I stayed at the Comfort Inn in Mt. Pocono in April, 2023 for three (3) nights. I was there on business. Our family stays almost exclusively in the Choice Hotels brand for both personal and business trips and have seen many highs and lows with the brand throughout our travels. The Comfort Inn in Mt. Pocono is a comfortable, clean property. My room was a king suite and appeared to “formerly” be a hot tub suite, however, there is a sign in the room which indicated that the hot tub is no longer functional (which was fine with me because I did not book a hot tub suite anyways). The room was average, but clean. All lights worked, the refrigerator, microwave, and television all worked without issue. The internet connected with no issues, and I used it extensively to complete a few business-related tasks. In the bathroom, the toilet was fine but the shower needed some routine maintenance. The shower head desperately needs replaced; however hot water was not an issue. The “transition” flooring piece between the bathroom flooring and the main room carpet was missing and therefore, there were a few visible caulking “blobs” visible where the “transition” piece should be installed. I utilized the exercise room which was fine. The equipment is basic but is in working condition. The exercise room had a television. I did not use the pool, but it did appear a bit cloudy and the hot tub, as others have mentioned, is not functional. The breakfast was fantastic and the breakfast seating area was very nice, clean, and updated. Breakfast included an assortment of hot and cold foods. All the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The business center did not have a functioning printer, but they did offer the document I needed printed to be emailed to them and they could print it for me. I am sure they do not get many requests for use of their business center, but it was nice they could accommodate me. I would stay here again. It’s not a Hilton… doesn’t claim to be, but for the area and the price, you can have a nice, relaxing stay in a clean room with a good breakfast. Yes, there are updates that can (and should) be done to the rooms. As others have noted, one of the stairwells does smell of smoke but the other stairwell at the other end of the hotel is fine. The smoke in the one stairwell is due to employees smoking outside and propping the door open. I imagine by the smell, this happens routinely. I would recommend this hotel as a place to stay when you are in the Mt. Pocono area. Again, understand what you are getting (and not getting) and do not have unreasonable or unrealistic expectations for the property. They certainly can (and should) keep updating and improving the guest experience. However, I enjoyed my stay, slept well, had a great breakfast each day, enjoyed the exercise room, and the friendly staff made the stay enjoyable. For the area, the price was fair. I would encourage this Comfort Inn to keep improving the rooms as

Das ****** war sehr rauchig, auch der nicht rauchende Abschnitt. Es wäre besser, wenn sie PA-Leitlinien folgen und nicht rauchen. Es gab keine Käufer, um Gepäck zu behandeln, wenn wir überprüft haben, was ein Problem war. Wir sind ältere Menschen und Hubby nutzt einen Walker und kann Gepäck nicht wie er einmal behandeln. Glücklicherweise war auch ein junges Paar an der Eincheckung und hielte mir mit dem Gepäck. Restaurants waren großartig, aber ein bisschen preiswert.

Unser Aufenthalt im Best Western Plus in Pocono war mit weitem das schlimmste Hotel, das ich jemals geblieben habe (Ich bin 57). Wir waren auf unserem Weg zurück nach Kanada von Atlantic City. Wir prüften um 9:00 Uhr und der Vorderbüromitarbeiter verkaufte uns ein Zimmer mit 2 Queen Betten (sie nannte es Vollgröße Betten). Wir gingen zum Abendessen und gingen um 10:30 Uhr zurück zum Hotel und gingen in unser Zimmer. Es war ein kleines Zimmer wie ein Schuhkasten mit 2 kleinen Einzelbetten (am nächsten Tag nannte der Hotelbesitzer sie Zwillingbetten). Das Bett oder die Betten riechen wie ein Urin. Die AC schwimmte die ganze Nacht bis zum Punkt, dass wir es ausschalteten und schlafen in einem warmen Zimmer. Das Fenster war eine feste Schmerz von Glas und konnte nicht geöffnet werden. Am nächsten Tag nach der Dusche entdeckte meine Frau keinen Haartrockner. Wir riefen den Vordertisch an und sie sagten uns, es würde 20 Minuten dauern, um uns einen Haartrockner zu bringen, und das war das einzige Versprechen, das sie gehalten haben. meine Frau musste 20 Minuten mit ihr Haarwässigkeit sitzen. Ich denke, sie hatten nur einen Haartrockner in diesem Hotel. Als ich mich beschwert habe, sagte der Hotelbesitzer, der der Front Desk Mitarbeiter, Manager, Wartung, Koch, sie werden bald durch große Renovierung durchlaufen. Ich fragte, wie das uns hilft? Ich warte noch auf die Rückzahlung meiner $50.00 Sicherheitsdeposito.

Meine Frau und ich hatten im Jahr 2000 und 2001 den Chateau besucht, aber in 20 Jahren waren wir nicht in den Poconos. Wir würden gehen, zu Barley Creek essen. Und dann trinken wir in der besetzten Hotelbar des Chateau. Wir warten auf eine Rückkehr zu den Poconos, aber die meisten unserer Pläne wurden aus. Wir wurden ursprünglich von unserem GPS in das riesige neue Camelback Lodge Resort geführt. Haben das Resort, das wir bei bleiben, so viel verändert? Nein. Wir waren am falschen Ort und das Chateau hatte sich in 20 Jahren nicht ALL geändert und es war fast leer. Auf der einen Seite war das gut. Wir wollten nicht die Büste eines massiven Innenpark Resort, aber das Eigentum brauchte eine Erfrischung. Unser Zimmer war sauber und komfortabel, und das Personal war schön, aber es schien nicht so, als ob in 20 Jahren überhaupt nichts aktualisiert oder modernisiert worden war. Wir haben nicht den Innenpool oder die Heizungsröhre benutzt, und es war regnerisch, so dass wir keine der Outdoor-Attraktionen in der Nähe des Resorts nutzen. Wir haben Frühstück im Mountainview Grill gegessen und es war wirklich gut. Ich denke, das Chateau hat Potenzial, und ich bin sicher, das große neue nebenanes Resort hat es verletzt, aber ich fühlte mich schlecht, einen Ort zu sehen, der vor 20 Jahren ein zerbrechliches und schönes Resort war, so viel wie die Welt es durchgekommen hatte.
