The Pendle Inn

Dispite the staff being rushed off their feet on a busy Bank holiday Sunday, I was sorted with our room key quickly. Our home away from home was a gorgeous little apar**ent. Simple but clean and tidy with everything we need. We ate in the inn lovely food. Would definatly stay again. Staff were smiley friendly and helpful.

The staff need more training in basic hygiene. While we were waiting for our food we saw that The waitress drop the forks on the floor and pick it up and put it on the table to be used. She also cleaned the cutleries with a dirty cloth which she used to clean the tables with.

Stayed for 1 night in the accommodation across the car park & ate in the restaurant in the evening. Accommodation was really tired and cheap furnishings. Felt like a low budget place, wasn’t clean and carpeting if dogs stay isn’t the cleanest option. The shower was grim. Don’t think any furniture has been pulled & cleaned behind since this was last decorated, which looks like years ago. Couldn’t wait to get out of there. Waste of £90 for the night. Restaurant food was ok.

We came after our running club had been out running around pendle hill, we had a wonderful afternoon! The food and drink was really good and the staff couldn’t do enough to accommodate us. We were a group of about 35 people and everything went really smooth as we had pre ordered our food. We will be there again very soon. 👍

We’ve just come home from our lovely stay in Pendle. We booked the hotel through *********** because it was a good deal, just thought it was for a basic hotel room in a pub but we were so pleasantly surprised. We showed up and were checked in by one of the many lovely staff members at the pub and were taken to one of the little annex apar**ents around the back of the pub - amazing! Our dog is quite anxious so this was perfect for her as it meant she didn’t have to walk through the pub when going in and out. It also had a private parking space. The annex was beautiful. Really clean and didn’t smell considering it’s dog friendly (I’ve been in many dog friendly hotels where they stink!). A lovely amount of space, loved the bedroom up the stairs - the view of the little garden out the back and the sheep were lovely. Food was able to be ordered from the bar and brought to our rooms. The food was lush, especially the gammon. Staff couldn’t be anymore friendly. The area itself is lovely and peaceful. The only downfall was the fire alarm going off a couple of times on our last morning but this was quickly sorted by the staff on site. Already booked to go again next year and we can’t wait!

A large group of ladies visited the Pendle inn for a meal. We chose starters main courses and sweets. Every meal was cooked beautifully, tasted delicious ,served with fresh vegetable selection and came out quickly. I cannot recommend this pub highly enough. The staff are exceptional. Friendly and efficient. The manager Stuart runs everything quietly and firmly . He is clearly well respected by staff and customers alike. Keep up the good work Pendle inn. We will be back for a repeat performance next year.

Enjoyed lovely meal with family after a walk. Food very good. Would appreciate a little more vegetarian choice but my cheese pie was tasty. Nicely decorated for Chris**as. Good a**osphere and friendly staff.

Went for my dads birthday, the food is amazing, fantastic a**osphere too. Tempura prawns are to die for and tonnes of options on the menu! The staff are lovely and welcoming, we’ll definitely be going back again!

We were vising Nelson, my old town, and our friends decided the best place to meet up would be the Pendle Inn at Barley. The place looked so appealing, we received a warm welcome and were seated in the huge conservatory with plenty of seating but with lots of space. We had pints of Pride Of Pendle and looked at a tasty menu. Between us we had a Ploughman's lunch which my pal said was more than ample with a plate full of taste. I had a Cheese and Onion pie that was simply succulent. All four of us were well impressed with the meals which were all good portions, all tasty and all of us were satisfied. The staff were warm and attentive and Sam, the barman, was an engaging young man and a good ambassador for an excellent pub.
