Sunrise Suites

The Hotel location is not as central, but still not too far from the city buzz (20mins by bus) and the central train/bus station (10-15mins walking distance). The service was fantastic and they clean the room and put new sheets and towels every single day! Shower is huge and there’s a hard, so stock up on bath salts to relax after long touristy days. ☺️

離京都的市中心有一定距離。雖然附近交通挺方便的，但是京都的公交車還是挺貴的，要做好規劃。附近可以吃飯的地方不多。房間裏的大浴缸非常推薦！

Hübsches, geräumiges Zimmer, Schiebetüren, Küche und Waschmaschine im Zimmer. Zen-artige Einrichtung und freundliches Personal. Nur wenige Gehminuten vom Bahnhof Tōji, dem Supermarkt nebenan und dem Toji-Tempel direkt gegenüber entfernt.

Wundervolles Hotel, das eine entspannte A**osphäre in der Stadt vermittelt. Sehr schöne traditionelle japanische Frühstücksbox. Obwohl es etwas abseits der Hauptsehenswürdigkeiten liegt, liegt es günstig an einigen Buslinien, sodass wir letztendlich alle Orte, die wir besuchen wollten, leicht erreichen können. Das Personal war äußerst freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen und würden wiederkommen, wenn wir in Kyoto sind

Wir haben den Aufenthalt im Sunrise Suites absolut genossen! Es ist ein hübsches kleines Hotel direkt an einer Hauptstraße, wodurch viele Verkehrsmittel gut zu Fuß erreichbar sind. Das Personal war fantastisch – äußerst freundlich, sehr hilfsbereit und hat den Aufenthalt noch schöner gemacht! Der einzige Grund, warum wir diesem Ort in der Gesamtbewertung 4/5 gegeben haben, war aus zwei Gründen: 1. Das Frühstück kam jeden Morgen kalt zu uns. Es war immer pünktlich und insgesamt eine gute Auswahl – warm hätte es einfach besser geschmeckt! 2. Das Zimmer hatte einen seltsamen Geruch, der offenbar von der Waschmaschine/Trockner-Kombination kam. Zugegeben, allein die Kombination aus Waschmaschine und Trockner im Zimmer reichte aus, um es zu übersehen. Aber wenn das behoben würde, würde es diesen Ort noch besser machen, als er ohnehin schon ist!

Ich war hier, um mir das Gion-Festival anzusehen. Ich war vor 4 Jahren zum Sightseeing in Kyoto und es war sehr praktisch für Sightseeing, da es nur wenige Gehminuten vom Bahnhof Kyoto entfernt und in der Nähe der Bushaltestelle (Kujo Omiya) liegt. Es war eine ruhige Lage vor dem Toji-Tempel. Vor mir befand sich ein Supermarkt (Ministop), sodass ich problemlos Kaffee und Süßigkeiten bekommen konnte. Zum Frühstück kann man aus 4 Arten von Lunchboxen wählen, und mein Mann und ich hatten separate Lunchboxen. Auch das Niwa Beef Bento und das Kyoto Gomoku Bento (Huhn und Fisch) waren köstlich. Auch die Rezeptionistin war freundlich, höflich und komfortabel. Das Zimmer war sauber und es gab eine Waschmaschine und eine Küchenzeile, also werde ich das nächste Mal länger bleiben und mich gerne darum kümmern. Vielen Dank.　

We stayed at this hotel for one night during our holiday to Japan, regrettably, we couldn't extend due to the nature/locations of our trip - if possible we would have stayed longer. Check-In and features: Check-In was a stress-free experience, we arrived at the hotel later in the night after stopping in Kyoto to view some of the amazing gardens on display, on arrival the staff was friendly and helpful with any questions we had; they explained the nature of the hotel and its perks such as a top floor view of the To-ji Gojunoto Five Storey Pagoda across the street (we recommend seeing this at night for a great sight), a koi pond next to the entrance outside, and a garden in the middle of the lobby area as well as much more features that made this place different from anywhere else we've ever stopped! The staff also spoke great English which made us feel comfortable as our Japanese if still in learning. The Room: I was really impressed with everything the room had to offer - first of all you are given an actual key to enter the room which makes a nice change from most other places offering a keycard. On entering the room; everything was neat and in order, we were given: A comfy bed kitchen area with cooking utensils (on use were great) Table and two chairs to eat meals at Personal washing/drying machine A relaxing bathroom Service room with free amenities such as toothbrushes and a hairbrush A TV with language-specific channels (made us feel more at home) Sliding window blinds (in a traditional Japanese style) Many more features! This hotel brought my dream of stopping at a traditional-style Japanese accommodation to life in every way. Another thing I would like to mention is the breakfast; you are able to choose what time you would like breakfast and are offered a set menu from which to select. I tried the beef breakfast and was very satisfied with the meal. I was more so impressed with the hotel staff who brought it to us, on noticing I was English, the staff member provided me with a sheet of English literature regarding the local gardens with help and recommendations for us, on top of this the member of staff was incredibly respectful and took the time to speak to me about our holiday and events happening back in the UK. (I didn't get the name of this staff member but I can't begin to describe the positive impact he made on our stay) Location: We were more than happy with the location of this stay, all-purpose shops nearby as well as entertainment shops made sure we had anything we wanted/needed - we also took in a lot of culture in and around the hotel which made our stay more authentic. I could not think of anything that this place could improve on - and when we eventually return given the chance, we hope to find Sunrise Suites the same! Thank you for making our journey in Kyoto one of the best experiences we will ever have.

An excellent and relaxing place to have as a base for exploring Kyoto. The staff was very helpful with us as non-Japanese speaking tourists. I highly recommended.

This is an excellent place to stay near Kyoto. It's right across from the Toji temple and about 15 min walk from Kyoto station. Our room was decorated in a modern interpretation of Japanese style with elegant features and a lot of beautiful wood. Kitchen and bathroom had full set of amenities, including a stove top, refrigerator and a washer/dryer. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Included breakfast options were delicious.
