Die Hygiene im Hotel fühlt sich in Ordnung an, die Mahlzeiten sind schlecht, die Zimmertür ist nicht verschlossen und es ist nicht sehr sicher. Die Fenster sind bei hohen Geschwindigkeiten lauter. Die Arbeitsbegeisterung des Hotels ist jedoch noch größer.

Beautiful hotel, staff friendly and knowledgeable, food lovely, leisure facilities clean and staff very welcoming. Will definitely recommend and can’t wait to return.

Absolutely awful experience. Noise from the gym from 07:30 until 21:00 in the old building with no sound proofing. Then when that goes quiet the flood light for the car park comes on and the curtains are not enough to block it out lighting the room from all sides. Furniture is dated and bed was uncomfortable. Bathroom was also dated and had issues like the toilet handle being damaged due to the constant need to excessively flush to make it work and low water pressure from the ancient taps that the caps keep falling off from. Mould and cracks can be seen and cobwebs behind the curtains. Then the food, had a deal including a 2 course dinner which was beyond awful. Ended up ordering out as it was poor ingredients and cooked badly. Overcooked chicken and floppy fries. Wine tasting was a joke too (part of the package) 4 crap wines in the incorrect glasses, not bothered by now though, with just a whisker of wine in them, and then asked if I wish to purchase any of the vinegar they offered. I have stayed in some run down places in the past but this place took the biscuit. Gym is full all day and the smell of the pool from outside my room put me off going, overall poor experience especially for the cost. Said something at reception and only got a poor response. Don’t go here, don’t waste your money. You can see how run down it is when you arrive to a poorly maintained building. The photos on the web site are nothing like the experience, the room I stayed in was run down and old and the food was absolutely not presented as in the professional photos added. Wir sind nach einem drei-Nacht-Stadt in der Astley Bank gerade nach Hause zurückgekehrt. Zum Ankunft waren wir zufrieden genug mit unserem Zimmer, obwohl es ein bisschen datiert und müde aussah. Freunde nahmen uns zum Abendessen im Restaurant bei, dass Abendessen und das Essen war gut. Am ersten Morgen hatten wir Frühstück in einem kleinen Seitenzimmer, wo wir die Wahl von Obst, Joghurt, Gewürze und eine gekochte Auswahl aus dem A la Carte Menü hatten. Alles sehr schön. Wir hatten uns informiert, dass es eine Hochzeit war, aber da unser Zimmer im zweiten Stock war, waren wir überhaupt nicht durch den Lärm beunruhigt und hatten einen guten Abends Schlaf. Unsere Hauptprobleme sind um das Frühstück am zweiten Tag. Aufgrund der Hochzeitsfeier war das Frühstück im Restaurant ein Buffet. Auch bei unserem letzten Frühstück wurde im Restaurant wieder ein Buffet serviert. An beiden Tagen wurde uns gesagt, das Restaurant bei 9.30 scharf zu verlassen, da das Personal für Mittagsgäste vorbereitet werden musste. Wir wurden auch gesagt, dass es keine mehr Grünbäume übrig blieb, da sie alle gegessen waren. Astley Bank ist ein vier-Sterne-Hotel, aber aus unserer Erfahrung in den letzten zwei Morgens war das Frühstück nicht eine vier-Sterne-Event. Wir hätten angekündigt werden sollen, dass das A la Carte-Menü nicht verfügbar wäre und unserer Ansicht nach eine Erstattung angeboten werden. Unser anderes Problem war die Über-Badewanne in unserem Badezimmer. Das Wasser kam aus wenig mehr als ein Dribbler, wieder, nicht das, was Sie von einem vier-Sterne-Hotel erwarten. Die Mehrheit der Mitarbeiter waren sehr angenehm, mit einem bereiten Grüß und Lächeln. Vor allem wegen der Frage über das Frühstück, müssen wir uns ernsthaft darüber nachdenken, ob wir zurückkommen. Jede Änderung von dem, was man erwarten könnte, sollte bei der Buchung klar erläutert werden.
