Hotel Best Cambrils

Wunderbar nah am Strand und gute Anbindung an die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel. Das Restaurant war einfach und nicht sehr lecker. Die Poolbar war gut, aber die Cocktails waren nicht im richtigen Verhältnis

Lovely hotel with very welcoming staff. We travelled for a football tournament and availed of the food in the hotel which was lovely too. 1 minute walk to the beach which was great for early morning swims and day time fun. I would definitely return.

A nice relaxing Hotel stayed with partner for a short birthday celebrations, The weather was 28c so perfect for October sun. Food was ok always something to eat , drinks plentiful, wine and beer on tap and no issues getting cocktails. The staff we're mostly smiling and friendly.

Arrived at around 10am. Check in was quick although the staff could be more welcoming. Told room wasn't ready until 3pm so we got changed and headed to pool bar. As we'd been up since 1am we ordered toasties and chips from the snack bar which we enjoyed. All snacks cooked to order. Can also get nuts, nachos and olives for free if all inclusive. Self serve sangria, Estrella, soft drinks and water. Good choice of drinks on offer and some branded drinks like Gordon's and Absolut/Smirnoff are also included. The cocktails are from a self serve machine and are not great at all but I did enjoy the pina colada at the evening bar. We were allocated a room on the 3rd floor and the end of the corridor so quiet which is what we requested. A double bed, and one single. Quite small but adequate for a couple. Shower over the bath, and as other reviews have stated no hand rail so can be slippery! We were the opposite side to the swimming pool so had a nice sea view. Now onto the food. We were apprehensive before we arrived as some reviews slated the food but I can honestly say we really enjoyed all our meals. Breakfast was obviously pretty much the same each day but offered freshly cooked eggs, omelettes, pancakes. The normal scrambled egg, beans, bacon (not great) various types of sausages, hash brown etc. Multiple types of rolls, breads with jams and chocolate spread. Fruit, yogurts and cold meats. Only juices on offer were orange or pineapple, no apple. The coffee from the machine wasn't nice though. We enjoyed the fresh coffees from the pool bar, far more enjoyable. Lunch and dinner had a great selection, so much to chose from and all cooked lovely. During our week we enjoyed roast chicken, kebabs, orange duck, lasagne, seafood galore, roast pork, beef, chicken wings, BBQ ribs. They had vegetable dishes, chips, potatoes, paella, and a massive selection of salads. Their coleslaw, potato salad and pasta salad dishes were a winner with us. If all inclusive you have to queue to order which was the only downside as sometimes it was very busy. Could get a jug of sangria, Estrella, wines, orange Juice, soft drinks or a big glass of bottled water. A self serve bar would be a very positive addition to this restaurant. Lots of guests had a bottle of wine with their evening meal on the AI but when we asked we got an abrupt NO, glass only... The pool was a lovely size with both deep and shallow areas but it was cold. Always managed to get sun beds even though the hotel was very busy. The staff, in the main were not very friendly, with the exception of one or two but this has been reported in numerous reviews. The beach is a couple of minutes walk across the road. We enjoyed an afternoon in the sea, water much warmer than the pool and was much quieter. We then headed back for a drink in the shade at the pool bar. Evening entertainment wasn't great and started late at 10pm. Lovely staff, spotlessly clean. Topped up fridge daily. Something for everyone on the buffet. Didn't open the doors to the pool until 9 am therefore no fighting for the sun loungers. Hotel on main road so conveniently placed for bus routes, but still very quiet.

All good in Best Cambrils. Excellent hotel. Great location . Next to very clean beach. Next to Salou. Next to Cambrils. Super bus service outside for both. €2.10. 2 hour Train to Barcelona from Cambrils. Hotel clean and very well run. Rooms excellent. Buffet very good. Good fish selection. Good fresh pizza. Good desserts.fresh veg etc. Only complaint for me was no muesli , no fruit cocktail mix or individual yogurts for brekkie . Was cornflakes, grapefruit and oranges in halves and bowls of natural yogurt. But that's just my opinion. Labeling of all the foods is a must as we were unsure and not familiar with all the varied and lovely dishes .

I stayed here 2 weeks Sept/Oct. It's a large hotel. Reception at times was very slow due to inadequate staffing. The restaurant was excellent offering good selection of food at breakfast and lunch with very helpful staff. The main bar in the evening sometimes had long waits for service, again because there was not enough staff. Rooms were good and well serviced on a daily basis. Good pool area with sunbeds.

We just returned from an 8-day all-inclusive stay at Best Cambrils - The Holiday was booked through LoveHolidays. Check-In: We arrived around 9.30 PM and were greeted by the lovely Lidia at the reception - an absolute star, nothing too much trouble, very polite, and spoke great English. She rushed through our check and stored our bags so we could make the evening meal that finishes at 10 PM which we were very grateful for after a day of traveling. Food: Breakfast: Both a (Spanish) full English and continental breakfast was available and was the same every day give or take - a great start to the day with no complaints. Dinner: The food was very good, cooked to a high standard, and extremely flavourful. Over the 8 days, there were 2 days of heavy seafood which was not for us, but the other days was a large variety of food and something for everyone. They cook fresh pizza every day and can build your own burger which is cooked in front of you if you want the most basic meal. There were Chinese-inspired days as well as some Mexican days and the staff also ate from the buffet at the end of the dinner which is also a good sign! Snacks: Snacks are served from the PoolSide bar in between dining sessions and we enjoyed the ham and cheese toasted sandwiches most days but you can order chips, tortilla chips, olives, and a range of other snacking bits! There is also a help-yourself soft drinks machine, sangria and Estrella Taps, and a cocktail machine which was extremely useful for avoiding queues. Entertainment: I have to say the entertainment was thoroughly disappointing - there was a large timetable in the reception of activities and times for different events but beyond a 15-minute aqua aerobics session on the first day, we did not see any other daytime entertainment - maybe due to it being October? But if that is the case the timetable should really be removed and stated when booking. Evening entertainment was very basic (A single game of bingo, Man vs. woman competitions, etc.), the predominant language for the entertainment was Spanish - with an English translation rushed shortly after which was made worse by the echo from the PA system. As the majority of visitors did appear to be Spanish OAPs it was understandable but also left us feeling a bit out of place or struggling to understand what we were supposed to be doing. Overall, I would not recommend taking Children if you are looking to stay in the hotel in the evening. Rooms: We stayed in a Pool View room and the room was right above the evening bar so we experienced loud and bassy thuds until Midnight every night from the music in the bar - not that it bothered us too much. If this bothers you, I recommend requesting a room (I believe) below room number 140 or requesting you be above the restaurant which should save you from this. Our room was extremely clean, with the cleaners coming in and making the beds, providing fresh towels and linen daily, and plenty of amenities such as S

A large family based hotel, with a very limited pool area which was very congested. The nearby beach would be the better option. It was very busy with Spanish coach parties staying at the hotel. The rooms were cleaned daily. The food was very good, fresh and varied. The restaurant was well managed and organised. The staff were very helpful but the entertainment was variable in quality. The bus stops just outside the hotel and is excellent value for money if you buy a travel card and explore the coast from Cambrils to Tarragona.
