Me and my daughter had a wonderful stay at Blackwell House. This beautifully newly refurbished country house offers all you could wish for and expect from a 5*! Very comfortable beds, beautiful grounds with herbs garden, a pound, hot tub and sauna and even a fairy garden and chickens. To top it all off the food served is absolutely delicious, from breakfast to dinner with special mention for the fabulous afternoon tea. Thanks Edele & Alessio for your warm hospitality and making us feel like at home. We will definitely come back!

Amazing Guest House in the country side. We stayed for 3 nights and will come again. Super friendly hosts, very nicely decorated interior as well as typical first class Irish breakfast. Well located to visit some of the many landmarks of Northern Ireland.

A little idyll in the countryside This lovely 5* guesthouse is located between Dublin and Belfast and has been run by Alessio and Edele Rampa with their 3 children since this year. All rooms have been newly painted and refurnished with a lot of love and taste. Lots of little details that made the stay and the a**osphere even nicer. The garden with a whirlpool bath, a pond and various small squares invites you to linger with a glass of wine or a drink. The breakfast was always freshly prepared, varied and the homemade bread on top was excellent. The dinners were varied and imaginative, tasted well seasoned and beautifully presented. 5* plus! The hosts are very warm and open and will help you with information about excursion destinations, sights, nearby restaurants, pubs, etc. I will definitely return again. All the best Rene

Steve and Joyce are the most wonderful hosts! Their home, the rooms (we stayed in three), the breakfasts, the gardens, and their precious dog (Murphy) surpassed all expeditions. We also booked a dinner one night, which was also exceptional. Blackwell House the the perfect base to explore Northern Ireland, yet come home to an idyllic peaceful oasis. We left feeling like we were saying good-bye to friends. Cannot wait to return next time we are in Ireland! Thank you Joyce and Steve!!

Be careful of booking this establishment on *********** They take 100% payment about 14 days prior to arrival ., 3 of us paid £500 for one night but due to bad weather , the sporting event that we were attending in the area was postponed two days before arrival . Our plea for a sense of fairness and even a partial credit note to use again fell on deaf ears . We did not even ask for a refund . So, be careful .

Really enjoyable stay. Bed was very comfy, food was beautiful. I would definitely go again. Something a bit different from a standard hotel stay! Joyce and Steve were excellent hosts and the staff were all very attentive.

I don't usually write reviews but I have to say that this was the most relaxing and enjoyable stay I've had in a long time. Everything from the food, to the facilities, the location and the a**osphere were fantastic. From our arrival (greeting from Murphy) to our departure, the staff made every effort to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Huge thank you to Steve for looking after us so well!! We hope to be back soon!!

FANTASTIC!! The Loft Suite was perfect for my family and I. We stayed at the Blackwell House on the last leg of our trip to Ireland and truly enjoyed minute. Steve and Joyce were amazing hosts, offering delectable food and drink (and even accommodated my 11-year-old son who is a picky eater). There were house cats roaming the gardens, chickens, and Murphy the adorable pup, who also did his fair share of making the guests happy. They greeted us with a beautiful en suite tea service upon arrival - just remarkable. We look forward to returning some day and recommend this establishment to anyone that asks.

My friend and I visited a couple of Saturdays ago for afternoon tea for a special birthday celebration. We had a lovely afternoon tea. Loved the music in the background. [Maybe a wee bit loud, but very minor criticism]. Staff made us feel as if we were in The Ritz in London. Have been for several afternoon tea experiences in well known hotels, but Blackwell House tops them all. Food excellent and so neatly presented, soup and lemon posset delicious! 🍋 The orange naturisum just finished the presentation. Thank you. Will be back.
