I contacted the fairway hotel( which owns the chorlton hotel) to ask for a ground floor room for my elderly father, they advised the hotel next door which is also theirs could accommodate us, so I booked and paid £216 for the down stair twin for him and a family room to sleep 3 ppl for 2 nights, enquired about breakfast was told to order and pay on arrival, asked about parking and was informed there was parking out front of hotel. Fast forward to the Friday arrived about 1 ish and went to find out about check in, was greeted by Claire (owner) who was rather flustered told me she doesnt do breakfast and we couldnt park in street so had to use carpark next to coral island at a cost of £28, was given room keys went next door and we had been given ground floor and upper king size that sleeps 2, went back to desk and informed thats not what I had booked, the attitude from her was ridiculous and was promptly told if we wanted something else it would cost more and if we didnt like it then we could go to travel lodge, she then offered 3 of us the downstairs apar**ent for extra £20 which we paid but upon inspection there was no handrail for the steep stair case and was dangerous for my Child so asked if she had something else, we were given a single & a double room but never given the £20 back for the apar**ent! We asked about heating as the rooms were cold to be told she would put it on for an hour but not all day, needless to say all rooms were cold and my elderly father had to sleep in his clothes and have the duvets from both beds, 2 rooms didn't have hot water either, called the next morning to ask for this to be rectified and neither were done till after 6pm, room 6 tv wasn't working, window couldn't open, room 4 had a sour milk smell and window wouldn't close properly none of this was rectified. Safe to say would not recommend this hotel which is a shame as previous owners had such a good reputation for the place
