Le Domaine de l'Hostellerie

Absolutely beautiful place to stay and relax. Calm and quiet in the countryside. Service and food at the hotel is excellent. Highly recommended if you want to escape from the city noise and hustle.

A superb hotel, everything was perfect, vast range of local food for breakfast, close to many local attractions and a thoroughly relaxing place to stay. Lise and Giles were lovely and able to offer advice and a warm welcome, we will definitely head back in the future! We were fortunate with the weather for October and able to enjoy the quiet surroundings, and the heated pool! Our children loved the authentic nature of the hotel. A very genuine, interesting and sympathetic restoration.

Stayed for 3 nights in le cottage.....booked for 2 adults and 2 children with breakfast included.. arrived from canada- exhausted with time change and driving in Paris traffic... was greeted by the husband.. was lovely.. kind and welcoming..toured the cottage and property.. amazing.. got into the cottage and asked 'when was breakfast?'.. he proceeded to say ' was not included and would have to pay,.. I pulled out my hardcopy reservation and showed him, my copy, it was paid through bookings/priceline... he looked at it and said... 'he deals with airbnb', showed me the airbnb listing.... I was a little confused- as I paid through another 3rd party, bookings/priceline confirmed everything and transfer of my reservation.. and said his english was not good.. .. I was tired at this point and only paid for the breakfast through bookings/priceline for my children.. I gave him the hardcopy reservation and said he would look into this... I was really sad about the situation and there is no stores,food,market to walk too and pretty much made to buy again at le domaine... I did not want to get upset and my husband got back in his car and went to find a store....FYI.. grocery stores close at 8pm... and we arrived at 730pm... (we really don't know the area-scrambled to find something for the kids -food for the morning) The next morning, saw other guests walking into the main building for breakfast... .. We had paid a premium for le cottage and breakfast... my husband and I don't eat breakfast... just for our children I did not want to give this place a 3star and lower the rating of a small business as I support small business and building success the grounds,pool,room was lovely... lovely! As I gave the owner the hardcopy confirmation-when I check-in... for him to 'look into'....he did not..heard nothing back and pretty much when I checked out... paid my VAT tax and the bottle of wine we bought from them.. and did not get a 'sorry', refund for the paid breakfasts or an explaination

Absolutely wonderful, highly recommend. The host's are fantastic and cannot do enough for you. Total piece & quiet. Central for all the WW11 sites, Bayeux is a must, the Cathedral is out of this world. There is an Electric Car Charger 5mins from the property, which was useful for me!

Amazing, rooms decorated to a very high standard, very clean, got great nights sleep. Swimming pool was perfect, the accommodation as a whole was very pretty, clean, peaceful and had everything you need. Platters available where reasonably priced and had a good selection. Breakfast perfect, good choice of options. Hosts are friendly and were always on hand if you needed anything. Would definitely come back

An incredible place to stay, set in a French manor house surrounded by pastures and wheatfields. The suites are modern, clean, and comfortable set within the rustic buildings. The hosts were friendly and accommodating, giving in depth recommendations to see the surrounding area. Breakfast was very good, and hosts will also prepare other meals throughout the day if you desire. Overall a great stay, and would travel to Normandy again just to stay here.

Excellent accueil, les hôtes sont particulièrement bienveillants et à l’écoute. Très bel endroit rempli de charme, décoré avec goût . Excellente literie. Petit déjeuner avec de très bons produits maison (confitures)) Je recommande , nous reviendrons.

Nous avons été reçus comme à la maison. Le village est magnifique et que dire du domaine, chargé d’histoire. D’ailleurs, il a accueilli les canadiens lors du débarquement ! Et le gîte est magnifiquement placé proche des lieux d’intérêt de la seconde guerre mondiale/débarquement. Les nuits sont très reposantes, la décoration soignée, et les propriétaires agrémentent le tout avec des produits locaux (nourriture, linge de lit et produits de toilette). Je recommande 100000x pour un séjour qu’il soit en couple ou en famille comme seul ou entre amis. Mention spéciale pour le magnifique Golden dans le jardin 😁
