A little hidden gem. David the proprietor was extremely informative on what to visit and see. Bus stop on the doorstep for the trips into the city centre. Well worth a visit. Alec and Kath. 8th Sept 2022.

Lovely area to stay in Edinburgh
Good access to public transport and plenty of places round about to eat. Lovely old house with lots of history attached. Comfortable accommodation and a good breakfast.

It’s was definitely a warm homely feeling. Very comfortable and inviting. The gentleman who owns the place was friendly and polite… and also not too chatty, which is perfect. One doesn’t want one’s ear talked off. It was the perfect stay. I felt like I could live in the room forever. Beautiful old world charm that you will never find in a Hilton, etc. will stay again!!!

I travel for business every week staying in expensive hotels, this trip was personal and i chose this B&B for affordability. Great host and beautiful lodgings. Topped off with lovely breakfast. I will will be staying here for future business trips!!

Very beautiful, well-preserved old (1790) home. Friendly, helpful owner, advised how to get around, booked my taxi. Beautiful room and private bath. Well accommodated. Recommend and would stay here again.

My wife and I loved this place. Funky old 18th century house converted to a B and B. Our room was spacious, comfortable and everything worked.
Breakfast was top notch full English breakfast.
Our host David was very helpful with dining reservations , instructions on getting around, what to see, etc.

An old Georgian mansion which has been updated with all of the most modern facilities. My room was thoroughly equipped with everything I could need - no reason at all to go to the bother of asking for anything at all. The breakfast was well prepared and offered a large variety - even for those picky vegan and vegetarian types. Very close by bus stops for transport either for town or back and forth from the airport. I also met friendly travelers from all over Europe at the breakfast table.

Absolutely loved this place and would stay again if in the area. David did everything he could to be accommodating when I turned up earlier than expected. His breakfast was cooked to order and was excellent. The bed is exceptionally comfortable. He has also provided so many extras that he doesn't need to provide.
