AVOID AT ALL COSTS! At first everything seemed ok. Check in was fine and we were shown to a room that looked adequate and because we were so tired we settled for it. We were then asked if we wanted to stay in a “deluxe room”, which was exactly the same apart from it had a slightly bigger bathroom which somehow made it 300 rupees more expensive. I decided to see if I could get the same price as the original room we were shown and eventually the manager agreed. When arriving back later that night after visiting the Taj Mahal, we were expecting to have a nice bath, only to find that the bath had a huge crack in it and the water works were not clean. My girlfriend said she would just have a shower instead but of course the shower didn’t work either. The taps and shower head were covered in lime scale and when I went to enquire at reception about it, they came and had a quick fiddle with it until some rusty water dripped out and asked if we were ok with that. I had to repeatedly ask to change rooms before they finally agreed - but we were just taken back to the original room we were shown at check in which was even worse than the “deluxe room”. The bath in the second room was covered in mud and the disgusting limescale problem was present once again. The shower sort of worked but sprayed all over the bathroom and there was no hot water. Needless to say the bath was unusable due to the filth. It seemed to me that the staff found our frustrations amusing as they laughed to each other whilst watching us switch rooms. On top of this, in the second room we were given the kettle did not work, the side lamps were broken and the fuses for the tv looked so unsafe that I didn’t even bother trying to turn it on. The beds were big but very rigid and the air conditioning clearly did not work properly as it said the temperature was 16 degrees however neither of us could sleep due to being so hot. It soon became clear that we were the only ones staying at the hotel, and no one had stayed in it for months. In the morning the staff continued to be rude and unapologetic as I insisted I would not pay the full price which was a hefty 2500 rupees for one night (£25). On top of this, the manager was nowhere to be seen. We had no help checking out with all our bags. Instead the staff members once again laughed at us as they watched us leave the dirty room. The laughing continued as they stood outside the hotel watching us leave. DO NOT STAY HERE!!
