Das Casa Matara ist eines von jenen kleinen Boutique-Hotels, in denen man sich sofort zu Hause fühlt. Toll dekoriert mit allerlei Kleinigkeiten aus der Region, sehr zentral und doch superruhig gelegen. Die Betreiber sind wahnsinnig herzlich und tuen alles, damit der Gast eine perfekte Zeit in Cusco verlebt. Ich hatte diesmal leider nur sehr kurz Zeit, aber würde im Casa Matara gerne noch mal länger unterkommen!

The service is excellent. They really let you feel at home. The rooms are excellent, clean and beautifully decorated. Specious bed. Delicious breakfast. The kindness of the people serving in this hotel really gives you a very welcome feeling.

We loved our stay with Casa Matara Boutique. The staff made us feel welcome, the room and facilities were clean and beautifully decorated, and it was the best breakfast we had in Peru! If we are ever in Cusco again we will book to stay here.

Great location, near de Plaza. Breakfast was very good, and when we had early day trips they prepared a luchbox for us. The staff was amazing and everything exceeded my expectations. The bed was huge and very comfortable . They helped us with taxi, booking our day trips and everything went smoothly. Our bags stayed at the hotel when we left for a couple of days and we did not have any problems, in fact we were surprised to arrive late and find our bags already in the room!

Good value for money, clear pre arrival communication, lovely engaging staff, nice clean room. We stayed twice, pre Machu Picchu and afterwards. Breakfast is a simple affair but really tasty. Central but away from main streets so it's not noisy.

From the moment my husband and I arrived nothing was too much trouble. Everyone did everything possible to make our stay outstanding. The room was spacious and clean and the breakfasts delicious. I would highly recommend Casa Matara to anyone who wants a wonderful experience in a beautiful city

Visited this hotel in 2020 just before covid hit. It was an oasis in Cusco. Loved everything about it and highly recommend it. Cute decor, clean and comfy bed, wifi, hot shower, all the nice things. In the heart of downtown. Will stay here again when I return one day.

My wife and I stayed here for a few days before and after our Inca Trail hike. It was the perfect spot to recharge in Cusco. The breakfast was warm and delicious every morning. The WiFi was fast and reliable. Our rooms were comfortable and cozy — and had Netflix! And the service was remarkable. We felt at home and were confident that our bags were safe and secure while we were gone on our hike for a few days. I cannot recommend staying here enough!

Beds are comfortable, linen and towels are great, what more? WIFI was stable, breakfast is plentiful (eggs a la carte, bread, butter, ham, cheese, jam, fruit salad, yogurt, cereals though a small amount), and they make a take-away breakfast if you miss the standard hours which are 6:30-9:30. Location is OK - close to a big supermarket (2 min), IncaRail office (7 min), Main Square (9 min), San Isidoro market (6 min). You should realize though that most travelers like to live up the cathedral (San Blas) but it's very hilly there and I didn't want to climb several times per day. And people at the reception were so nice! I really appreciated this small hotel.
