3-Sterne-Hotels in Isla Mujeres

Wir waren begeistert von Selina und haben 7 Nächte in der Suite verbracht, die geräumig und wunderschön war. Ich hätte gerne 5 von 5 Punkten vergeben, aber die Hälfte unseres Aufenthalts mussten wir uns mit DJs herumschlagen, die bis 2 Uhr morgens spielten, und in einer Nacht sogar bis 4 Uhr morgens. Wir fragten nach einem anderen Zimmer, hätten aber die Suite aufgeben müssen. Sie stellen Ohrstöpsel zur Verfügung, aber nichts kann den Lärm oder den Bass ausblenden! Mein Vorschlag wäre, zu bleiben, wenn Sie ein tolles Hostel in einer tollen Lage möchten, aber nach einem Zimmer zu fragen, das weiter weg von der Musik ist, wenn das überhaupt möglich ist.

I just have to say… This hotel far surpassed my expectations! I found such a good price that I was a little hesitant as to what it would be like. However, all I can say is, I was extremely pleased, and will definitely stay here again! The staff is absolutely wonderful… welcoming, friendly and very accommodating! The rooms are large and have a mini fridge and a coffee pot. In the shower there is a shampoo and body wash dispenser. Another nice perk is the free bottled water they supply daily. They also have a hydration station to refill as often as necessary. The location is perfect! Literally a 2 minute walk from the ferry terminal, a 5 minute walk to Playa Centro and 8-10 minute walk to Playa Norte. Directly next-door is a place to rent golf carts if you choose to do so. Keep in mind there is no where to park a golf cart at the hotel. I have read where some guests have complained about the noise, but that was never a problem for us. Yes, you are on a busy street but with the air running in the room, you honestly cannot hear it. Our room even faced the street and it was never an issue. I cannot wait to return to the island and stay here again!

Nutzen Sie unseren zweiten Aufenthalt jetzt und buchen Sie unseren dritten, bevor wir gehen. Nicht ein überbautes modernes, fantastisches Resort. Mehr traditionelle Zimmer mit kleinem Kühlschrank und schönen Fliesen Dusche/Badezimmer und Balkon oder Patio. Die Hauptzimmer sind entlang des Strandes hinter wunderschönen alten Bäumen und Landschaft mit einem Pool verstreut. Die Tower Zimmer sind im weißen Gebäude über die Straße - die Hälfte übersehen die Straße, da sie auf dem Strand leer ist, und bieten gute Seitenblicke auf den Strand. Zimmer auf der anderen Seite des Turms sehen ruhige Landschaft. Gebäude neben Buhos, was wunderbar ist. Preise sind unglaublich jederzeit des Jahres. Service ist konsistent und freundlich, aber erinnern Sie sich - das ist nicht New York, oder sogar Cancun!! Mehr lokale sprechen Spanisch als Englisch, aber jeder Einzelne findet einen Weg, um mit Ihnen zu kommunizieren. Halten Sie Google Translate handvoll auf Ihrem Telefon jederzeit haben Sie eine Anfrage mit etwas Ungewöhnliches oder mehr als ein paar Worte :) Ein wahres verstecktes Geschirr!

We stayed in bldg 3 on the 3rd floor. The room is clean and had a good air conditioner. The beds are very firm and the mini fridge keeps your drinks ice cold. There was always hot water for a nice long shower if you desire. There was not a coffee maker in our room ( we didn’t get a suite) but we went to Chedraui and bought a coffee maker for $28 CND, plus coffee mate and sugar. The housekeeping staff is was good. They cleaned daily but sometimes not until later afternoons. The room smells clean and disinfected when they are done. The food in the restaurant is pretty good. The drinks in the bar are a little light on the alcohol. There are water coolers on the main floor so you can have a cold glass or fill your water bottle before heading out for the day. The pool is not heated but can be very refreshing on a hot day. The toilet seat was broken in our room and we called the front desk and they had a maintenance guy up to our room in about 10 minutes to replace it. Bldg 3 has 110 volt 3 prong plugs. Pretty good Wi-Fi in most parts of the hotel. You can sometimes pick up the Wi-Fi across the street at the beach. There wasn’t a hair dryer in the room. The overall hotel grounds could be better. As far as picking up garbage, skimming the pool more often and just general cleaning and maintenance would be nice. Overall, the grounds are well treed with lots of plants and flowers. If you stay here, you’re staying for the location. Playa Centro is just across the street. The hotel gives you a discount coupon for chair and umbrella rental and offers food and drink delivery. Playa Norte is a couple blocks walk. Hidalgo Ave is a block away which has endless options for food. The bus stops is in front and across the street from the hotel. Have we stayed at nicer hotels? Yes, but we have stayed at worse.

I killed a fly on the wall and the ants ate the fly so it was totally gone in an hour. One advantage of having ants in your room! While sitting at the pool I was crapped on 3 times by birds. Not the resorts fault but still unpleasant. The beds were comfortable and the room was large, plus drinkable bottled water and good free coffee was provided. Other than the nice quiet air-conditioning and great view I only have issues. Everything was dirty even the room floor. When you walk from the shower to the bed your bare feet are already dirty. The room was filled with mosquitoes so you get a lot of bites while you sleep. We used a full can of off bug repellant to survive our stay. Most all the umbrellas were broken so people got up before dawn to reserve their chair and umbrella by putting a towel on the chair. The resort got a few new umbrellas but the old home made holders did not hold them in so on a windy day I got hit very hard on the head. I asked at the desk if I would get any money back if I left early. The answer was ”no” because you did not cancel a week before. There was no interest in finding out if anything was wrong. Some of the staff were pleasant but most were not. The one really good employee was the young man at the pool bar. He was always very helpful setting up chairs etc. I took a picture of some pool side tables that had not been wiped off or cleaned during our stay. Look carefully and the nice table has lots of bird droppings. No one would think of wiping them off. I was amazed to find that many guests are regulars. I just can't imagine why.

Muy cómodo lugar para descansar y a muy buen precio. La habitación es amplia con TV, refrigerador, aire acondicionado. Tiene jacuzzi dentro de cada habitación, lo cual considero muy mal, dado que en la isla hay escasez de agua y un baño en jacuzzi desperdicia cantidades impresionantes de agua. El hotel tiene alberquita, para ir a la playa caminando hay clubs de playa cerca, ya si quieres ir a punta Norte, un taxi te cobra de 100 a 150 pesos. El servicio del hotel es muy bueno, a excepción del señor de la recepción quien siempre te atiende con cara mala. Es recomendable este lugar pues si quieres descansar, esta lejos del bullicio y tráfico del centro de la isla. Relación calidad-precio muy buena.
