Booked a B&B as a 2 bed apar**ent for me and a business partner while travelling for work.
We got in late-ish and light was fading but had received a link to get a key. Great so far.
The address Google took us to on the street didn't really make sense so I checked the map, saw the pin and drove to that. Got there, parked, saw the key machine, typed in the code... no key. Tried a bunch of times... no key. Called a number another guest gave us who had similar problems, got through on the second try and turns out we were at the wrong property. Embarrassing.
Eventually got to the right place. It was now proper dark, one light came on when we drove up but that was it. The house map is drawn the wrong way around making it more confusing in the dark, we finally get in the door, still dark and no sensor lights, use phone lights to find light switches. The layout was confusing, we didn't know if we had one or two bedrooms but the "two bedroom apar**ent" we'd booked had 3 other bedroom doors. So, it's not a 2 bedroom apar**ent at all, it's a share house. And, another guest was staying the same time as us, on the same level. Odd.
All that aside.
Inside is ok enough, the layout is just weird. The TV in the lounge room is 6 feet off the ground with a tall cabinet under it. They expect you to pay for wifi (hello 2003, this is 2023 calling). Wifi is like electricity, its just expected free everywhere.
All in all, it's odd but ok if you know you're sharing.
