Miss Eduina is the clear difference maker! Her overwhelming service, her ambition to provide the best customer experience and her problem solving skills made our stay a clear highlight in Florence. She gives the hotel a soul, without her it would only be a place.

What a beautiful experience in Hotel Relais, Il Cestello. My husband and I travelled from Australia for an emergency trip to be with our daughter , hospitalised while on her vacation. This hotel was a restful place for a stressful time. Very clean , neat , and tranquil. Eduina on the desk was amazing , thoughtful , helpful , as she juggled rooms to accomodate our daughter on an unknown date of discharge from hospital. Eduina made us feel like family , with her genuinely caring nature and her obvious dedication and commitment to her work. We would highly recommend this hotel - you will feel welcomed and looked after , from the cleanliness of the rooms , the delicious provisions for breakfast , and the proximity to attractions , while being on the quieter side of the river. Perfect location . Thankyou again Eduina for making our stay a pleasure , through our stress. You are a rare gem .

Terrible - great location and it ends there. Overpriced for a closet with hard beds in an unmanned lobby at night and front doors don’t work - anyone can manually push doors open…
No one is there after 7-8 pm. Party of 5 or 6 people came in and made lots of noise for an hour!
This hotel is awful!
The two receptionists were lovely.
If I wanted to complain or had an issue - there was no one to talk to.
I was not going to get up and ask those loud people to leave - so I was awake all night.
I would like a refund for the last night!
The shower is so tiny and awkward - at $300 a night I expect more. You have to carry your own luggage up two flights of stairs - everything is wrong and no Italian charm…too bad.

Property was very clean and nice location. Staff were very friendly but didn't speak english so it was difficult to communicate. We weren't sure about where the breakfast was since it wasn't in the small reception area. Wifi didn't work in our room.

My daughter and I stayed at the Hotel Relais Il Cestello for 4 nights and enjoyed our stay. It is located on the other side of the Arno river but very close to the historic areas and many great restaurants with many bridges nearby. Our room was clean, comfortable, and had a pretty view of the river. The bathroom was a tad small and there was loud music at night from a bar below. This may have been because we stayed over the weekend. The staff was helpful and accessible. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the train station and is located in a safe area.
