Wir waren Ende September Anfang Oktober für 14 Tage im Althea Boutique Hotel . Wir waren im Apartment Plori untergebracht, durch die Lage des Zimmers hatten wir so einen wundervollen Blick über die Ammopi Bucht . Das Zimmer war Super eingerichtet und hat einen dazu eingeladen länger dort zu verweilen.(Ein sehr schöner Mediterraner Stil) Es war alles vorhanden was benötigt wurde,angefangen von den flauschigen Handtüchern div Pflegeprodukte,bis hin zu einer voll ausgestatteten Küchenzeile in der alles vorhanden war. Die guten Geister des Hotels haben immer dafür gesorgt, dass das Zimmer sauber und aufgeräumt war.(Vielen Dank dafür) Wir hatten mit Frühstück gebucht . Es gab jeden Morgen eine andere Leckerei, so dass man garnicht aufhören konnte zu Essen. Wie sagt man so schön „das Auge isst mit“. Und auf diesem Weg nochmals vielen Dank an Maria und ihrem Team. Auch die Tips die wir von Maria erhalten haben,waren sehr hilfreich. Alles in allem können wir sagen das sich ein Aufenthalt im Althea Boutique Hotel auf jeden Fall lohnt.😊

Eine wunderbare Erfahrung sich im Urlaub so zu Hause zu fühlen und in familiärer Atmosphäre so herzlich und umfassend betreut zu werden. Maria ist die geborene Gastgeberin, die ihr Haus mit Gelassenheit und viel Liebe für Edles und Schönes führt. Das schätzen auch die Gäste, die ein ruhiges und geschmackvolles Ambiente lieben. Die Lage am Hang mit wunderbarem Ausblick, die Studios mit sehr geschmackvoller Einrichtung, die Küche gut ausgestattet, das Frühstück auf der Bar-Terrasse jeden Tag ein schönes Erlebnis..... eigentlich möchte man nicht mehr weg und das Wiederkommen fällt nicht schwer.

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Urlaub im Althea Boutique Hotel.. tolles Apartment, alles vorhanden was man braucht, sogar einige Goodies wie Marmelade, Wasser, Orangensaft etc. Die Küche ist super ausgestattet. Alles sehr sauber, tägliche Reinigung. Wunderschöne Terrasse mit tollem Ausblick. Maria ist extrem freundlich und bemüht, kümmert sich sehr um die Gäste. Man kann Frühstück dazu buchen und dies auf der tollen Frühstücksterrasse einnehmen oder dort einen Cafe oder Cocktail trinken. Die gesamte Anlage ist liebevoll gestaltet und sehr gepflegt. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder!

Wir bedanken uns bei Maria und ihrem Team für eine wunderschöne Woche, voller Gastfreundschaft und charmanter Betreuung. Als unser Flug verschoben wurde, konnten wir ohne viel Aufsehens unser Zimmer einen Tag länger benutzen - und eine weitere erholsame Nacht im Althea verbringen. Wir kommen definitiv wieder ...

We (a couple around 75) have stayed here for one week at the end of may 2023. The hotel is phantastigue. Each room is individuallY decorated and its very spacious. Maria is a great host and she cares about you like a mother. Also she is the soul of the business. In each room you will have a phantastic view over Ammoopi bay. 300 m to the beach. Breakfast is a dream and every day comes a new suprise. We highly recommend this place and the lovely people. I am handicapped and Maria did her best. She cared for a special stool for bathroom and gave us a barrierfree room. Thank you for that!

I agree with all the praise that other reviewers have offered. I will just mention a few things that others seem not to have mentioned. First, visitors should pay attention to the interesting collections throughout the property. At least in the main house there is a gate-and-door theme that Maria has deliberately curated. The walls are adorned with antique gates and doors and with artworks reproducing gates and doors or depicting gates and doors. Also there are many antique tools and farm implements placed around the property, such as antique threshers made of wood and sharp stones and an antique loom. Second, Amoopi has many good places to eat. A short walk from Althea is Demetrios‘ Fish Taverna, and bit further away are the Four Seasons and Esperida. Third, there are big, marked parking spaces immediately off the road (so no driving on narrow dirt roads, as at many places on the islands). Fourth, the air conditioner in our room worked very well and was very quiet. My wife and I have stayed in many hotels on Greek islands over the past twenty years. This one is one of the very best and the only one we have come back to.

Althea is the place to be!!! All is perfect and the breakfast is a five stars. We recommend this hotel for the hospitality of the staff , position and view . Surely we will back at Althea for the next vacation in Karpathos. If you are looking for a Quiet place , pls go there.

We spent 2 weeks at the hotel and it was an amazing experience. A really beautiful boutique hotel. The owner Maria is the best at her job, very welcoming, friendly and always willing to advise you on the best of the island. The overall service was very good and Maria's family did a great job making everything very comfortable. The room was spacious, elegant and modernly decorated, with a large balcony with a wonderful view of the sea. The breakfast, although not a buffet, was very rich and tasty, prepared at that time with very pure local ingredients. It is very important that the hotel is very clean and the room was cleaned every day, which helps you to relax and enjoy your vacation. We really enjoy our stay at this hotel.

This is a perfect hotel for people like me and my wife who want to spend a quiet and relaxed vacation. First of all it is beautiful. Maria, the owner and manager, is an artist and the whole place's design reflects it. The rooms are large (45 sq. meter), very well equipped and comfortable. Everything is clean . The beds are big and soft, The shower provides hot water 24 hours a day. All the rooms face the sea and have large balconies where you can seat and relax watching the beautiful landscape and sipping a drink. There is an absolute feeling of privacy even though at the time there were many other guests. Breakfast is excellent, rich and different every day. Maria is also an outstanding advisor as for things to do and places to visit in Karpathos. The closest beach, which is sandy and good for swimming, is at 150 m' distance. It can be easily reached by foot or car driving. There you can find a few nice taverns and an axcellent cocktail bar (Pebble bar) which offers good music including live performances every friday.
