Strandhotels in Sydney

This is an almost perfect hostel, for sure one of the best I've ever been! Great staff, really good breakfast included, billard pool and couches plus the various activities (as well as possible bike, Beachvolleyball etc rental for free!) make it easy to connect quickly. Also, the beds are very comfortable amf the curtain provides some privacy too. Only point for improvement: an air condition in the room would be great. But the Ventilator worked fairly well too.

• room: overall clean and equipped with fridge and microwave which was very convenient. My room was facing the side of a kindergarten so in the morning after 7.30 it was pretty noisy and during the day also • amenities: there is a well equipped kitchen, a little small for all guests but it is just about planning when to use it, there is a nice garden and books and games available in the living room • location: 10 min walk to the beach, 20 min walk to the supermarket and overall it is in a nice quier neighbourhood • staff: friendly and supportive my background: I travel 320 days a year since 8 years staying in all range of accomodation from hostel to 5star. I just review objectively what I see with no judgement

I don’t usually go out of my way to give hotel reviews. Postive or negative. However I must for this hotel. I was recommended this hotel by someone I am having a meeting with in the area. It was shockingly expensive, but I figured it would be worth it due to location and it was recommended by my contact. I don’t always stay in 5star, but when staying in 5star, and super expensive, I absolutely expect 5star service. 1. Having being dropped off at the hotel there was zero bell boy to help with my luggage. I did all myself. After going inside the hotel I was asked if I would like help with my bags, but replied I already had them… again I already go it myself. 2. At every single hotel I stay in the world it’s common when you ask at reception, how is my room, do I have a good view or location they check and my change it a little for better location or room type if they have vacancies. I was replied to by the girl in reception in a somewhat arrogant manner, sir you have the standard room… with zero intent to look to see if there was better option. In countless years and counties I’ve never had this response. At lease some carding or trying, even if they were full but not just arrogant cold “you have standard”. 3. The sauna advertised is NOT free. It’s paid extra and you need to book. Why would a hotel advertise sauna when it’s an additional cost. In addition it closes at 7:30pm. In all my years I’ve never been to a hotel where it closes so early. How can one have meetings and get back to have a sauna in time. When I complained about this also I was met with coke arrogant smiles. 4. The last day on check out in morning there was no body at the front desk. Zero. Very strange. Never have I been in a hotel there was no body in reception. Even more so strange for such an expensive hotel. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. I would in fact go, and have done put my way to NOT recommend. Not even a 1 star. For the price this is ridiculously over priced. The arrive is a lousy 1 star budge hotel. In fact a 1 star would have friendlier and better authentic service. On one positive note. The gym is amazing. The gym is a 5star as it’s not a “hotel gym” but a membership gym part of hotel. My overall rating therefore is a 2 star for the gym alone. Hotel for the price they charge and the well below average service zero!

Es war toll. Parken war kostenfreiauf der Straße möglich. Der Stadtteil machte einen sicherer Eindruck, wenn auch nicht ganz so chic wir Bondi o.Ä. Das Zimmer war geräumig und stilvoll. Die Gemeinschaftsküche ist hilfreich und sehr angenehm. Von der Unterkunft kommt man auch gut mit dem ÖPNV herum. Eine sehr gute Wahl in Sydney!

Great location, close to the shops and light rail. Rooms were clean and staff were friendly.

Für eine Nacht in Ordnung. Das Hotel befindet sich über dem Pub, der auch ab nachmittags sehr gut besucht ist. Es gibt dort sonntags auch Livemusik bis ca 21 Uhr abends. Alles vollkommen in Ordnung, wenn man nicht gerade Zimmer 10 neben der Waschmaschine/Trockner hat und neben der Lüftung schläft. Auch wenn ab 21 Uhr trocknen und waschen nicht erlaubt ist,störte es sehr. Die Hotelzimmer gehen nach hinten raus,so hat man morgens leider ebenso den Lärm der Ladezone vom Supermarkt. Positiv war,dass das Zimmer in einem modernen Zustand war und die Mitarbeiter alle sehr nett waren. Der Strand ist fußläufig zehn Minuten entfernt.

Kam sehr spät an, da ich mich aus dem Haus eines Freundes ausgesperrt hatte und dringend ein Zimmer brauchte. Das Zimmer war sauber und das Bett bequem, aber die Klimaanlage machte einen fürchterlichen Lärm, der mich am Einschlafen hinderte. Ich hatte mit dem Nachtmanager gesprochen, der nachfragte, ob es in anderen Zimmern weniger laut sei, aber im ganzen Hotel war es genauso. Ich habe einen sehr leichten Schlaf und bin geräuschempfindlich und hätte normalerweise Ohrstöpsel, aber ich war ausgesperrt! Ich erklärte der Rezeptionistin am Morgen die Situation, aber da es sich um die normale Umgebungslautstärke handelt, ist es sehr unwahrscheinlich, dass ich mein Geld zurückbekomme. Ich würde einen Aufenthalt hier nicht empfehlen, wenn Sie den Lärm nicht ertragen können. Außerdem war die Dusche im Zimmer darüber um 6.30 Uhr sehr laut (nicht gerade erwünscht, wenn man erst um 2 Uhr morgens schlafen geht!!)

Location is fantastic if you are staying on bondi, walkable to beach and restaurants. Yoga and paint and sip were included. There was a nice kitchen to use and rooms to hang out in. The bathroom in the private rooms is very small. Toilet is basically in the shower, similar to a sailboat bathroom. Smelled a little moldy in the showers but other than that the room was clean. The only complaint was that it was SO loud. I had a hard time falling asleep and woke up from people being to loud. You hear everything so bring earplugs.

The interior and the shower needs to be updated, very old and outdated. The floor in the shower fills up quickly and not running down the drain fast enough which was quite unpleasant to experience. The place needs heating or a heater as it can get quite cold during the winter. The queen bed was comfortable and warm and the room was spacious for 1 person. The reception is friendly and always smiling although it would be good to know in advance if my single bedroom that I booked for another booking so I didn't have to lugged 2 luggages and my handbag with my laptop into up and down the stairs as there are no lifts. I was surprised that a woman knocked on my door at 9:45am that she was ready to get into my room when in the booking, it says check out is 10am. That made check out a very annoying experience for me. The location is great as it's a short walk to the beach and Cronulla centre.
