Im Rahmen unserer Rundreise wurden wir in dieses hochgelegene Hotel eingebucht. Wir hatten ein sehr großes Zimmer im obersten Stock. Das Zimmer war sauber. Das Buffet zum Frühstück und Abendessen war vielfältig. Punktabzug gibt es für die etwas unkoordinierten Kellner beim Abendessen, die etwas Zeit mit der Zuweisung des Tisches und dem Getränke bringen brauchten.

Verbrachte hier zwei Nächte Ende Mai 2022 während einer 2-wöchigen Sri Lanka Rundreise. Von dem Hotel hat man eine herrliche Aussicht auf die gesamte Region. Fenster sollten zu bleiben, sonst könnten Affen zu Besuch kommen - das steht an den Fenstern. Das Zimmer war gross, komfortabel und sehr sauber. Frühstück (Buffet) war exzellent und sehr reichhaltig. Das Personal war extrem freundlich und zuvorkommend. Ich wünsche dem Hotel ganz viel Erfolg und bedanke mich für den super Service.

Very inefficient front desk staff, request for iron box and many hours waited but was not sent. Wild boar at hotel area almost cause harm to my family. The lobby area too noisy by customer but the hotel staff could not reprimand them. Unfriendly dinning area staff who very rude taking our plates while we are having buffet dinner. Nice facilities and environment but the whole team doesn't have heart too perform.

Had a much too short stay at this hotel. We were greeted with a cold drink and warm smiles. There was a beautiful panoramic view and a very nice room. Staff were friendly and helpful. Buffet dinner and breakfast were very good with lots of choices of both local and western-style food. Service at reception and the dining room was excellent.

Very nice middle-class and middle-size hotel on a hill in Kandy. Depending on the floor and direction of your room, you´ve a wonderful overview on the city of Kandy or on the surrounding hills. Hotel´s restaurant and staff are quite ok - with a mixture of local food and typical tourist buffet. The pool´s very nice. Unfortunately the hotel is not completely accessible.

An amazing hotel room, suite I should say. Fantastic all round views, amazing. Lovely hill top location. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. The room was just fantastic, huge, comfy bed and pillows, like an apartment. The food in the restaurant was first class, the ambience was really nice. The bar area was comfy and relaxing, the staff here are so friendly, made us feel very welcome. Loved it.

After a couple of very second rate hotels (pre-booked by Tour Agent) I was delighted to arrive at Topaz Hotel atop the hill in Kandy. The check in staff were polite and covered all the details of my overnight visit over a welcome drink. My room was spacious and clean with a separate sitting area and a panoramic view over the town. The dining room was bustling and the food good quality, service very attentive. The lounge area downstairs looked good but was busy (Friday night) so I didn’t stop. I didn’t use the pool but it looked very inviting. No complaints from me, I enjoyed a clean, roomy space, two good meals, friendly smiles and service with a spectacular view over a charming town.

This hotel is a bit out of town, up a very steep, windy hill, but the views from the room are great. We stayed with a tour group, so arrived late, and left early so did not get to enjoy the facilities, other than the restaurant which had a good range of buffet and ala carte meals. The buffet dinner was 4,500lks per person, Coke 500lks and Wine (glass) 1540lks. The rooms are brightly decorated and modern. There was no iron provided in the room, but a passing steward quickly brought one to us on request.

The hotel is situated high on a hill above Kandy. We stayed for one night whilst on a tour. Our room was large with a separate lounge, with views of Kandy the bathroom was small and dark, there was steps up into the lounge and up into the bathroom and then down into the bathroom, also steps up into the bath and shower, all the steps made middle of the night visits to the toilet tricky. We could hear every word from the guests in the next room as if we were all in the same room. Food at dinner and breakfast was the usual buffet fare was adequate and ok, coffee at breakfast was awful. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. The hotel is tired and basic, more three star than a four it is just about ok for a one night stay.
