Il y a tout d’abord l’emplacement, idéal. On ne peut être plus près de l’embarcadère qui permet de rejoindre la corniche d’Assouan en à peine 5mn. La guest house est aussi à deux pas d’une petite épicerie, vraiment pratique et tout près de deux très bons restos : Nile Dream et King Jamaica. La maison a été rénovée très récemment, est très propre et très bien entretenue . La chambre et SdB sont fonctionnelles et la terrasse sur le toit bien agréable Mais il y a surtout les hôtes Yousra et Ahmed, aux petits soins pour leurs résidants et qui essaient toujours de vous aider. Un couple qui fait vraiment tout pour s’en sortir, dans une situation difficile. Yousra cuisine également d’excellents petits déjeuners nubiens. Ils sont vraiment adorables et le rapport qualité /prix excellent.

Wonderful experience! This place is the best place to stay when you are in Aswan if you like peace and quite and beautiful views. The location is magical right in front of Philae temple, You reach the hotel by taxi boat (check in and check out are free drive) You are far from the city center please keep this in mind! But for us this was perfect. we wanted a place to relax in a nice quiet environment to end our holiday in busy Egypt. THE STAFF All of the staff was very friendly and helpful. The service was great! The welcome hibiscus drink was a nice extra touch! THE HOTEL GROUNDS The hotel is situated on a private island in front of Philae temple. The buildings are build in a traditional way with respect for nature. We really loved the use of natural materials it gives an extra connection with the environment. The Vegetable garden is a beautoful oasis. they grow their own food to use in the restaurant. We also loved the cats and dogs (Rita and Anton) They have a private beach with river access and also kayaks. THE RESTAURANT The restaurant location is breathtaking, right in front of Philae temple. Its not only a beautiful place, the food is amazing to! And you can tell because of the large groups who visit the restaurant for lunch when they end their visit in the temple. We had lunch and diner in the restaurant and it was perfect! Very fresh and delicious and a lot of choice on the menu. Breakfast is also very good. At night you can watch the lightshow on the temple. THE ROOM The room is very basic but good. It is small but for us perfect. The bed is comfortable and the balcony beautiful with nile views and even the temple complex! The bathroom was very basic, the room floated while showering. There is no wifi in the room but that is absolute not a problem for us. TRANSFERS The taxi boat transfers were very good. we had no problems with our transportation to the city and the airport. They even arranged a boat for us at 3u30 in the morning because we had an early flight to Cairo. They also made us a breakfast box to take on the plane! Pros The hotel facilities were absolutely beautiful with an amazing view. Traditional Nubian style house. Every corner makes you want to capture the space. We had a rocky start but the hotel staff tried to redeem themselves. We lost an apple watch which the hotel helped us get back ASAP before we reached Luxor. We are grateful for this. Cons Awful communication and hospitality. We were the only guests in the entire resort because of low season but still received shitty service. The hotel is in a secluded place making it difficult to reach.It’s on top of a mountain on a dusty rocky road. The hotel offers a tuktuk. We did our research prior and contacted the hotel to arrange getting to the hotel from the village and check in since we knew we’d land in the AMs. We were ignored. We arrived at the village meeting point at 1:45 but only ended up getting to our rooms around 3:50am because reaching the hotel via call and WhatsApp was so difficult. The staff had no sense of urgency. We were frustrated and anxious in this wellness resort. Our taxi driver refused to take us up the mountain and the tuktuk refused to take us because of our many bags (which is understandable). I’m very disappointed in the service and I know the staff has lots of potential to improve on their service delivery. The hotel needs to be more cognisant of their customer service and guests hospitality. Staying here was stressful. Recommended if you want aesthetic vibes,a beautiful picturesque hotel with good breakfast. Don’t recommend if you prioritise great guest services, comfortability and peace.

Wir reservierten Villa Misk wegen der schönen Aussicht über die Boote und Philae Tempel in der Entfernung. Die Villa ist leicht aus der Stadt, was es sehr ruhig und Tee auf der Terrasse über das Wasser ist nur wunderbar. Die Gastfreundschaft hier ist zweit bis niemand. Ahmed und seine Familie gingen oben und darüber hinaus, um unseren Aufenthalt in Aswan so gut wie möglich zu machen. Sie waren sehr auf unsere frühe Ein- und Auscheck sehr zugegen. Ahmed organisierte nicht nur einen Besuch in Abu Simbel für uns aus Aswan, er organisierte auch einen Fahrer für uns in Luxor sehr nett. Unsere besten Erinnerungen in Ägypten sind dank Ahmeds Freundlichkeit und Fachwissen. Sicherlich buchen Sie diesen Ort - es ist ein Geschirr.

The place was amazing. It was like a cozy family house. The rooms have shared bathrooms but they are very clean. The rooms have strong wifi signal. The best part of our stay was the Nubian dinner followed by a jamming session of traditional Nubian music with hot piping jabana coffee. It was so soothing to our souls. Mr.bassam was so helpful and conversations with him were very enriching. The place is also very near to public ferry service. But the only trouble we had was reaching the place by road. So, booking private tours to abu simbel or elsewhere will cost little more as we have to be transported to the other bank early in the morning. Even direct pickups from this location will be charged more. But the extra money is worth the stay in this place as it is away from the east bank hustle.
