Costa Palawan ist eine große Anlage und befindet sich ca 3 km vom Stadtzentrum entfernt. Vor dem Hotel warten stets tricycles auf Passagiere.
Der Besitzer ist Chinese und daher gab es während meines Aufenthalts auch einen Drachentanz zu Chinesisch Neujahr.
Ich hatte ein Zimmer der mittleren Kategorie, dennoch waren Fahrrad- und Kajakausleihe inklusive. Daneben auch Transfers vom und zum Flughafen zurück.
Frühstück hatte ich auch gebucht und das Buffet war gut und ausgewogen.
Neben dem Strand bietet das Hotel zwei Pools, ein Fitnessstudio sowie ein Restaurant und Massagen direkt am Beach an. Auch je Pool eine Bar.
Vor dem Hotel, an der Straße nach PP, befinden sich diverse Shops und Ausflüge in die Hauptstadt (Strandpromenade) rentieren sich sowieso.

Sehr nettes Personal, tolle Ausstattung vor allem für den Preis. Der unglückliche Teil ist, dass ich den unterirdischen Fluss nicht sehen konnte, weil das der einzige Grund war, warum ich ursprünglich dort war. Sie haben mich während meines Aufenthalts unterhalten und die Mahlzeiten und Getränke waren fantastisch. Freundliches Personal und cooler Pool mit schönem Meerblick und Lichtern und Musik auch nachts.

Ich war auf unseren Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel freuen, leider habe ich vielleicht jx meine Erwartungen hoch gesetzt. Die Mitarbeiter sind höflich und freundlich. Das Frühstück war ok. Das Zimmer war nicht wie erwartet , ich war ein bisschen enttäuscht. Aber ich war zu müde, um sich zu beschweren. Obwohl das Zimmer sauber aussieht, hat es einen schrecklichen alten Geruch, der mich sehr viel schneidet. 🤧

This has been the best hotel I’ve ever stayed. The hotel is brand new and all the facilities are so beautiful! Nearby there is a village with locals and there are a lot of nice shops and cafes with local cheap food. Very convenient!
What strikes you there as well is how good the service is. Everyone is highly competent and sincerely happy. I want to say a BIG thank you to Niki at the reception and Amy in the restaurant. They are so professional and just excel at their jobs. Overall, we had amazing time there.

It’s ok… the breakfast, the pool, the service is ok. Small adjustments would make it better eg refilling breakfast items and when asking reception a question their go to answer seemed to be no. For example, can I have a spare key? Can we have our room cleaned. Both got a response of no. When I asked for further clarification it became an err yes. You need a spare key to go to the pool, the spa, the gym etc so they need to think of a better system . We’d been out all day and left the sign asking for cleaning. Got home and it wasn’t done so we asked when popping out for dinner. Overall, not bad if you want a motel style. A bit rusty otherwise

The room was clean, comfortable, and conveniently located near the mall and restaurants, which made our stay more enjoyable. The WiFi was fast and reliable, a big plus for anyone who needs to stay connected.
However, there was no access to cold drinking water, only room temperature, and the two complimentary bottles provided were insufficient. While you can request more, the service can be slow at times, which is inconvenient when you need water quickly. A cold water dispenser or more readily available bottles would greatly improve the experience.

Ich weiß gar nicht, wo ich anfangen soll, wenn ich über dieses Lokal spreche, weil es so fabelhaft ist!
Das Personal hat sich vom Anfang bis zum Ende unseres Aufenthalts großartig um uns gekümmert. Freundlichkeit, Verfügbarkeit und Professionalität, die ich in keinem anderen Hotel gefunden habe! Ich habe sogar ein kleines Stück Kuchen zum Geburtstag meines Partners bekommen!
Vom Gärtner bis zur Rezeptionistin sind alle freundlich, zuvorkommend und unglaublich nett!
Das Zimmer ist geräumig, gut durchdacht und die Betten sind angenehm!
Die öffentlichen Bereiche sind sauber. Die Manager haben wirklich an alles gedacht: Fahrräder für einen Spaziergang vorhanden, schönes Natursteinschwimmbad, Garten im Bau, aber schon gut gemacht, Kanu- und Kajakfahren sind ebenfalls möglich... kurz gesagt, alles zum Wohlfühlen!
Das Hotel hat während unseres Aufenthaltes viele kleine Aufmerksamkeiten zu bieten: Wir bekamen jeden Tag Kleinigkeiten zum Essen!
Und ein kleines Extra, das für mich ein Extra ist, weil ich ein großer Kaffeeliebhaber bin: eine Kaffeebar, die von einer liebenswerten kleinen Frau geführt wird.
Er hat dafür gesorgt, dass wir unseren ersten Aufenthalt in Palawan genossen haben und dass wir wiederkommen wollten! DANKE !

Das Zimmer ist super groß und es gibt einen kostenlosen Flughafentransfer. Ich habe es wegen der kostenlosen Abholung vom Flughafen gebucht. Das liegt daran, dass mein Partner und ich verschiedene Flüge unternommen haben und sie auch sehr nett waren. Wir fragen im Voraus nach, also haben Sie keine Erwartungen an das Frühstück.

This place is fantastic! Location-wise, it’s really great. It’s very near the city’s commercial establishments and great restaurants - 5-minute drive on average. It’s also near the airport. The neighborhood in which it is in is very quiet and peaceful. So if you want a place that’s very accessible but still in a quiet location, this hotel is for you.
I also would like to commend the staff - they’re all very warm and friendly. They were very accommodating and gladly answered all our questions about our travel.
This hotel has a resort vibe so you really get to relax. It has great amenities, a lovely pool, and a relaxing main reception hall with a billiard table and comfy couches. It also has an in-house restaurant which is great for those who don’t want to go out to dine. Our room was very clean, cozy and surprisingly large for its price.
We would definitely book this place again when we visit Puerto Princesa in the future. Definitely worth the price! 🫶

War wirklich schön Aufenthalt, das Zimmer ist wunderschön, der Pool ist sehr freundlich, das Personal ist sehr nett, 10mins Fahrt vom Flughafen, sehr nahe der Stadt auch. Restaurant hat schöne italienische Speisen.
Die zweite Zeit, die wir hier geblieben haben, war erstaunlich, aber die zweite Zeit hier (nur für eine Nacht) war unser AC nicht stark genug und machte für ein ziemlich unbehagliches Gefühl.
Ich würde zurückgehen und bleiben, ganz sicher

GGastnutzerThe experience over all was amazing. We truly enjoyed our time in this hotel. The staff were very accommodating (they did need to switch us rooms though cause the first one had an AC with a bad smell) but without hassle they changed us and everything was fine. I think if the ac doesn’t run for a while they can do that. The pool was absolutely great, we spent most days in the pool at least once. I did wish it had a bit of shaded area over the pool itself but the water temperature was just right and so relaxing. The breakfast had a lot of choices and was very delicious. We had some lunches and dinners there too which were all great as well. There is a very cool 360 roof bar with a happy hour, though it was disappointing that the front desk info said it included cocktails and beer for happy hour but we were told beer only for happy hour prices when we went up there. The location and the views are just stunning from wherever you look and it’s truly peaceful. It is a bit far away so you would want a motorbike or car rental, which we did have so it wasn’t a problem for us. It was one of the most relaxing stays we had in the Philippines and we would definitely go back! :)

Von dem Moment an, als wir nach einem langen Flug im Hotel ankamen, wurden wir von einem außergewöhnlichen Team von Mitarbeitern begrüßt, die alles taten, um unseren Komfort und unsere Zufriedenheit sicherzustellen. Trotz der zahlreichen Taschen, die wir im Schlepptau hatten, half uns jedes Mitglied des Personals, vom Wachmann bis zur Rezeptionistin, eifrig und gab uns das Gefühl, als Gäste wirklich geschätzt zu werden. Ein besonderes Lob gebührt Henry an der Rezeption, dessen Gastfreundschaft und Professionalität während unseres Aufenthalts hervorstachen. Von der Organisation unseres Flughafentransfers bis hin zur Erleichterung unseres Ein- und Auscheckens war Henrys Engagement, unsere Bedürfnisse zu erfüllen, auf Schritt und Tritt offensichtlich, was ihn zu einer echten Bereicherung für das Hotel machte.
Als wir unser Zimmer betraten, waren wir angenehm überrascht von seinem gemütlichen Charme. Obwohl es vielleicht nicht die elegante Modernität neuerer Einrichtungen aufwies, bot das Zimmer alles, was wir brauchten und mehr. Die komfortable Einrichtung, gepaart mit durchdachten Annehmlichkeiten, bot eine entspannende Oase nach einem Reisetag.
Einer der Höhepunkte unseres Aufenthalts war das kostenlose Frühstücksbuffet im Citystate Asturias Hotel. Mit einer großen Auswahl, die von lokalen Köstlichkeiten bis hin zu internationalen Favoriten reichte, übertraf das Frühstücksbuffet unsere Erwartungen in Bezug auf Vielfalt und Geschmack. Es war ein herrlicher Start in den Tag und gab den Ton für einen unvergesslichen Aufenthalt in Puerto Princesa an.
Insgesamt war unsere Erfahrung im Citystate Asturias Hotel geprägt von außergewöhnlicher Gastfreundschaft, komfortablen Unterkünften und köstlichen Speisemöglichkeiten. NNIKITAEs liegt fast im Zentrum, gegenüber einem großen Einkaufszentrum, in dem man absolut alles kaufen kann, einer Tankstelle in der Nähe usw. Es ist einfach, diesen Ort in jede Richtung zu verlassen. Die Zimmer sind sauber und ordentlich, der Pool liegt auf hohem Niveau, ein bisschen Bau unter den Fenstern würde nicht schaden, denn ich glaube, lange wird man hier nicht bleiben, schließlich ist Puerto Princessa nur ein Umsteigepunkt.

VVanCitadel (the name of one of the owners) is probably the ”best for the money” mini-resort in Puerto Princesa! My room had a king bed, was comfortable and included satellite TV, a fridge and sink area. The grounds a pool are clean, neat and look great. The pool is amazing for a property size. Even though the Citadel is located 1.5km away from one of the main roads and the Robinson's Mall there are small food stores nearby for basic needs. It's easy to get a tricycle from the road near the property to just about anywhere in the Puerto area. Do ask one of the locals what the fare should be to the placey you want to go.
Francois and Citadel, the owners are very nice and helpful. You will enjoy your at the Citadel!
BONUS TIP: Just up the road (north) to the left is a food store and cafe on the right side of the road. Inside is a dental office run by Dr Joy Zapanta. She offers a full range of dental services. I got my teeth cleaned for about US$20. I could see dental tourism as a future business for Dr Joy. Enjoy your stay at the Citaldel and get all your dental work done!

NNick BunchakAlles in allem ein anständiger Ort für das Geld. In der Nähe des Flughafens, zu Fuß in 15 Minuten erreichbar. Das Zimmer ist in Ordnung, zwar eng, die Klimaanlage ist sehr laut, aber für eine Nacht in der Nähe des Flughafens ist dies eine normale Option. Der größte und größte Nachteil ist das Internet im 4. Stock. Oder besser gesagt, praktisch in seiner Abwesenheit arbeitete er furchtbar, ich musste unten in der Lobby sitzen, um mehrere Nachrichten zu senden.

GGastnutzerDer Ort ist recht interessant. Es gibt viel Grün, Pflanzen und Blumen im Hotel. Es gibt auch verschiedene geschnitzte Figuren aus Holz und andere Dinge in der Umgebung; es war sehr interessant, durch das Gebiet zu spazieren. Kleiner und flacher Pool, es gibt eine Poolbar. Man kann dort alles von der Speisekarte bestellen, die Preise sind durchschnittlich und das Essen ist köstlich. Günstiges Bier kann übrigens im Sonderangebot erworben werden. Das Hotel selbst ist nicht neu, etwas veraltet, obwohl auf Sauberkeit geachtet wird, aber anscheinend nicht mit allem Schritt gehalten wird. Das Zimmer ist geräumig, mit Klimaanlage und TV ausgestattet. Im Prinzip waren wir zufrieden, ich empfehle es weiter.

We recently stayed at Microtel Hotel, booking two rooms, and unfortunately, our experience was disappointing.
The rooms were outdated, with dim lighting that made it hard to see. The shower controls were rusted, and even the tissue holders showed significant wear. We were surprised to find that there’s no in-house restaurant, and the breakfast offered was not worth the price.
Despite having a small number of guests, the breakfast options were limited to eggs, sausage, tocino, bread, rice, fruit slices, coffee, and juice. It took a long time for the staff to refill these items, and they weren’t even heated properly. To add to our frustration, my nephew, who is in grade 5, was charged as an adult because they don’t have a child rate.
The towels were also outdated, which contributed to the overall feeling of neglect in terms of maintenance.
On a positive note, the staff were welcoming and friendly, which was appreciated. The beach in front of the resort was beautiful, but it wasn't enough to make up for the lack of proper amenities and upkeep.
Overall, we left feeling that Microtel Hotel needs significant improvements to meet basic hospitality standards.

PPeter KunzlerBasic hotel at reasonable cost on Gabinete road. The Rovia hotel is quiet, has no restaurant, however, you will find plenty of local eateries in the Baran*** Bancao-bancao. About 600 metres from the fishing port. You can swim in the sea there.
Nobody told us:- Rovia hotel swimming facilities are best in the area, partially shaded by overhead screens. Adult pool great for practising technique and stamina. Kiddies pool bigger than most local hotel adult pools. Lots of local children pay to swim in the pools on weekends.
Air conditioning works fine, bathroom sink has no drain plug, shower is quite nice. Kettle in the hallway for coffee. Wi-Fi disappears during the night, though. No fridge in our room, but great balcony facing the morning sunrise. TV is average. Ideal for small families with many excursions. We booked a second stay of 11 days in February 2024.
