A very comfy sleep in the centre of Madrid-Good mattress and chair to work This hotel is only one star, but the quality is medium/high. I booked a double bed and a private bathroom; the price is around 100 euros, which I think is expensive, but it may be the usual price in Madrid for one star hotels. The location is convenient for Line 1, the blue line and stop ”Estrecho”; L1 stops at Atocha, the high/speed station. The ride is approximately 30 minutes. The personnel are very kind and helpful. I was able to check in early since I needed to work. The room is small, but the bed has a nice size. It is very clean. However, it is difficult to keep up the highest standards since the floor is white and there were some hairs on the floor. I had a very good sleep; The quality of the mattress is excellent, and people are respectful and quiet, even though there are some common areas for guests who share bedrooms or other amenities. The chair in the bedroom is very comfy to work on. I managed to work for eight hours. All the furniture is of high standards, overall. There is complimentary tea and decaf coffee the whole day round. On the bad side, the breakfast was not great. The quality of the products is not good, for example, bread, jam (low-calories), pastries, or juices, which are not fruit natural juices. There are not too many options. The breakfast should start earlier than 8 am, above all for guests who are on business. I do not think guests should wash their dishes, but rinse them and allocate them in the dishwasher since they are using the same sponge, and after COVID-19, this practice should be avoided for further illnesses. The coffee machine provides coffee but is not of such good quality. It does not come hot enough. The quality of the towels is not good. They are old and do not dry properly. I think it is essential to have recycling bins, in particular, since guests are booking to sleep and they cook and prepare their food. The coffee machine does not allow you to reuse your glass, which is a shame as per providing a new glass with a plastic spoon every time you want a coffee. I tried to press the option ”no glass”, but it will not work. It seems that everything goes in the same bin. The shower has low pressure and two taps. It is not easy to reach quick and warm water. The head is not mobile, so girls bring your shower cap. The quality of the shower gel is nice. Very fashionable!!

Please Avoid this place. It is cheap but nothing else! I stayed here checked into the receiption which is 24 hours after my working day. The place is near the metro cuatro caminos (a mainly poorer area of Madrid with lots of south american population). The area does have a 24 hour supermarket which was good as the hostal has no food/drink facilities. The room was a very small single bed as I was alone on an education course for my job. The room had a fan and tv and a small table. Once you switch off the light the fan goes off so you cannot sleep with the fan on at night with 39c heat. you cannot leave the window open as its not a safe place. The first moment I checked in, i quickly went outside to get air and get the metro outside. They checked in a drunk african man at 6pm in the evening who was walking up the stairs with a can of beer unable to walk or see anything (their is no lift to the rooms) you need to walk up around 50 stairs to the rooms. They take anyone from the streets if they pay the small charge to stay here. Second day, the two receiptionists or owners were fighting over money from the hotel they were shouting and getting agressive. Its was an uncomfortable situation to see. I left and came back after work for a shower and the room had not been cleaned. They said you didnt put a badge on the door saying clean my room. Couldnt they knock and say something? Very strange way of working? The next day I put the badge clean my room but NO nothing changed. It was an excuse.. Then I went and complained he didnt speak any English and didnt want to know he said the cleaners left and nothing he can do. I pulled off the bedsheets, but the bed protector was badly stained with blood and I also got a skin rash. I left the property 1 day early, it was disgusting. The toilets were not cleaned either and insects were crawling everywhere. This place should be closed down immediately. They dont take security or cleaning seriously, they dont want to know problems only take your money. I explained to Expedia about this place but the hotel denied everything. SHAME!!!

Ich kam gerade von einer 2-Nacht-Reise nach Madrid mit Freunden für meine Hühner. Das Hotel war nur 15 Minuten vom Flughafen, in der Nähe einer U-Bahnstation und in einer schönen Gegend. Die Zimmer waren modern und sauber, große Duschen, und die Dachbar und der Pool waren ausgezeichnet, vor allem wenn es 37 Grad ist! Mein einziger Schwanz war, dass die VIP-Lounges zu teuer waren, so unverwendet von jedem während wir da waren. Wenn das Hotel Ihnen erlaubte, eine Nominalgebühr zu zahlen, solange Sie X-Beträge auf Getränke verbrachten, das wäre gerechter. Ich hoffe, dass es wieder sein wird!

Gute Wahl für eine Unterkunft**** eine oder zwei Nächte und besuchen Sie Madrid für jede Veranstaltung (wir benutzen es für Spiele in Bernabéu). Sehr gute Lage, in der Nähe von Geschäften, U-Bahn, Restaurants... Das richtige Zimmer, zum Preis, den Sie haben, kann nicht mehr bestellt werden. Wir waren 3 mal und wir würden es wiederholen.

Senator Castellana is situated in the north of the city of Madrid, close to both Tétuan and Cuzco metro stations. It is also a ten minute walk away from the Santiago Bernabéu stadium. My room was decent with a comfortable bed and hot shower although there was no bath tub. Tea & coffee making facilities, a safe and a refrigerator with complimentary water were also supplied. Breakfast was really good with plenty of choice, both hot and cold items. I particularly enjoyed the potato tortilla. There was an ‘honesty’ bar whereby you helped yourself to drinks - primarily spirits and beer - and settled up with reception when finished. I paid £160 for two nights with breakfast.

Der Platz sieht wirklich schattend in sich. Sie haben nur entzündbare Betten, die extrem unbehaglich sind. Keine Lockerung, aber Sie können die Rezeption bitten, die Lagertür zu öffnen, wo jeder seine Taschen und wichtige Sachen speichert und dieses Lager jederzeit verriegelt wird.

Hotel is a short walk from the Alvarado metro stop, which is 6 stops from the Gran Via. Fairly affluent, businessy neighbourhood. Hotel staff courteous. Room opened on to a spacious terrace. (Not all rooms have one.) Double bed had one slim pillow each and squeaky springs. Street can be noisy at night. Bathroom did not have a full door, so lack of privacy if you're sharing. Television stopped working after the first day. Heater did not respond to the remote control. The kitchen had a hob, a fridge with a freezer, some cooking and eating utensils, and a sink. NO oven or microwave. (There was an empty shelf over the cooker that may have contained a microwave once upon a time.) I found that bad form. One of the main reasons I chose this hotel was that it offered a kitchen. I was travelling on a low budget and could not afford to eat out. If you're going to promise your guests a kitchen, then that kitchen should contain the kinds of things kitchens normally contain.

Wir warten mit unserer Familie hier. Es ist ein schönes Hotel, modern, interessantes Interieur. Leider ging während der vier Tage die Klimaanlage im ganzen Haus nicht und man müsste den Lärm von Standgeräten ertragen. Im Zimmer selbst hat es bei vier Personen nur sehr bedingt Erleichterung geschafft. Beim Frühstück war es so laut wie auf der Autobahn. Als Preisermäßigung wurde uns kostenloses Frühstück angeboten, was wie gerne angenommen haben. Zudem war die Dachterrasse mit einer privaten Veranstaltung belegt, so dass man sie nicht nutzen konnte. Das geht gar nicht, wenn sie Bestandteil des Hotelangebotes ist.
