Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Georgetown Lake

-Green to the Extreme- This hotel should have 5 stars as they have excellent breakfast, the facility is renovated and in good shape, parking is free and common areas are well-maintained. My main problem pertains to their "Green" practice, which has been taken to an extreme level. As a "green" hotel, the lights in the room shut off completely after 30 minutes of in-room motion. Working at the desk in my room, I had the lights shut off 5 times while I was trying to work at my desk (very annoying). Secondly, all of the outlets are set to green timers so they shut-off after 30 minutes. This means that their own alarm clock doesn't work because it resets to 12 AM every 30 minutes......lol.....why is it even in the room? Being green is one thing, penny pinching is another. If they truly wanted to save the environment, they wouldn't have a hot tub and pool (believe it or not, heating these puppies 24-7 costs far more than shutting off visitor's high efficiency LED lights and outlets. Get rid of these bologna problems and you will get five stars.

Nice and affordable hotel in a quiet, scenic location. Free breakfast, pool, and hot tub. Close to ski resorts where we were headed. Would stay at again if I was in the area.

This hotel is great. Clean, comfortable and quiet. My only minor complaint is that the breakfast had very little available for those of us that eat a gluten free diet.

Brand new hotel at attractive cost in a super-convenient location for accessing multiple ski resorts during a ski vacation - stay in one place, drive to ski in multiple. Property is very well taken care of, and has many amenities that provide highe return value for the price paid (including breakfast). Highly recommend!

Overall a great stay for 7 nights. Clean, quiet. Hot tub and pool was a good amenity to have. Breakfast had poor choices.

Everything was great except for the Breakfast situation. You need more pancake machines and some of the pastries were not thawed. For such a nice hotel, The breakfast exacution need much more work and attention!

Perfect location from Fraser. The hotel and rooms were nice and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. The pancake maker was a hit for my family! The pool water was a bit cold but the kids enjoyed it. Georgetown is beautiful at night. There's a lake we walked over since it was frozen.
