Iberotel Luxor

Hotel location was great, 10 minutes walk from Luxor Station, right on the Nile, staff is super friendly and polite, especially Ms. Mayar who’s super helpful and cheerful spirit made our stay joyful. Room was super clean with enough amenities. Breakfast was amazing, big variety and fresh, also don’t miss the beautiful sunset at the pool by the Nile, and watching hot air balloons in the morning. Nice Egyptian food restaurant nearby on the river called “ El Kababgy” recommending you to try their Tajin & Mix Grill. Thank you Luxor Iberotel, will definitely go there again.

The hotel has a really good location and is within walking distance to the top attractions and restaurants on the east bank. There is a man with a boat that seems to be exclusive to the hotel that will take you across the Nile to the west bank. The stores at the hotel are presently closed and the ones that are close to the hotel seem to offer tourist prices but if you go a few blocks in you can find shops with more fair prices. The amenities are quite nice at the hotel and it has one of the best west facing gardens and pool with spectacular views of the sunset. The food at the restaurant was quite good and the breakfast was nice. They even offer box lunches if you ask the day before and it was nice for our early excursion to the east bank. The only downside was that the service at this hotel needs improvement specifically at the pool, restaurant and room service. At the pool we were accused of breaking an ash tray, felt the servers ignored us when we were looking for a menu to order drinks and it closes before sunset despite a well lit deck and a good view of the sunset. For breakfast we felt we had to get down there early or there wouldn't be any clean tables left and we wouldn't be offered coffee or tea. Our room ran out of shower gel and I turned the bottle up so the cleaner would see but they missed it and also didn't tidy up the bathroom that well. We had to ask for water three times over the course of 24 hours and only got it when I approached the front desk to speak to Ahmed to share our experience with service at the hotel. The rooms are a bit aged and we felt the room wasn't too clean. There was hair throughout the bathroom and it didn't smell the best. The AC wasn't that strong but we found in March it cools off at night in Luxor so it was fine for us. It was a place to sleep and we felt the beds were comfy and clean during our stay. The only thing that took away from our sleep was that we were facing the road and the noise of the carriages and taxis honking kept my wife up. Ear plugs might be suggested for this hotel. Overall we enjoyed our stay for the great location, Nile views and amenities. There are better options in the area but you'd be paying significantly more for them.

Ubicación inmejorable. Personal de recepción muy atento, excelente el servicio diario de limpieza. Habitación interior amplia y limpia. El desayuno es muy completo y variado. Buenas camas y baños limpios. Jardines con piscina flotante. Relación calidad-precio buena. 100% recomendable.

I arrived at 10pm and check in process was very frustrating. First time I got the room card, it wasn’t activated, so had to walk back to the reception. Then I had to do another 2 walks to reception as they kept giving me a twin room instead of the double bed room I have booked and paid for. Bed mattresses needs replacing as it has two lower parts within it, never seen that in the 4 star hotel. On the positive side the breakfast was the best I had in Egypt hotel. Nice swimming pool and amenities.

Hotel has lots of restaurants and bars. The dinner buffet was actually pretty good. It’s a nice location. BUT the room is definitely a 2 star hotel room. They only provide a hand towel and body towel. No other towels including no bathroom floor towel nor mat. The bed is very firm. The room is very old. The master light switches do not work. You need to manually turn on the lamps. I ordered room service and they didn’t bring me what I ordered. The food was burnt and they substituted food without asking. It should have French fries, but they gave me bread and rice. I didn’t eat 90% of the food and left it outside my door to be thrown away.

As a solo traveler, I found the hotel a bit outdated, but the room was satisfactory. The breakfast provided diverse and tasty options. The staff was friendly, amenities were good, and the hotel's proximity to the Nile River was a plus. Conveniently located within walking distance of both local and Western restaurants. I had a partial view of the Nile River from my room balcony.

Need new management and staff. Need to update the rooms. It’s an old 2 star hotel

This hotel is great for the price. Breakfast is included, my room had a small balcony. The shower was nice. Location was central and also not far from the airport. Check -in was easy and quick. They have a big lounge in the lobby. The back area has a great view of the Nile River. They give you a free liter of water each day. The breakfast isn’t amazing but it was good enough. I think the housekeeping is used to walking in so just double lock the door when you are In the room and don’t want house keeping duties. Overall no complaints !

The location is at the city center which is great. Love that the hotel is by the Nile River and the pool right inside the Nile! Recommend to enjoy watching sunset from the hotel terrace overlooking the pool and the Nile. Room is clean and comfy. The only thing that I wouldn’t give this hotel a pass is the toilet amenities. Apart from shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner, there is nothing provided. Our luggages didn’t come when we arrive in Luxor at late night and that’s a big problem for us. Overall is still a good hotel in Luxor.
