The River View Apar**ent Hotel is a very good place to stay, but it can be a little confusing. The location is actually good, but you'll need GPS or other navigation to find it - the building is located on a narrow alley off a small street just beyond Bratislava Castle. If there's another vehicle in the driveway, just stop right there and walk up - cars will jockey for position on the narrow driveway. (Fortunately, there isn't a lot of car traffic here because there aren't a lot of rooms.) There is a garage, but it only holds two cars, so arrive early if you want to be certain of parking. A+ service, and most/all of the staff can speak English. Is it a hotel, an apar**ent, or a residence? It's all of these, and it has a front desk with hotel services so don't be deceived by the name. Our room was clean, comfortable, modern, and spacious, with a great view over the Danube from high up on castle hill. Other rooms are smaller, and may not have as good a view, but there's a sort of garden terrace with a view outside that is available to all guests. Breakfast at the hotel was good, with a solid variety of offerings, considering how few guests there are. The location is also good - a very short walk to the castle (just past the Slovakian Parliament) and a 10-15 minute walk through the castle grounds to get to old town Bratislava. But the best thing is that nights are very quiet at this place. We slept well, even with our balcony door open all night.
