🪳 Cockroaches, Ants & Four Days of Cold Showers – We Came Home Early! My friend and I stayed at W Suites, Stalis from 27th September 2026. I’ll start with the positive. On arrival, Ben was very helpful, showed us to our apartment (number 6), and the staff in general were pleasant. Sadly, it went downhill rather quickly from there. First, the cockroaches. And I’m not talking about the occasional tiny insect. These cockroaches were so big they looked like they had prison tattoos and previous convictions. 🪳 Then came the ants. Ants everywhere. There is actually information on the apartment door explaining that ants can be a problem because the apartments are surrounded by greenery. Sorry, but I’ve stayed in plenty of places surrounded by greenery without having an ant army sharing my accommodation. Surely some form of pest control or ant treatment could be used rather than simply putting up a notice explaining why they are there? But the insects weren’t even the worst part. We had NO HOT WATER. At first, I was understanding. The weather had been dreadful, with thunderstorms and heavy rain, so I wondered whether that might have caused the problem. I reported it to reception and was told the technical team would sort the problem in apartment 6. They didn’t. I reported it again. And again. And again. For FOUR DAYS. Each day we were told there was a technical problem, yet each day we were still treated to another invigorating ice-cold shower. We weren’t the only guests complaining either, as people in other apartments were reporting the same issue. Hot water isn’t a luxury. Being able to have a warm shower and wash properly is one of the most basic things you expect when you pay for holiday accommodation. Eventually, after four days of freezing cold showers, cockroaches built like bouncers and ants marching around the apartment like they owned the place, we’d had enough. We actually cut our holiday short and flew home early. That says everything. It’s a shame because the staff themselves were pleasant, but repeatedly reporting such a basic problem and having nothing done about it completely ruined our holiday. Would I recommend W Suites? Absolutely not. Would I stay here again? I’d rather take my chances holidaying with the cockroaches — although judging by their size, I suspect they’re already paying the mortgage. 🪳

I really needed to write a review, so anyone in my position would definitely visit. We’ve had a hard few years as a family. So get the right holiday and having the family time and chillout time that we so badly needed was very important. I booked a holiday with Jet2 that got cancelled a week before we were due to go. And we were offered W suite it was a totally different location too. I was very sceptical because I had gone through every single review for the Old holiday to make sure it was going to be right. But there was absolutely no need to be worried. We got there quite late And we greeted Very welcomely. We went to our apartment which was perfect 2 rooms so we didn’t have the kids on top of us. We were told we couldn’t use the pool as you walk in. It’s for adults only. I was quite worried that the other one wouldn’t be very nice. But all expectations were blown out the window because it was lovely. Everything was perfect. We mainly had the pool to ourselves most of the time. No fight for sunbeds, which I was really worried about. Nothing was too much trouble. The cleaners were really friendly and kept our rooms immaculate. Everyone was so lovely with my five year-old twin boys. (Mini vikings) as everyone called them. Was lovely to be down at the bar in the evenings. And then pop out for some dinner. All the restaurants are lovely We only had trouble with one, but this isn’t about them. My boys had the most amazing time smiles on their faces the whole time they keep begging me to go back. 100% we will be coming back next year. And literally can’t wait gonna count down the days. Thank you so much everyone for being so accommodating and making the holiday that we really needed totally perfect. 🥰

We spent 10 days here and can honestly say it was the most relaxing time. Super comfy pool loungers(and no fight for them). Ants were a bit of an issue(the only reason I didn’t give five stars). Anzi is the star of the holiday, so friendly and welcoming, she even waved us off, she is amazing. Shout out also to the man at the pool bar (we didn’t get his name). Overall an amazing stay!!! Another sour point, the dark haired lady was very rude when we tried explaining a drink my daughter had 3-4times previously, The wonderful Anzi knew exactly what we meant.

Great value for money. Basic rooms but very clean. Staff are lovely. One evening we couldn’t get a taxi to Stalis and one of the staff got her car and gave us a lift. They are all so kind. Restaurants in the area were very good. But even in the bar in W Suites the drinks were very good at reasonable prices. We had a lovely relaxing 10 days and have rebooked for August 2026. The pools were ideal sun beds available every day. So looking forward to going back for another 10 days. Normally we go all inclusive but the self catering was lovely with a different restaurant every night in Stalis and Malia.

Hello Nikos here !We have the best service all over the stalis! cleaning lady are very good!we have very good service!I work all the winter to prepear the hotel!I am 10 years at Wsuites!I try to do the best for these place!to be honest every year is better better !All the people know this!i think is the write place to relax and have good holidays! form the ather side you can't make every one happy!From the first year i try to do the best for my friend and my geust! This 10 years i make this place 9 time's bigger!All the good people who want to have good holidays are welcome! We had great holiday,bed good,food good,drinks good,swimmingn pool perfect!Many sunbeds,big parking!Very clean!
