Wunderbar
GGastnutzerThe 4nights that u stayed in Kiao Beach was so relaxing and fun, especially Sir Jay taking care of us. THE FOOD WAS SUPERB, everyday we get to served fresh food right in front of us and we had the best view for sunset. The calming place is so soothing that u dont wanna leave yet. Totally recommend and would be back.
AAnastasiia_EvlashinaПрекрасный гэстхаус, лучше многих отелей, в которых мне довелось жить на Филиппинах. Чисто и уютно. Симпатичный дворик. Утром накормили вполне съедобным завтраком
LLisaLPWe stayed for five nights, booking one double room and one family room. Both rooms were sufficiently furnished, and there were tables outside that we made good use of during the day. We were also offered the use of a fridge in the common area, which we really appreciated. From what I understand, only the family rooms come with water heating.
The location is very good—tucked away in a safe, lively neighbourhood and within walking distance of both NCCC Mall and SM City Puerto Princesa Mall, where there are supermarkets and plenty of food options. We were also able to walk to several places of interest in the city, including the Boardwalk, Chinatown, the Heritage Centre, and the Immaculate Conception Cathedral. There’s a laundry just across the road that charges reasonable rates.
The hosts were the best part of the stay. They were family-oriented, warm, hospitable, accommodating, and very communicative. They helped organise tours at prices better than those offered on online platforms. We had a whale of a time at Honda Bay and the Underground River—both are must-experience attractions when visiting Palawan.
Highly recommended for travellers looking for a welcoming place, great hosts, and a convenient location.
PPrettyMamitaThe Pension House is newly opened and staffed with very friendly staff and owner. The rooms are suitable for groups, including a small sink and a mini kitchen outside, creating a homey atmosphere. My only concern is its location away from downtown, which could be inconvenient for business activities. I recommend upgrading the toilet facilities and replacing shower curtains with more permanent solutions.
GGastnutzerIt is smacked within a residential area. So you can soak yourself in it and experience living in a village. But, a 3 mins walk will lead you to the main road where you can find F&B outlets.
Nearest is 89 Cafe which serves good food. Another 500m there is a Pagetek food court which has food a super chill beer.
At the price, it is a good deal. They also have free transport to airport, but please talk to the friendly staff there in advanced.
VVanCitadel (the name of one of the owners) is probably the ”best for the money” mini-resort in Puerto Princesa! My room had a king bed, was comfortable and included satellite TV, a fridge and sink area. The grounds a pool are clean, neat and look great. The pool is amazing for a property size. Even though the Citadel is located 1.5km away from one of the main roads and the Robinson's Mall there are small food stores nearby for basic needs. It's easy to get a tricycle from the road near the property to just about anywhere in the Puerto area. Do ask one of the locals what the fare should be to the placey you want to go.
Francois and Citadel, the owners are very nice and helpful. You will enjoy your at the Citadel!
BONUS TIP: Just up the road (north) to the left is a food store and cafe on the right side of the road. Inside is a dental office run by Dr Joy Zapanta. She offers a full range of dental services. I got my teeth cleaned for about US$20. I could see dental tourism as a future business for Dr Joy. Enjoy your stay at the Citaldel and get all your dental work done!
EEricIt didn't appear to have breakfast but considering it was less than $8 a night I won't fault them for that. It was not that far from transportation under normal circumstances the first day I was there we had flooding in the provence so that was unique. It is sorta out of the way so that is either a plus or a minus. You are close to a convience store so it is easy to get water if you don't want to take a trike to Robinsons.
