Ceu Ceylon

Brillante Lage mit hervorragender Küche und außergewöhnlichem Personal. Nichts, was man nicht mögen könnte! Toller Ausgangspunkt für inspirierende Tagesausflüge. Wir waren für 10 Tage im Ceu Ceylon. Das Hotel, bzw. für uns Familie das Haus, ist absolut atemberaubend. Die Zimmer sind wunderschön und modern, das kann man einfach nicht mögen. Die Betten wirkten hart, waren aber sehr bequem. Der Garten, der Pool, die Terrassen, alles ist atemberaubend und übersteigt unsere Möglichkeiten, ein Bild aufzunehmen. Das Geräusch der Wellen, die an die Küste schlagen, ist faszinierend und lädt zum Entspannen ein. Das Beste an Ceu Ceylon sind jedoch die Besitzer und das Personal. Nichts ist ihnen zu viel, und es ist fast so, als hätten sie einen eingebauten KI-Algorithmus, denn sie scheinen fast immer genau zu wissen, was wir brauchen, bevor wir sie fragen. Wir haben Frühstück und Abendessen gebucht und ich würde jedem raten, das Gleiche zu tun. Die Speisekarte selbst ist großartig, aber man kann um alles bitten, und wenn sie können, werden sie es reparieren. Kasun (der Chefkoch) und sein Team vollbringen wahre Wunder in der Küche, die Ihnen noch lange in Erinnerung an Sri Lanka bleiben werden. Besondere Aufmerksamkeit möchten wir auch Raja schenken, dem süßesten Mann der Welt, der sich immer bemüht, unsere Bedürfnisse so gut wie möglich zu erfüllen, aber nicht ohne Ihnen das wärmste Lächeln zu schenken, das nur möglich ist. Wir wurden von den Eigentümern eingeladen, an der Neujahrszeremonie „Milch kochen“ teilzunehmen, was nicht nur sehr schön war, sondern wir fühlten uns auch geehrt, dabei zu sein. Wir sind sicher, dass jeder Wohlstand, der im Jahr 2023 auf uns zukommt, hier seinen Ursprung findet 😉. Gibt es etwas, was man an Ceu Ceylon nicht mögen kann? Das Einzige, was mir in den Sinn kommt, ist, dass man nie lange genug bleibt!

We stayed at the small boutique hotel for 3 nights, which was the perfect length of time for this quiet area. The hotel garden overlooks a stunning treelined long beach which stretches on for many kilometres and is mostly deserted, where you can hear the roar of the ocean The hotel is spotlessly clean, with anytime dining including breakfast. The rooms are spacious and tastefully furnished and decorated. The team were very gracious at all times and went out of their way to meet our requests for specific food and drinks during our stay

We went to Ceu Ceylon for a family getaway with 3 generations of our family (grandparents, parents, kids) - 7 adults, 4 kids. We booked the entire villa (with access to 4 of the 5 rooms). All in all we had an amazing time. The location was excellent, with a broad beach frontage and a truly pristine beach all to ourselves (Kalametiya beach is very quiet). The pool is the centerpiece and when you are in it, you feel close to the ocean, whilst being right next to those sitting in the verandah. Mayanthi (the owner) was very clear and prompt with her communication - with plentiful information on what to do in the area. 2 highlights were the Kalametiya boat trip (approx Rs.6500 for 4 people) and the late night Rekawa Turtle Safari, which was in season and where we got to respectfully watch giant green turtles laying eggs (Rs.1000 for an international guest, Rs.250 for a local guest). The villa consists of one suite and 4 very similar sized rooms (2 upstairs, 2 on the ground floor). We predominantly used the ground floor - with the living room arranged around a very deep and cosy couch. The suite is very spacious. The other rooms are very comfortable and well sized for a typical double. If you try and make a triple out of a normal room - it would certainly be possible, but wouldn't leave you with much other space. For my infant son there was a very good mothercare travel cot which we were very happy with. We had brought a travel cot with us just in case, but that certainly wasn't needed. One important point to add is that the finishes in the rooms and the bathrooms are to a very high standard, with nothing over the top, with things being muted and tasteful - which we were very happy to both see and enjoy. The meals across breakfast, lunch and dinner were of a good standard. Maybe the one thing that could have improved is the variety of food during lunch - but that was only something we felt on our final day - and it wasn't a big issue. Having taken a peek into the kitchen, you can see that the operation is managed very professionally and the standards are more in keeping with a boutique hotel than a small private villa. As we were a big group, the food could sometimes take a little more time than we anticipated - but that also wasn't an issue, but something to be a little aware of and plan around if having something bang on time is essential for you. The lawns around the villa were fun to play games on with kids - which was an additional treat. Just between the lawn, the beach (we took some beach toys), the pool and some board games (which we took along ourselves), our children had a super time. Last but not least, the staff were tremendously courteous and obliging. Every request was met with a smile and a desire to accommodate. All in all, I would highly recommend Ceu Ceylon. It is a comfortable highway journey away from Colombo / the Airport and for a 3 night stay, it proved to be a lovely getaway.

We arrived on 15th July just after our wedding. We were warmly welcome and received by a lovely girl Tharindi. The villa was gorgeous, clean and fresh The villa was nicely decorated with all luxury HM amenities. Our special thanks for udesh .he made our honeymoon vacation as most memorable experiences in our life. Kindly appreciate his assistance and I felt he is an asset to property. He was very good at upselling and cross selling. My husband celebrated his birthday on 17th. Mr athula and his team have done massive birthday decoration in our villa. Mr athula very friendly and hospitable manager. Food and beverages are extremely great and chefs always comes to table and display all VIP courtesies . Mrs Sayuri also doing great job in terms of responsibility as GRM. The level of responsibility displayed by the staff was unmatched to any other. Finally never forgotten Mr sajith and yomal. They were behind the scenes and did great job in order to make our honeymoon vacation perfect. Please my regards to Mr Steve and Chamith .we had lovely long chat with them. We stayed in Ceu Ceylon 6 pax for 4 days.It was the best hotel near ocean to relax after long pandemic years.The staff are great and always happy to help with a smile to go with it. The pool is fab and so is the well maintained gardens. The view over the lagoon is great and there is many different birds to watch them all day. We asked for dinner with barbeque and they prepared a special evening with seafood at the garden under the stars. The rooms are large with nice view and always cleaned every morning.I highly recommend Ceu Ceylon

10 of us friends booked the whole villa and visited with 4 kids. Since entering through the beautifully kept garden the staff was so pleasant accommodating and so helpful. Proper hospitality! The common area in the villa is so gorgeous and roomy with a lovely pool. An almost private beach for the guests to go to and was so tranquil. Since the first meal, I was looking forward for the next meal cause the food was out of this world! Some of the best food I have ever had hands down and when I went back to Colombo I was wondering if ceu ceylon would deliver meals (wishful thinking) The rooms were large and comfortable and wonderful All in all everyone single one of us had a fantastic time. Thank you Céu Ceylon for being so awesome!

Few of us got together and booked the entire Villa for 2 nights. Oh boy..... Ceu Ceylon is one of the most picturesque places we have gone on holiday. From the time we arrived and until we left...... we were well looked after. Villa / Room / Facilities - Spacious and simply Amazing Staff - Kind and Helpful. Hospitality at its best. Food - Someone please give a medal to that Chef. All made as per our request and so tasty. Food was off the hook. Highly recommend the venue and certainly we will go there again.

CEU's location cannot be beaten....pristine, isolated beach with a small hamlet of fishing villages where one can observe the fisherman going out to sea. Five of us cousins stayed 2 nights. The rooms are an average size with modern and comfortable furnishings. The bungalow is ideal for a family or friends group. The staff were very helpful and the food was good and plentiful...we wanted crab curry, but it was not available :( The location by the lagoon offers a variety of birdlife and if you are a bird watcher this is paradise. I would highly recommend CEU if you are looking for a quiet and relaxing holiday.
