Castle Khandela A Heritage Castle

I returned to Castle Khandela after a few years gap. It still offers the same cosy a**osphere around a square central green space but some areas need a revamp: garden chairs cushions old and bit dirty, same old hard mattresses on beds which were supposed to be changed, bathroom miroir so high I couldn't see the top of my head ...and please replace the tiny shampoo,lotion, shower gel bottles for refillable decent size ones as suggested years ago... They have added a swimming pool which is a bonus. The restaurant is lovely and spacious and offers delicious food. Staff very polite and helpful. A pleasant stay but needs updating.

Takes you back in time. Exceptional hospitality , cleanliness and food 👍🏻 A great escape from the city noise and pollution.it was really peaceful . Beds were clean . Really enjoyed their bawri food session and the jungle ride . You may see leopards too if luck.

A Royal Rajasthani Treat . Situated in a rustic small Rajasthani village called Khandela , this Haveli has all the ingredients you need for excellent holiday. Excellent service, Excellent food, excellent staff, comfortable rooms Decorated with antique stuff. One must try their Safari to dam and their personal beautiful old Time Bawli.

Pros -＞ Castle interior is beautiful. Rooms were clean . Staff was polite. Some good locations inside castle to take pics. Cons-＞ Location of the hotel is poor, It is located behind the market of khandela, Very narrow and crowded streets . To reach the hotel, you have to leave the main highway and travel through very bad condioned local roads. Food choices are limited and expensive . For the breakfast you will have choice of only one or 2 things. No buffet system . For lunch also you will only have choice of tawa roti or rice . No other option than typical home like food. In our case air condition was not working properly, We tried 2 rooms, same situation in both.

Situated in rusted town of Khandela this was a resident of Khandela rulers for about 500 years .It was renovated and restored by Dr Raisal Singh, a direct descendant of Khandela rulers . Bult in traditional Rajasthani style the castle has a small garden around which the whole hotel evolves . There are eighteen rooms , each in a different style having all basic necessities. The dining room provides the traditional and regional cuisine. The staff ***aged by Mr Surendra Singh is very helpful and courteous. They all go out of the to make you comfortable . Dr Raisal Singh also runs a free hospital adjacent to the hotel . But he ***ages to take time out in between in be there to attend to the guests personally and make them comfortable. The place feels like a home .

Stayed in this beautiful property while on religious tour to Salaskar Balaji and khatu shyamji for one night. Hotel is actually a palace converted to its present form . Interestingly, it still preserve and display heritage items which were amazing. Breakfast and dinner were served on table , the taste of items were excellent. Service was good. WiFi is available. Mr Saini was always available to explain the Rajasthani tradition in detail. As we were two families having 6 members, bona-fire was arranged . Overall excellent stay. Going in group will be advantageous.

Un fort char***t dans une belle région Au milieu d'une petite ville authentique, avec une vue magnifique à 360° sur les environs, Castel Khandela a été notre premier coup de foudre de notre parcourt. Un vieux palais à moitié décrépi et à moitié entretenu avec un vrai charme. L'accueil est chaleureux, avec colliers de fleurs, welcome drink et sourire. On se sent accueillis avec plaisir. Ce n'est pas que du business. Les parties réservées aux clients sont en bon état, les chambres sont belles et confortables. Spacieuses et propres elles offrent un coin salon, un bureau, une pièce avec armoire, une coiffeuse et un porte bagage. Climatisation et ventilateur. Deux bouteilles d'eau, bouilloire, thé et café à disposition. Le linge est propre. La salle de bain est correcte et fonctionnelle, sans trace de moisissure. Cosmetiques de courtoisie Les meubles sont anciens, en bon état. La décoration est sobre. Le jardin est agréable avec un petit rayon de soleil. Le diner de différents plats locaux pas trop épicés et le petit déjeuner copieux sont prix dans la salle de restaurant à l'étage. Très belle vue sur la ville du toit du palais C'est un des rares hôtels que nous avons rencontrés où les personnes qui portent les bagages n'attendent pas plantés dans la chambre qu'on leur donne un pourboire. Il y a des choses à voir dans les environ: les petites rues commerçantes autour du fort, la vallée de Lohargal avec son Baori et ses temples. Le surprenant Surya Tempe (temple du soleil) et ses nombreux pèlerins. Le le temple Shakambhari Mata ***dir, et l'ashram Muni. Les villages des environs qui sont autant d'expériences authentiques.

mon coup de cœur sur mon voyage au Rajasthan. placé dans la ville dans laquelle on peut apprécier la gentillesse des gens, ou on n'est pas harcelés par les vendeurs de rue, ou on vous vend une écharpe au prix local. personnel au top, sympathique, souriant, de bon conseil. dans une chambre magnifique ou l'on trouve des objets de collections... une piscine propre avec des bains de soleil à disposition un restaurant ou on s'est régalés de nourriture indienne (not too spicee) un jardin ombragé au centre

Bellissima struttura antica almeno 300 anni… camere pulite e clima molto sereno… Personale eccezionale, pulizia del ristorante eccezionale (tovaglie, piatti, posate compresi) e qualità del cibo davvero sopra la norma in India… ci siamo trovati benissimo e ci torneremmo volentieri… Khandela è un paese davvero molto ospitale ed è un bellissimo esempio della vita reale in India…l’hotel ci ha messo a disposizione un ragazzo gentilissimo che ci ha accompagnati a visitare il paese e abbiamo concordato un tour su un carretto trainato da un dromedario per visitare un tempio antichissimo e la tenuta di famiglia del proprietario dell’hotel (discendente del Re di Khandela)
