應該屬於家庭旅館?前台蠻友善的，我以為沒配備浴巾呢走下去問告訴我在床上，前台看我一臉茫然又跑去二樓拿了一套給我，房間不大（配備倒是挺齊全的），隔音不太好（走廊的動靜能聽見，不過11點過後住客都比較安靜），有備用暖氣（冬天建議晚上睡覺拿出來用，portree還是有點冷的）還送了茶包咖啡礦泉水還有walker的餅乾 早餐是送的，菜單上的幾個套餐選一個還有額外的自助區（簡單的水果和牛奶飲料和可頌），早餐蠻好吃的。自費了晚餐，青口貝很好吃。 需要自帶:拖鞋，牙刷牙膏，梳子 房間配備:洗髮水沐浴露，燒水壺

立地は最高です。少し施設は古いですが全て清潔に保たれています。しかし少し値段が高いのが欠点だと思います。

Wir haben das Hotel wegen dem abgebildetem Kamin gewählt und sahen uns nach einem Tag wandern dort sitzen. Nur : den Kamin und auch die Lounge gibt es nicht mehr. Schade. Zimmer neu gemacht, alles da was man benötigt. Gutes Frühstück und auch gutes Abendessen. Wenn es das ist was man erwartet, dann bestimmt ok. Wir haben etwas anderes erwartet.

Wie an vielen Orten in Schottland fehlt auch hier ein Lift, das macht aber der Sauberkeit des Hotels keinen abstrich. Auch das Frühstück ist ausgezeichnet und man erhählt hier saftigen Schinken und Käse! vom Buffet. Die Zimmer sind eher etwas klein, aber daran gewöhnt man sich auf einer Schottlandreise. Wir würden das Hotel auch wegen seiner Lage in Portree sofort wieder wählen.

Wir sind 5 Nächte abgestiegen um von hier aus die Isle of Skye zu erkunden. Dafür die perfekte Lage. Parkgelegenheiten gibt es direkt vor der Tür (max. 2h, aber freies Parken von 18:00 bis 8:00 - man kann nach 18:00 ein kostenloses 30 Minuten Ticket ziehen und so entspannt bis 8:30 parken) und etwas 3 Minuten zu Fuß zum Longstay Parkplatz (freies parken von 20:00 bis 8:00). Doppelzimmer war einwandfrei, sehr gutes Bett und sehr sauber. Allerdings zum Marktplatz, direkt über dem hauseigenen Pub gelegen, da kann es am Wochenende nachts recht laut sein. Das Restaurant war jeden Abend ausgebucht - muss man rechtzeitig buchen (haben wir nicht getan - die Karte hatte uns auch nicht angesprochen). Der Pub ist recht lebhaft, prima für einen Absacker. Warum nur drei Punkte? Das Personal war sehr freundlich, aber teilweise recht ungeschult und sehr unpersönlich - da haben wir uns nicht wirklich zu Hause gefühlt. Das kontinentale Frühstück ist mehr als übersichtlich - ein paar Cerials, Kochschinken und langweiliger Scheibenkäse. Teilweise gab es ab 9:00 schon keine Croissants mehr. An einem Morgen wurde bereits alles um 9:15 abgeräumt. Die Auswahl an warmen Speisen und Joghurt war ok. Allerdings war auch hier das Personal nicht immer flexibel, auf Sonderwünsche einzugehen. Unterm Strich würden wir das wieder in Kauf nehmen, weil einfach die Lage überzeugt.

Nettes Team, fühlten uns wohl -Das Bett im Cosy Double ist nur für sehr schmale Menschen geeignet Kein Lift, wie so oft in GB, dh Gepäck muß über Treppen in die oberen Stockwerke getragen werden Es gibt keine Parkplätze, der öffentliche Parkplatz vor dem Hotel ist meist voll, der nächste ein Stück weit weg

Wir waren zwei Nächte im Portree Hotel. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und schön eingerichtet. Direkt bei der Ankunft wurde uns angeboten eine Reservierung im hauseigenen Restaurant für den Abend zu machen, da die wenigen Restaurants am Ort bereits starkt gebucht waren für den Zeitraum unseres Aufenthalts. Dies haben wir wahrgenommen und es hat sich definitiv gelohnt. Auch das Frühstück war sehr umfangreich (man konnte Gerichte wie z. B. Egg Benedict bestellen und zusätzlich gab es ein Frühstücksbuffet. Wenn man öffentlich reist ist das Hotel auch sehr gut gelegen, da der Busbahnhof direkt vor der Tür ist. Alles in allem hatten wir eine sehr schöne Zeit im Portree Hotel.

This is a charming hotel in downtown Portree. It is very convenient to local shops and restaurants. Our breakfast was included (we were part of a tour so not sure if this is standard). It was lovely and had very generous portions. We ate dinner one night--it was fine but I would recommend trying other options ins town. The staff could not be more warm, welcoming, and helpful. The single room was very small -- mine had a view of the roof. The heating was spotty. Bedding was nice. The bathroom was very small (had to close the door to access the toilet). Be aware that there is no lift to the bedrooms and no one to transport luggage.

We stayed two nights at the Portree Hotel. We loved our stay here. The staff were so lovely in the reception and in the restaurant/bar, we felt right at home. Our room was quite small however, we spent most of our time in the bar/restaurant. Food was delicious and breakfast was included which was just as yum. Parking right next to the hotel is free (we were lucky to secure a spot each day) however, in busy season there is paid parking in the square. In a fabulous location. Will be back one day!

Was here on business, room was booked by the company, really glad I wasn't up on holiday. The room was the smallest I've ever seen, single bed, very small wardrobe and a desk, they supply an ironing board but there's no floorspace to put it up. The view of the litter strewn yard was to die for...... The hotel doesn't seem to have a level floor anywhere, and the top corridor smelt musty and of stale cigarettes. No sound insulation either. The heating... At the money they are charging the least they could do is leave it on overnight, I'm capable of turning it down.... The staff were excellent, and dinner was really tasty(though for the price the portions could have been larger)

My husband and I stayed at the Portree Hotel for 2 nights in September as part of a 3 day tour of the Isle of Skye. The location was very convenient as our tour bus (and other tour buses) picked up and dropped off at the square right outside the hotel. It’s also very close to the harbour, many restaurants and shops versus other hotels that are much further from the main part of town. It was a busy week in Portree so we ended up booking one night in a double room and then the second night in two single rooms. I was in contact with the hotel before our trip to try to change these arrangements if possible. They were very friendly and helpful but the availability did not end up changing. But for our second night they helped book our single rooms directly across the hall from one another which was helpful. We were happy with both room types we stayed in. The single rooms are quite small with a single bed and couldn’t accommodate two people, but have all you need for a solo traveller. The double room was more spacious and both styles have a private washroom which isn’t totally clear from the photos, so fyi. The hotel building is older and does not have an elevator so would recommend asking for a lower floor if you have trouble with stairs or have a lot of luggage. This wasn’t an issue for us and we found the look of the hotel to be very charming. We had breakfast at the hotel restaurant both mornings, this was included in our booking. The breakfast was great with some basic buffet options like warm croissants, spreads and juice as well as a menu for made to order dishes like a Scottish breakfast or pancakes and bacon. We ate dinner there one night too and had the fish and chips which were great. Highly recommend booking dinner reservations ASAP whether it’s at the hotel or elsewhere. Portree is a very busy little town and people without dinner reservations were left with very limited options. Literally book your dinner reservations when you book your trip.
