Fundy Rocks Motel

It's a two star motel and that's what you get. It is priced appropriately but it didn't feel very clean and the rooms are damp. As per the website, there are no refunds for a cancellation. Would not stay here again.

With *******.ca, I originally booked 4 consecutive nights at Fundy Rocks Motel, (Check-in Aug. 21, 2023 & Check-out Aug. 25, 2023). Realizing I was getting close to a late check-in, I called the Motel in advance, prior to arriving. The night manager gave me the room number and said the room was left unlocked with the key inside. Upon arrival, my wife went inside our room first. She came out immediately, telling me that I would not appreciate the air quality and overall cleanliness of the room. I entered the room to be aggressed with, very stale, musty and animal urine smells. After quick inspection, the bathroom exhaust fan didn’t work. There were large spider webs and a spider, on the bathroom ceiling. The brown towels were all musty. The carpet was torn in places and had years of dirt and stain with white powder thrown in some corners, either to mask the animal urine smells or to discourage ants. The bed linen was stained yellow. We called the night manager/front desk immediately. He offered us to look at another vacant room, which was left unlocked. The room, a few doors away, smelt much the same. The only plus was that the bathroom exhaust fan worked. We decided to stay with the room we were given because it was getting late to move our belongings. I asked the night manager about cancelling the rest of our stay after the night and he insisted that I wound have to deal with ******* because the reservation was made through them. I gave up that evening trying to get through

No staff available! WiFi & phone not available & no one to fix until after 3 pm the next day. Room itself was ok but someone should be available for guest's concerns.

Exactly what I expected from a budget motel. People comment that it is in need of some TLC. Well yes it does, but I have never stayed in a budget motel that didn't. The staff are super friendly and the beds were comfortable.

The location is excellent and the staff are great. The property has insufficient WIFI - we were told our room was too far away to expect consistent WIFI - yet we were in the main building. Also they list laundry facilities yet we were told that was only if their staff wasn’t using it and only between 7:30-9:30 am. If they cannot provide these services they should not list them.

We were travelling for the day and decided to stay here. Room was perfect, staff were friendly, and reasonable for the price. Would stay here again.

We loved the restaurant , the hummingbirds, the employees were so very friendly and accommodating. The only thing we did not like was the moldy musty smell in the room and on the towels.

The service is amazing here, the staff are so friendly! The food in the restaurant is also very tasty and hot! The fresh baked goods are fantastic, especially the biscuits! This motel is close to Hopewell Rocks Park and lots of lovely little shops in Edgetts Landing and Hillsborough! But our room smelled like cat pee which was very disappointing and gross. The bed was way too firm, and the sofa is outdated and getting kinda sad looking (worn), you sink into it when you sat on it. The whole place needs an update as things are starting to look a little disheveled outside and inside.

The location is in a beautiful spot and close to some amazing sites. Although they did charge us twice for only 1 nights stay, I am sure a phone call will fix the situation.
