoe but it's a bit deserted with no sun beds or a cafe /bar there for even a cold drink. ) The beach further on is around a 30 minute walk away. So you were slightly limited where you could go by foot but we didn't realise that at the time of booking. We did enjoy our stay hence the 4/5 but couldn't give it 5 due to the points mentioned above.

Authentic Kerala setup , both cuisine and the heritage hotel. A must visit resort. Very welcoming staff. Service was great. Very close to the beach. Clean and well maintained rooms with antique Kerala furniture and decor. Very quiet environment away from the madenning crowd.

A really lovely place to base yourself in near Allepey. Food in the restaurant is really good and Tom an excellent waiter. Nothing was too much for the friendly staff. They are happy to organize excursions to the backwaters etc. Rooms are spacious.

We spent 5 days at Flamingo, where we appreciated the whole team. We felt like home, in this amazing hotel,had great food and enjoyed our room. Well situated, close to the beach. We highly recommended this hotel, if you want to enjoy your stay at Marari don't hesitate a whole second book at Flamingo.

A hotel is something like a church. It’s the people who make it special and also the service. I have never been to a hotel where the service and staff have featured so highly. On arrival the chap on the gated entrance sets the tone. Friendly and professional. The setting is fabulous, the rooms so spacious! The menu and food are exceptional ***** with the service. Every single member of staff are friendly and welcome with a huge smile. This was the best hotel we stayed in whilst travelling India for almost 3 weeks, living out of suitcases. Congratulations to all from a most satisfied client. Thank you

This is a calm quiet luxury boutique hotel who are doing everything well. Really enjoyed our 4 days here. Canoe to the beach, eat breakfast, lunch dinner at a good Restaurant. Serve cold beer & wine, smile on faces of all staff they can’t do enough. Lovely heartfelt feel to the place. Wonderful to relax here after weeks of Indian cities!
