Aysgarth Falls Hotel & Restaurant

Great to return to this lovely hotel, we had a nightmare journey and missed our table booked for 7pm for dinner. However on arriving at just before 10pm, long after the kitchen closed we were offered a choice of a cheese board or sandwiches. Our room was great with both a bath and a large walk-in shower. We stayed on the next day and had an excellent lunch. Well worth a visit.

Stayed for 1 night whilst travelling around. Lovely hotel and room was cosy and despite being on a main road was very quiet. Comfy bed with roll top bath in the room and walk in shower in the bathroom. Had diner in the Palmer restaurant which was nicely presented and tasty. Breakfast was also of the same standard. Would definitely look to book again and perhaps stay a little longer as ideal for local walks or local exploring.

Wow! What a great Hotel with amazing staff…….from front of house through to the kitchen team. We could not have been looked after any better than we were and nothing was too much trouble……as it was our Anniversary they had even upgraded us to a suite! Restaurant is a treat with something for everyone, and the wine list covers most bases (I say that as someone with 30 years Wine trade experience). We will be staying again! Many thanks!

Just had a fabulous two night break here, from the minute we arrived right until departure. Me, my wife and our son in Masham suite, my mother in law in Bedale. Arrived and greeted by a very friendly young man. Unfortunately, we didn't get his name at the time, and he wasn't there when we left, but may have been Jay??? He heard me mention my sons name, coincidentally also his brothers name. My son loved it when staff called him by his name, likely the result of Jay either being heard to greet him or having told others. We have stayed in some beautiful hotels with thousands of rooms, but the Aysgarth Falls Hotel has the friendliest staff I have seen anywhere. The professionalism of all the staff who we had the pleasure to meet was also second to none. If you walk around the hotel as they do on the Four in a Bed, TV programme, you will find minor faults, but why would you go looking for them? Very good room, comfortable beds, food was great, and that water pressure in the shower was amazing. We will 100% be returning here and will be recommending the hotel and restaurant to all our friends.

We just spent one night at Aysgarth falls hotel and were very impressed with our stay. The room was spacious with a large comfortable bed and lovely bathroom. The food and service were excellent. We will certainly stay again. Very convenient when walking the Herriot Way.

A beautiful hotel! Immaculate, slept well, evening meal was amazing and staff were so friendly and helpful definitely revisit one day. Only one thing that slightly disappointed us was the breakfast. Had to make own toast and coffee / toast took forever to do. Breakfast wasn’t well cooked enough such a shame.

We stayed for one night after a day walking the falls and local area. Lovely warm welcome from Martin. We stayed in Downholme on the top floor at the front. A beautiful refurbished room with on suite. The hotel was lovely, comfortable and welcoming. We had a lovely dinner in the evening in the restaurant at the hotel, where we had breakfast the next morning. The only negative for me was the continental breakfast section hadn’t been replenished by the time we went down at 9 and my poached eggs were hard on my Eggs Benedict, but this was quickly rectified with two fresh ones! Highly recommended.

An overnight visit for my wife’s birthday, and the staff really looked after us. Some really nice touches to mark her birthday made it special. Thank you! We enjoyed a lovely meal, and a game of pool(!) Within walking distance of Aysgarth Falls.

The Aysgarth Falls Hotel is the perfect place to stay the room was first class and spotlessly clean And the food was brilliant and last but not least the staff were all outstanding they couldn’t do enough for us we will definitely be back And the location is ideal for exploring the dales
