Thermenhotels in Tokio

It was our first time staying at Hotel Villa Fontaine Premier Haneda Airport, as we usually stayed at the adjacent Villa Fontaine Hotel. The Premier property definitely feels more upscale and refined. Check-in was smooth and pleasant. Unlike the sister hotel next door, the front desk here is staffed with courteous and attentive personnel. Since we arrived before the official check-in time, we left our luggage with the staff and went shopping. Upon returning, our suitcases—and another one delivered by Yamato Transport—had already been brought up to our room, which was a very nice touch. We stayed in a Deluxe King River View room. It was spacious, with a large and comfortable bed, a generous washroom featuring a deep bathtub, and a long sofa by the window that was perfect for relaxing or having a quick meal. The air conditioning was quiet and efficient, and the overall room design felt modern yet cozy. The wardrobe wasn’t particularly large but sufficient for coats and travel clothes. We didn’t try the breakfast as we had an early flight at 7 AM, but the convenience store downstairs made it easy to pick up yogurt, fruits, and light snacks. Another charming feature was the aroma pouch-making station in the lobby, where guests can choose from several fragrances — it’s a small but thoughtful detail and a lovely souvenir idea. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel’s location couldn’t be more convenient, especially for travellers catching early flights — it took only about 10 minutes to reach our airline’s check-in counter after checking out. The hotel also provides easy access to Tokyo’s major shopping areas like Shibuya and Tokyo Station. We’ll certainly be back on our next visit to Haneda!

It was very unpleasant that duringhte check in I was told that the hotel would be closed for maintenance from the day of my departure so that I could not keep my luggage after the checkout. I wasted good 1 hour looking for coin lockers at the Otemachi station and had to spend 4000 yen to keep my luggage. Das Hotel an sich war absolut in Ordnung und vor allem die Lage ist top. Ich bin bei Regen angekommen und konnte dank des Ausgangs C1A praktisch direkt am Hoteleingang herauskommen – super praktisch. Ich wurde im neueren Gebäudeteil untergebracht. Das Zimmer war sauber, wirkte noch nicht abgewohnt und hatte die übliche Größe, wie ich sie von dieser Hotelkette kenne. Generell habe ich bereits gute Erfahrungen mit der Kette gemacht und mag sie auch weiterhin. Besonders positiv hervorzuheben sind die Mitarbeiter: sehr freundlich, gutes Englisch, die Kommunikation war überhaupt kein Problem. Ein Punkt, den ich etwas schade finde: Innerhalb der Kette scheint es keine einheitliche Regelung bezüglich Tattoos im Onsen zu geben. In einer anderen Filiale in Akasaka durfte ich den Onsen problemlos nutzen, hier in Ikebukuro hingegen nicht. Das wirkt etwas inkonsequent. Was allerdings wirklich störend war: Es gibt nur einen Fahrstuhl für insgesamt 12 Stockwerke. Gerade morgens kann es dadurch zu längeren Wartezeiten kommen – ich habe teilweise bis zu 10 Minuten gewartet, weil der Aufzug zunächst andere Gäste abgeholt hat. Wenn man unter Zeitdruck steht, sollte man das unbedingt einplanen und lieber etwas früher losgehen. Ich war im Zimmer 656 untergebracht. Dort hört man nachmittags Geräusche, vermutlich von Werbung oder Lautsprechern draußen. Nachts war es ruhig, aber für geräuschempfindliche Personen könnte dieses Zimmer weniger geeignet sein. Etwas merkwürdig war außerdem, dass es in meinem Zimmer keinen Mülleimer gab – weder im Bad noch im Wohnbereich. Auf Nachfrage habe ich lediglich Mülltüten bekommen, aber keinen Eimer selbst. Abgesehen davon kann ich das Hotel definitiv empfehlen.

The toilet flushing system gives a very bad smell for days. The room corners and doors actually have a lot of dust on it. Poor cleaner limited time n nan power Hope they can improve on clearing the dust - basin shelf areas, toilet door, near mirror. The 2 pillows are too flat and my neck was in pain for some days in the mornings. But all the rest of service, onsen and night snack made up for it. The breakfast is almost the same every morning - please change the chicken meatball dish, it's not nice. The eel rice was initially ok but after eating for few days, i can't eat for a week. Changed to eat clear porridge better. Wish they can be clear which omelette has mushrooms or not - love the ones with mushrooms. A lady who works night shift came to my room to help me with my rubbish as i didn't need them to come into my room when i was unwell so i put the no cleaning magnet but she went the extra mile beyond cleaning hours to help me throw my rubbish. For the toothbrush n paste set, for those staying for a week, we don't need so many toothbrush but the paste more. But had to take 2-3 sets which is not environmental friendly due to the toothbrushes that come together.

Die Lage des Hotels ist top, man kommt überall bequem hin und hat mehrere Verkehrsanbindungen direkt vor der Tür. Allerdings sind der Pool, der Fitnessraum und das Spa alle extra kostenpflichtig. Wir hatten drei Tage Frühstück gebucht, aber am dritten Tag mussten wir wegen unseres Fluges früh los und konnten nicht frühstücken. Die Rezeption versprach uns ein Lunchpaket, aber wir bekamen stattdessen nur eine Menge Sandwiches und vier Flaschen Wasser. Am Flughafen war das Wasser dann nur noch eine Belastung und wir mussten viel davon verschwenden.

Rein Zimmer, aber nicht sehr geräumig. Onsen war komfortabel und die gelieferten Snacks waren auch gut. Ramen jeden Tag serviert war schmackhaft. Lage ist anständig, etwas weiter vom Bahnhof als ich mit den großen Taschen, die wir hatten, gern. Nahe der Sonnenstadt.

Es war ein kleines, aber wunderschönes Hotel. Sie nehmen Ihre Schuhe am Anfang und gehen ohne Schuhe. In der Nacht haben sie kostenlose Ränder, die lecker war und ihr Frühstück war verrückt gut. Das Hotel ist etwas älter, aber es war sauber. Und alle Einrichtungen und seine Lage machen diesen Ort so wert.

Cleaning is chargeable at 1.5k yen per clean. Otherwise no cleaning whatsoever - but they do give you new towels and a trash bag daily (hung on your door knob). Breakfast is pretty cute and homely - I liked it when I tried it at a different province, so I rebooked dormy inn. They have a luggage scale at level 2, so very convenient if you have been shopping like crazy. The shopping street around the area is pretty interesting, and I love uneo park. However, some pretty strange stuff during my stay: 1. They insisted on entering my room for an ”inspection” but didn't specify why. When I called to ask, they said it was a bedframe inspection. As a solo female traveler my preference is not to let random people into my room, especially if they're not going to clean after these external people enter, but reception said they couldn't wait until my stay was over a few days later. When I came back to the room, my blanket was shifted and untucked entirely from one side, and my electronics were moved around. 2. A bug appeared on my sink mirror, so I gave feedback to the hotel staff as mini bugs means there's more bugs, and suggested that they fumigate. They said ”oh... sorry” suddenly all proceeded to look away from me and pretend I didn't exist, which was super weird treatment, and very rude lol. I didn't even ask them to change my room, the point is that these bugs are likely to have infestations, and if I came back in another trip to this hotel, I would not like to see more. They didn't even bother asking me what floor I was on, so 100% they don't seem to have any intention of dealing with this. Very weird and poor behaviour - I think it was too much to expect Onyado Nono service in Dormy Inn, so I don't think I will come back.

Endlich habe ich dieses super beliebte Hotel mit seinem Open-Air-Thermalbad gebucht! Ich war total begeistert, als ich ankam. Das Design ist sehr japanisch, was man in Shinjuku selten findet. Ich war sofort vom Zimmer im Tatami-Stil angetan, aber es war so groß, dass selbst das Öffnen eines 71 cm langen Reisekoffers etwas mühsam war. Das Thermalbad auf dem Dach war zwar nicht riesig, bot aber dank der offenen Lage einen wunderschönen Panoramablick über Shinjuku. Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder!

Mein Aufenthalt im Super Hotel Ikebukuro North war fantastisch! Obwohl das Hotel nicht groß ist, bietet es auf kleinem Raum wirklich alles, was man braucht. Das größte Plus war das große Gemeinschaftsbad; nach einem langen Shoppingtag war ein Bad unglaublich entspannend und hat alle Müdigkeit sofort vertrieben 🛁. Eine weitere nette Geste war die Möglichkeit, unbenutzte Zahnbürsten und Zahnpasta gegen Kekse einzutauschen – eine schöne und umweltfreundliche Idee. Das Hotel bot außerdem eine Auswahl an Toilettenartikeln. Insgesamt war die Unterkunft komfortabel, der Service aufmerksam, und ich würde definitiv gerne wiederkommen. Absolut empfehlenswert! 👍
