Cabo Surf Hotel

I rarely feel compelled to write reviews and I have been in six different hotels over the last eight weeks traveling again like pre-Covid, but this hotel always leaves me wanting to come back for more. The staff at the hotel led by Carolina, the food at seven seas restaurant on site, the spa and massages, the swimmable beach and surf along with the pool make this my go to spot for a taste of what I think Mexico is best at. I was there last week for five nights, and hardly left the property except to go to the art walk in San Jose and while I was there booked rooms for the week before Christmas so I could have my kids and my girlfriends kids see what it is that I love so much about the place. It also helps that it’s close in from the airport and I refuse to stay near downtown Cabo. I’m not sure what else to say except that this is such a value, I hope they don’t realize what a value it is, and it keeps producing like it does! Highly recommend it!

I have always loved dining at this hotel while in Cabo and decided to stay there for a night this trip. They placed me in a room overlooking the parking lot. The shower was only cold water and, even after I let management know, remained that way with no change or other accommodations. The room had a wall AC unit that would not adjust or blow cool air. I called the front desk on the middle of the night to help resolve and no one answered. This is a beautiful hotel right on the beach, but the service and accommodations left much to be desired. I won’t be back.

This hotel is a gem, and one of the most relaxing places I’ve ever been to in my life. The rooms are to die for and the location is beyond words beautiful and you can walk everywhere on the beach and it’s just magical. I would recommend this hotel for couples and anyone anyone just needing to get away and relax.

Cabo Surf Hotel is a beautiful, small, well-maintained and superbly staffed destination with excellent beach, pool and dining venues. The rooms are modern, appropriately appointed and many have 180 degree ocean views. The 7 Seas restaurant and its staff delivered wonderful food and drink. Our four night stay for a nephew's wedding celebrations was outstanding. The three main events--wedding on the beach, reception on the lawn, and a next day BBQ at the pool were well staffed. Many compliments by those in attendance. Did not hear a single complaint from any of the others who attended the wedding celebrations. Highly recommended

We did a buyout of the hotel for our wedding weekend, which was awesome. Cabo Surf is truly a hidden gem, and being able to have all of our friends and family stay there was epic. The staff is incredibly kind and attentive, the food at 7seas is beyond delicious, housekeeping does a wonderful job, great views, and great beach access/surfing. We will 100% be back, because the staff really blew us away with their hospitality. We did not have our actual wedding there (just the rehearsal dinner). The wait/bar staff were awesome, and it was a fantastic event - our one recommendation would be to use an outside planner. Makes vendor coordination and all the details come together much smoother!

Manuel and Lety remember our family year after year at Cabo Surf Hotel! They take good care of our family's food service when at the beach and/or pool. They are lovely, professional and personable! They work well as a team too! We look forward to seeing them again next year!

The event manager treats the local people who come to the beach very badly. Every weekend there are weddings taking away space from families who want to use the beach and be able to surf. Since it is a very small beach, they make visitors take away and then they do not want to give us service.

My husband and I stayed at the Cabo Surf Hotel for five nights in January 2024. We booked the Elite Executive King.  It is located on the top floor and hotel staff assist with carrying luggage up and down the stairs. The view from this room is excellent - direct ocean front without obstructions. There is an outdoor jacuzzi below it. The balcony is narrow and designed to be stood on only - see photos on the hotel website for this particular room. However, there is a nice table for two and a small sofa that provide an excellent ocean view. This room is smaller and tight with all of the furnishings. However, it’s nicely furnished, but lacks sufficient drawer space. The bathroom is a decent size and includes a walk in shower with rain head (no tub) and two sinks on a long vanity. The grounds are immaculate with two pool areas on both sides of the hotel. The beach is well kept and the staff are very attentive providing beach chairs, umbrellas, and towels. The restaurant wait staff are efficient bringing orders down to the beach. Given that we stayed in January, the hotel was quiet overall, except on our last two days on Thurs/Fri when additional guests arrived for a wedding that weekend - the vibe changed from peaceful to busy and loud with younger guests hanging at the main pool, beach, and restaurant. This is a popular wedding venue, so check with staff prior to booking. The restaurant staff went above and beyond - we dined there each day and they knew our favorites having everything in place upon arrival each time we went there. Housekeeping did a wonderful job cleaning the room. The front desk staff were friendly and professional. We very much enjoyed our time there and plan to stay again!
