Great host, he was very helpful and nice to all of us. The premises and decorations are great. Walking distance to Peñafiel's Plaza del Coso. Facilities such as bbq, swimming pool and even kayaks made us have a great time 😁. Will definitely come back.

Impecable service, cleanliness and charm. Felix the owner gave us a great overview of the place and area. Felix the owner greeted us, gave us an overview of Peñafiel, recommended activities for us and had a binder full of information ready for us. Best of all, Felix had stocked the fridge with Water, Orange Juice, jamón serrano, cheese, regular ham, bread, coffee and Magdalenas for our consumption. The service was extraordinary.

This property made me feel at home. It was amazing.

Beautiful upscale property; super nice and friendly hosts; spacious, very comfortable, apartment fronting the Duraton River, all located in a fantastic wine region…

This is our best staying in our 28 days in Spain; the owner Mr. Felix so friendly and so worry to let guests happy, the accomodation and place are clean, modern, well equipped; and so relaxing, our only regret was stayed only 1 day. Our twins loved the place, and said when we will back ( we used only stay in places rating 9.0 or more, usually 4* or more ) Go is beyond your expectation for relaxing stay.

Much like Don Quixote, Felix and Rita imagined what others could not. They have taken an old furniture factory and converted into a marvelous Spanish hotel setting complete with clean, comfortable rooms, free wi-fi, and abundant breakfast provisions. Accommodations are equally favorable to families or couples / individuals. On the premise are bicycles (we used every day to ride into town), two above ground pools, basketball goal and a paddle ball court. Cervantes would be impressed. Located about 120 miles north of Madrid, Finca,Valdobar and Penafiel rests on the rugged high plains along the Duero River between Valladolid and Aranda. We arrived at the Madrid Airport around 0900 am, immediately rented a car and were at the hotel in two hours. The drive is striking… imagine Don Quixote on horseback jousting with windmills. This region has its own charm – think Texas Hill Country meets Tuscany... A barren plateau with hilltop villages; that just happens to produce some of the world’s best wines. I must add that Penafiel in itself is a gem of a village, protected by a 10th century castle locally known as el buque (now converted into a wine museum). Food is excellent in this region… A must order is perhaps the world’s best roast lamb – called locally as Lechazo. Come now before this places becomes too famous! And stay at the Finca Valdobar!!!

Increíble departamento en todos los sentidos, amplio, limpio, confortable, servicio excelente, con cocina incluida, lavadora y secadora a tu disposición, cuidan todos los detalles para que tu estancia sea placentera, áreas exteriores muy amplias.

Incrível lugar. Penafiel e um charme por se só e a Finca Valdobar e um tesouro na cidade. Começando que fica a margem de um afluente do rio Douro com uma bela paisagem mesmo em dias frios de inverno. Felix nos recepcionou com maestria indicando mesmo em um dia a noite com tudo fechado o que poderiamos ver, fazer e comer na cidade, além de mencionar detalhes da história que trazem ainda mais um charme pra cidade. Uma pena que tivemos tão pouco tempo pra explorar ainda mais em detalhes. Mesmo com chuva a cidade tem seus encantos seja no castelo ou nos detalhes de sua plaza del coso! Uma maravilha que certeza em uma outra oportunidade iremos retornar! Muito obrigado ao Felix e a familia Finca Valdobar pela excepcional recepção! O quarto oferece uma linda vista e tudo estava disponível para uma excelente hospedagem!
