When booking, we had shared all booking IDs as we were 4 couples with young kids and each had booked their own room. All IDs were shared with Ms. Priyanka. We clearly had asked if there was a wedding group, we will not book the rooms, but we were assured that there is no wedding group booking. We were even holding parallel reservation at another Hyatt hotel which we cancelled as Grand Hyatt was a preferred property. And then as soon as we landed we came to know that there was a wedding group at the property. As a family and leisure traveller, you do not wish to be barging into a wedding party when you want a quiet time. Then the check-in experience was messed up as rooms were not allotted together after relaying the information more than 45 days in advance. When rooms were allotted they gave a twin bed room instead of king bed. A basic no view room was allotted instead of bay view as was booked. The amount of time spent in changing the room took aways more than 3 hours of time on day of arrival and kids did not get time to go to the pool at all. They were disappointed as they could not go to the beach or the pool that evening. They did upgrade one room to a suite but in a group of 4 families it is not helpful as to pick who would stay in the suite, so the gesture wasnt very helpful. After getting in touch with Mr. Aditya Bhanwar (Director of Rooms) through a contact we were next day again shifted to another block which was supposed to be away from the wedding party but the wedding party was occupying area near the pool with loud music which was a bummer. Next day the Asst. ***ager Ms. Zuvaria still messed up on shifting process and when we had asked assistance on the restaurant, she again created confusion wasting over an hour without any reason. The feedback was relayed to Mr. Aditya and ***ager Mr. Gaurav. When rooms were shifted, they mixed up the rooms as well. The reception staff seemed so confused, it looked like they were only trying to handle the wedding group and that they were not at all bothered about the individual / leisure traveller. We have been to other bigger properties that handle groups much more effectively keeping leisure and group travellers distant, but things here werent very great. Only relief was the bar as we have some cocktails and bartender Aavi made us some good drinks.

Perfekte Lage. Nahe der Stadt Panjim, Restaurants und ******s. Das Hotel ist sehr schön. Großes Frühstücksbuffet und schöner Pool und Fitnessraum. Das Personal ist sehr professionell, aber es muss erwähnt werden, dass der große Service von Frontbüro-Mitarbeitern, die den Nachtwechsel arbeiten. Deevanshu könnte sein Name sein. Dank für das hohe Service- und Unterstützungsniveau, das er angeboten hat.

Mein Aufenthalt im Taj Cidad de Goa Horizon in Goa war eine außergewöhnliche Erfahrung, die meine Erwartungen weit übertroffen. Das Zimmer, das ich zugewiesen hatte, war nicht nur komfortabel, sondern auch ein sehr geräumiges Bad, das den allgemeinen Komfort und Luxus meines Aufenthalts verbessert. Die Ausstattung des Hotels war topnotch, und der Schwimmbad ist aufgrund seiner einladenden Atmosphäre und seines preisgebenden Zustands besonders hervorgehoben. Die Küchenerfahrung im Taj Cidad de Goa Horizon war ebenso beeindruckend. Die breite Palette von Frühstücksoptionen, die jeden Morgen zur Verfügung stand, war eine angenehme Möglichkeit, den Tag zu beginnen, zu essen mit einer Vielzahl von Geschmacks- und Präferenzen. Die Qualität der im Restaurant servierten Lebensmittel war ausgezeichnet, wobei jedes Gericht die hohen Küchenstandards des Hotels widerspiegelt. Einer der ruhigsten und angenehmesten Aspekte meines Aufenthalts war der ruhige private Strand, der den Hotelgästen zugänglich ist. Es bietet einen friedlichen Rückzug aus der Härte und Büste des Alltagslebens, die Momente der Ruhe und Entspannung unter der natürlichen Schönheit von Goa ermöglicht. - Ja.

Das Hotel ist sehr sauber, das Personal ist aufmerksam und freundlich. Der Fitnessraum ist sehr klein und hat wenig Ausrüstung. Ausgezeichnete Lage. Dennoch ist die tägliche Rate zu hoch für das, was das Hotel bietet. Dies ist wahrscheinlich, weil es ein touristisches Gebiet ist. Ich bat um ein Zimmer mit Blick auf den Strand und sie gab mir ein Zimmer im ersten Stock, wo Sie nichts sehen konnten.

Our stay was very comfortable and nice. I had my aged mother travelling with me. Riya at the front desk gave us a room near the lobby which required minimal walking. She was very attentive to my mother's need. Everyone at the hotel was kind and concerned. Gaurav in the dining area went out of his way to cater to our needs. When my mother was not eating, he asked her the reason and brought her probiotic drink for her indigestion. They gave us tables nearest to the buffet so that my mother didn't have to walk. The swimming instructor at the pool took care of my daughter when she was swimming. Only complaint is the room service - simple orders take upwards of 40-50 minutes. Tea was always cold. Overall a nice stay.

I stayed for five nights and paid 16,700 Indian Rupees, which is about 172 British Pounds. This means that I paid 34 Pounds per night. What did I get for 34 Pounds a night? Read below: “Hotel”?: It is NOT a hotel. Stop advertising it as a “hotel”. Reception: This is essentially the front house where the family that runs Garden Villa lives. You will not see anyone most of the time at the “reception” and will need to stand at the steps/entrance and look into the house expectantly and someone will come out and attend to you. That is reception for you. Garden: The “garden” is essentially a few patches of grass and a few average looking plants that grow nearly everywhere in Goa. If you are lucky, you will get a room that overlooks this “garden”. If you are not lucky, you will have a view overlooking a back street, or worse. Swimming Pool: Don’t be fooled by the swimming pool. It is a really small and shallow pool in open air – let us face it, Indians don’t have much of a swimming pool tradition/culture. The pool is about 10-15 meters from a very dusty and busy road. The pool is not covered so you can imagine dust, bird droppings, debris from trees, and heavens know what, fall into the pool. During my five-days stay, I did not see anyone cleaning it. I saw only once someone using it - a group of young Indian men having what looked like a bath. WiFi: Poor and intermittent. I would not say more. Room: Utterly utterly average room with a double bed, a table, a coat hanger, a TV (see below), a mirror, and small bucket as a dustbin (see photos). Absolutely nothing else. TV: NO FREE CHANNELS. TV was not connected to any network or cable in my room. I needed to ask the reception three times to come and connect it with cable, dish, or anything. They finally put a plug-in device (a kind or WiFi access point), which enabled the TV to receive Amazon Prime, Netflix, and some Indian channels. BUT you must pay for them. They are NOT free. Mattress and pillow: Utterly poor quality and old mattress and pillow, which hadn’t been well maintained and cleaned. The Garden Villa ***agement tried to cover the old mattress with a foam cover which was a little short and shrunk at the corners (see photos). Bathroom: Probably the worst bathroom you will get for 34 British Pounds a night. Toilet was old and rickety, paint was peeling off the walls and also off the rusty toilet door. Sink, taps, and mirror were looked uncleaned with signs of mould (or mold). Fridge: NO FRIDGE IN THE ROOM. Again, in most hotels you will find a fridge but not at Garden Villa. If you are in Goa, you cannot do without a fridge. It is very warm and hot throughout the year, and you will badly miss a fridge. But sadly rooms come with NO FRIDGE. Room service: You will need to ask the “reception” for someone to come around and clean the room. If you don’t ask, no-one is going to come around. Restaurant: No restaurant at Garden Villa. The food by Chef Ajinkya was excellent, there was variety, the dishes were pleasing to the eye and the taste was excellent. We also had the Company of Mr Moncy, Spa ***ager at the Mariotts, a perfect gentle*** and companion, humble and generous. A great experience indeed. 👌
