Review of Hotel Firenze 2000 which also goes by Youth Hotel Firenze 2000. WARNING! Do not go to this “hotel”! I travel around the world and stay in hotels of various star ratings but I have never stayed in a hotel as bad as this one. Where shall I begin? It is a 2-star hotel, so my expectations were not high. I wanted clean and safe. To begin with, I was required to wire transfer from the bank the entire amount of the hotel stay, including the taxes. I reserved 7 rooms for 12 people. The cost was the same as the 4-star hotels, but I couldn’t get 7 rooms. Then, as I requested that 6 of the rooms have twin beds instead of one larger one, I was charged an extra $50 per night, per room. That was a total of $600 for 2 nights. (I was charged in Euros but it was similar to dollars.) When we arrived, we saw that all of the beds in all of the rooms were twin beds. Some were pushed together to make a larger bed. When I complained, I was told that some of the rooms were upgraded. The upgrade was 2 twin beds pushed together and a cot as the second bed. If you are required to stay at this hotel, do not pay extra for twin beds. It is all they have! I asked for the $600 back because they were all twin beds but was told no. By the way, they were all hard as a rock and looked like they were from the 1960s child’s bedroom and well worn. The tile floors looked stained with dirt. One of the rooms had a shower that had black mold around the bottom edges of the shower. The people in that room thought it was safer to just not shower. When I brought it to the attention of Aldo, who I believe is the manager, he said it is the silicone. I told him that silicone is not black and that it is mold. He claimed to not understand what I was saying. The mold was around the whole bottom perimeter of the shower. His response is that this is the best 2-star hotel. Nope! We proceeded to the next room where the toilet would not properly flush. He took the lid of the tank off and said it is broke and just take the tank lid off to flush. I told his that this was unacceptable but was told there was nothing he could do. Another incident occurred in the middle of the night. There was a room in the hotel with a crying child and a barking dog, apparently without an adult. I didn’t find out about this until the next day from the people in that hallway who were kept up for hours. I don’t know why the hotel staff didn’t contact the police and let this persist for hours but it ruined the next day for many people because they were exhausted. There is not an elevator so be aware that you will have to carry your luggage up the stairs. Some rooms have no windows. When asked twice to call taxis, each time it was a challenge. I don’t know if it was the system they use but I didn’t have any trouble in any other areas. I asked for two large taxis about 1 hour before we needed them but they didn’t call them until we needed to leave and then proceeded to tell me it was the taxi company’s fault. We had to

Im August haben wir eine Nacht in diesem wirklich schönen Hotel verbracht. Hier hat alles gepasst. Die Lage ist super, 15min zu Fuß zur Ponte Vecchio. Das Hotel selbst ist einfach toll. Schon die Lobby ist eine Augenweide. Die Zimmer sind absolut okay, es ist herrlich ruhig. Der Hammer ist das Badezimmer und hier vor allem die Dusche. Hinter der Spiegelwand von 2 Seiten zu betreten, riesig groß mit 2 Duschen und genug Platz für 2 Personen. Das Ganze ist zum Zimmer hin alles aus Glas. Ist doch auch einmal nett, nach einem anstrengenden Stadtbummel eine Dusche zu zweit. Frühstück wurde Corona an den Tisch gebracht. Aber es hat an nichts gefehlt. Wir würden jederzeit wieder dieses schöne Hotel besuchen.

Der Aufenthalt war okay, wir würden aber nicht wiederkommen. Schon zum Check-in mussten wir 45 Minuten anstehen und warten. Das Zimmer war schön eingerichtet und man kann die Klimaanlage gut selbst einstellen, leider hat ein Föhn gefehlt. Außerdem war in 4 Tagen kein einziges Mal der Zimmerservice in unserem Zimmer, um sauberzumachen. Das größte Manko ist der Pool! Er ist leider viel zu klein für alle Gäste des Hotels. Darum muss man einen Tag vorher einen Zeitslot buchen, an dem man für 2 Stunden einen Platz am Pool hat. Doch auch dann macht es leider nicht wirklich Spaß, auf der rooftop bar zu sein, weil es trotzdem viel zu voll ist. Äußerst schade, da das Hotel stark mit dem schönen Pool wirbt und man ihn kaum nutzen kann. Auch enttäuschend, dass für den Preis dann nicht einmal das Frühstück inklusive ist. Die Lage des Hotels ist gut, man ist in 15-20 Minuten zu Fuß in der Innenstadt.

Das ist ein schönes, sauberes Hotel mit guten Einrichtungen und Lage und einem ausgezeichneten Frühstück. Es hat eine sehr traditionelle Dekoration, mit einem modernen Badezimmer. Unser Zimmer war genügend angenehm, aber das Fenster sah eine Wand an und hatte riesige Schließfächer, die wir nicht öffnen konnten. Daher war im Zimmer kaum natürliches Licht. Ich fand auch das Personal etwas unfreundlich, vor allem auf dem Rezeption. Es gab keinen Grüß, wenn Sie vorbei gingen, und sie scheinen etwas konservative - nicht die übliche Freundlichkeit, die Sie auf einem Rezeption erwartet hätten. Das Frühstückspersonal war viel schöner. Ich mag dieses Hotel, aber ein wenig Freundlichkeit und ein Lächeln gehen eine lange Straße und hätte unseren Aufenthalt verbessert.

I had problems trying to find a hotel in Florence at short notice and ended up booking a room at this hotel. First I should explain that this hotel is on the second and third floor of a building. I was given a room by the stairs, which by the way are made of wood I think, so the noise of people going up and down was terrible. There is a lift, but it will only take you from the ground floor to the reception, so if you have a suitcase and you are given a room on the third floor, you have to drag it up the stairs, near to where my room was. My room was big enough, with 2 single beds, and a bathroom almost the same side of the room, painted in red! and very dark, even with the light on. The room and bathroom were clean and my linen and towels were changed every day. Breakfast was good, plenty of choice, eggs, cereal, fresh fruit, cheese, cold meat, etc. Unfortunately the reception area was dirty. There are 2 or 3 settees with a material cover, which has not been washed for some time. The location of this hotel is excellent. 15 mns to the Duomo and 30 mns to the Ponte Vecchio. The guys at the reception were very helpful, polite and one of them, on the night shift, (regrettably I did not ask his name) never stopped smiling. Great service. Would I recommend this hotel? Yes but make sure you are giving a room away from the stairs.

Wir kamen ziemlich spät im Hotel an, da wir von Rom aus anreisten. Gabriele war ziemlich schnell und schickte uns vor unserer Ankunft alle notwendigen Informationen, da die Rezeption am Sonntag bis 15 Uhr besetzt war. Das Zimmer war überraschend schön und sauber und hat unsere Erwartungen sogar übertroffen. Obwohl ich es nur für eine Nacht für ziemlich gut hielt. Das nahegelegene Hotel hat ein schönes Pasta-Restaurant Al Peposo, man muss nur etwa 10 Minuten laufen. Tagsüber können Sie einfach zu Fuß in Richtung der Stadtgebiete laufen, sodass Ihnen die Umgebung nicht langweilig wird.

Der Grund, warum ich 3 Sterne stimme, ist, weil ich nicht in der Lage war, eine anständige Dusche zu nehmen, weil das Wasser blockiert wurde und es nach 5/6 Minuten zu überflüssig an den Boden. Sie müssen einen Piloten anrufen, da alles im Toilette blockiert ist. Ich ging zum Spa, auf den ich wirklich wartete, und ging dann in ein ”Hot Tub”, das kalt frischen! Das Salzzimmer war kalt in sich und das Dampfzimmer war nicht einmal dampfend. Das war enttäuschend. Ich habe dem Empfangsmann darüber gesprochen und er sagte, er würde jemanden anrufen, morgen früh zu kommen, um es zu reparieren. Angesichts meiner Erfahrung im Spa war es schrecklich, dass die anständige Sache, die das Personal mir hätte geben können, als Dank ist eine kostenlose Sitzung. Aber ich habe nichts davon. Insgesamt gut ist keine schlechte Lage, da es Busse in der Nähe von dem führt Sie direkt zum Stadtzentrum, aber Bitte kann der Manager einen Piloten rufen und reparieren diese blockierten Duschen.

Wenn Sie nach einer 5+-Sterne-Hotelerfahrung suchen, ist Villa San Michele der Ort, wo Sie bleiben. Von dem Moment, an dem wir ankommen bis zu unserem Abreise, wurden wir wie eine Lizenz behandelt. Jeder Grund, warum man ein Hotel wählen, dieser in allen ausgezeichnet. Von der Personal, zum Zimmer, zum Essen, zu den Einrichtungen, zu der Aussicht, dieses Hotel in Florenz unvergleichbar.

Die Villa ist schön, leicht mit dem Auto mit einem großen kostenlosen Parkplatz direkt nebenan zu erreichen. Der Gastgeber war so freundlich und wunderbar. Das einzige, was ich reagierte, war der Geruch des elektrischen Fehlerabwehrmittels im Zimmer. Sonst empfehle ich.
