Maple Springs Lake Side Inn

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at the Lakeside in from August 31 through September 5, 2023. The purpose of the visit was for a family reunion. When we were all younger, our families had the opportunity to stay at my grandparents cottage Right on Lake Chautauqua and Maple Springs. My grandparents eventually sold their cottage in order to move to South Florida to be near my parents as they were getting older. My brother Jeff took on the task of scheduling this reunion and could not have done a better job. First and foremost he picked out the Lakeside Inn for our accommodations. What a beautiful place to have a memorable and relaxing family reunion. The owners rose and Paul were gracious and friendly, and made this reunion a success. They both made us feel like family! The accommodations were quite charming, and the morning breakfasts were amazing! There were close to 20 of us, and most of us haven’t seen each other in 60 years since we are strewn throughout the country. The bonfires on the lake at night gave us a great opportunity of catching up and telling stories of the past. As a wonderful side trip, my wife and I were able to go to Niagara Falls for the day as it was only one hour and a half away. It was truly a wonderful five days and I can’t imagine having it in any other place! Thank you Rose and Paul, for making this an unforgettable trip. We all agree that we would love to do this again and you will be the first place we call!

This is a beautiful old property with lovely hosts. The house is old and that is what I loved about it. It sits right on the lake and you can make a bonfire there. Breakfast was very good. Bring your bikes if you can. The atmosphere is very relaxing.

We had an enjoyable stay at the inn. Our room looked out on Chautauqua Lake. Bed was comfortable, shower worked well. Room was very clean. Breakfast was very good, scones especially . We explored the surrounding region, Chautauqua Community, two vineyards and a boat ride on the lake provided by the innkeeper, Paul. Morning walks around the surrounding community were refreshing . Bonfire on the beach was a time to meet other guests. We would return.

Honestly, I can't say enough about how great this experience was! Rose and Paul were fun, flexible and overall wonderful hosts. My husband and I stayed for a week in August 2021 for our 15th anniversary. I am allergic to lactose and gluten intolerant, and we had pretty much given up on B&B's years ago because of those things and how poor the experiences became. We decided to give it another shot when we came across The Maple Springs Inn. I was blown away by the AMAZING job Rose did as chef!  She went above and beyond! Stuffed blueberry french toast, delicious breakfast quiches with lactose friendly cheese, fresh scones and muffins in different flavors everyday. You name it, we had it. We've traveled all over, and her food was truly amazing, gourmet level. We ate so well we didn't even need lunch most days. We stayed in the Downstairs Carriage House. It was beautiful, clean, very comfortable, and has a lovely view of the inn and the lake. The staff and service of the room was great, and they had good suggestions of places to visit or things we might enjoy checking out in the area. We went out on the boat and had breakfast at the marina one morning, which was a special treat to spend the morning on the water. The lake access is peaceful and beautiful, and sitting by the bonfire was the perfect way to end each day.   Thank you, Rose and Paul for a really amazing, fun experience that we will treasure! We look forward to coming back :-)
