Fort House

Beautiful sea side Hotel. Very homely & relaxing. We had requested for a triple occupancy room & there was enough space for a 3rd bed. Spent 2 nights at Fort House. Delicious breakfast and food. The hotel is close to Chinese Fishing Nets, Jew Town & the Kathakali Dance places.

Fort House is a fantastic place. The terrace at the channel towards and partly facing the port is one of the best places to be in Cochi Cosy rooms, offering everything one needs, a pleasant garden, friendly staff and tasty food. Well located, nevertheless quiet.

We spent 8 happy days at this little gem of a hotel in early March 2024. The lush grounds, family atmosphere and fine restaurant made for a pleasant stay. The restaurant draws diners from outside the hotel with fine food and closeup harbor view. The atmosphere is quiet and green, the accommodations are clean and simple. The front desk arranged tours of fishing villages and backwater sites. We checked in on my birthday and it was an excellent present.

The overall environment is beautiful and the food was amazing but bed was very hard and there was a huge amount of ambient noise. No Tv and Room had open brickwork in bathroom which let in the sound…was woken at 5am by mosque opposite.

Beautiful hotel and wonderful staff. The patio is like an oasis with lots of green and beautiful sculptures, the rooms have air conditioning and are super clean and confortable. Nisha at the front desk is so kind and will help you organise transportation to and from the airport or if you decide to leave Cochin and explore other parts of the region. A huge thanks to my drivers Venu and Sibi who were so accomodating and respectful. I really enjoyed my trip to and from Munnar with them. You can have ayurvedic massages at the spa, they are soooo good ! The restaurant is beautiful and the food is really tasty (you can have food that is actually not hot). Thanks to all the staff and specially to Sunny who was so kind to me. You are all amazing !!!! I will definitely come back to this hotel !!!

Fabulous location on the water with comfortable rooms and great outdoor dining. Breakfast ranges from traditional to south indian cuisine. Staff a friendly and extremely helpful. An oasis in a busy spot. Easy access to the local ferry.

We had four days of treatment at Fort House Hotel, renting a hotel nearby and coming for three hours of therapy every day. It was a good one, and you could feel the difference in your body from the first time you tried it. We came to try their treatment because I had read so much about it. Very knowledgeable about Ayurveda and other therapies. We had a whole body deep tissue massage and a Kiri herbal treatment with hot oil. To the lovely staff and the lovely setting, The decorations are very calming and relaxing. Also recommend trying the lunch Very, Very, Very tasty food, especially the coconut rice Compared to other Ayurveda clinics, the price is relatively high, but the quality and cleanliness of the facility make it worthwhile. A minor point. Bring your towel and shampoo if you want to bathe following the treatment. From the get go since I booked my stay, the staff were super helpful. I had a slight issue with my booking dates on hotel.com so when I called the hotel, Nisha resolved it instantly. I had a ton of logistical questions for organising sightseeing etc. she was patient and kind and super helpful with those too. On arrival as well, the rest of the staff were also so very hospitable. The room was fab! The location and views are fab! My mom and I loved it!
