Lonavala & Khandala have always seemed over crowded on weekends, and not being a fan of exotic sprawling typical Indian resorts like The Duke's & Fariyas, our visit to this popular Mumbai hill stn has been just in passing with stopovers for lunch at some nice eateries of hotels/resorts. This time in Feb, after a lovely glamping stay in Pawna, as we stopped by for lunch, we decided to stay back. On a Saturday it's difficult to get rooms in any descent place & luckily The Bark had one. I v always been curious about this place calling itself an art hotel, so it was an added bonus for me. Far away from the popular hotel zones, down a road, this hotel cum house is by a river/stream and immaculately maintained by its owner who is a friendly charming lady & an avid traveler and collector of art. And a dog lover too. The place is littered with arty objects & paintings. Is spacious, airy with a laid back attitude, polite staff and a library. The pool table unfortunately is no good, thanx to non-players trying to have fun with the balls all day. The pool & lawn & gazebo are the highlight here. One can just sit and watch numerous birds come and go. Being off the touristy zones, its unusually quiet and in the midst of old residential areas of Lonavala, which are quaint and peaceful. They have a nice buffet spread for breakfast, and their ala-carte menu is also quite good, although a bit pricey i thought. The owner has plans to start an Art Cafe soon, and that wud b lovely. Their basic rooms are quiet small but beautifully done and very well maintained. The rooms with balconies are very nice & given a choice i wud definitely stay in those. The suites are also spacious. And i personally felt it was great value for money, unlike the Dukes and Fariyas which have countless rooms and charge top dollar. If you are fond of Lonavala, stay here once atleast to know the difference from other hotels there.

Es ist ein wirklich anständiges Hotel an den Rand von Lonavla. Der Blick vom Hotelbalkon war exquisit. Auf einer Seite war der große Lohgad direkt vor Ihnen und die lussige Grünlandschaft und Frieden rund um. Ich würde gerne dort wieder auf Aufenthalt wohnen. Es war ruhig und selbst wenn es der Spitze des Sommers waren wir auf die Geräusche der Vögel schwingen und der Schnee über die Hügel. Entfernen vom besetzten Verkehr und Bewegung von Lonavla.

Wir hatten keine Buchungen für das Neue Jahr gemacht und wollten eine friedliche Getaway näher zu Mumbai. Letzte Minute Buchungen und wir hatten unsere Erwartungen in der Kontrolle, und das ist, als wir auf NOSTRAVILA gekommen sind. Wir sprachen mit ihnen und konnten glücklich die Courtyard Villa mit einem privaten Pool bekommen. Da es eine letzte Minute Buchung war, waren die Preise etwas hoch, aber es war gut, wie wir erwartet hatten, es ist Neujahre! Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt in Nostravila. Die Villa war komfortabel, das Personal war sehr freundlich und das Essen war wunderschön! Der einzige Grund, den ich 4 Sterne und nicht 5 gab, ist aus 2 Gründen: 1. ) Das Wasser im Pool war zu kalt und deshalb konnten wir es nicht verwenden. Es wird groß sein, wenn das Resort entweder warmes Wasser im Pool im Winter oder andernfalls Temperaturkontrolle bietet. 2.) Das warme Wasser im Badezimmer war nicht konsistent. Wir beschwerte uns über sie und die Hausbetreuung versuchten, das gleiche zu korrigieren, aber das Problem blieb an und wir genossen nicht wirklich die Dusche aufgrund der uneinheitlichen Lieferung von heißem Wasser. Das Resort hatte auch für ein neues Jahr ein Buffet + unbegrenzte Getränke arrangiert und wir hatten eine Sehr schöne Zeit. Die Besitzer waren anwesend und sie interagierten persönlich mit den Gästen und waren weich gesprochen und ödmjuk, was immer ein warmes Zeichen ist. Insgesamt hatten wir einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt und wir werden sicher wieder nach Nostravila zurückkehren in der Zukunft.

1)Room view was good.Wash room was clean.But room should have been liitte bigger size. 2) Food was ok but very limited varities. 3)Booked the property as it has a swimming pool.But the pool water was dirty so could not use on the first day .Reported the same to the Manager, he arranged to clean it by 2nd day evening only,which was not proper time to swim.So could not used the pool facility which was our prime attraction in this hot summer.Next day we checked out. City Inn is a very nice hotel in Baramati. It is a little away from the main road, so a little away from the city buzz. The hotel has a good parking area, with nice lounge. People in City Inn are very courteous and service-oriented. I spoke to Somnath ji at the reception. He has booked 2 rooms for us without any hassles. There are 2 restaurants - out of which Street cafe is an open air restaurant, especially great for dinner. They serve delicious sandwiches, chat, Mastani, south Indian dishes, pizzas, etc. The service is really good and quick. One more speciality of the hotel is that they have a bake and cake shop. All the bakery items served and sold are prepared by home chef at City Inn. It is great to have fresh breads and cakes for breakfast. Overall, this is a great place to stay when in Baramati.

At the reception The Boys Akshay and Ganesh are very helpful and attentive. The food quality and quantity is good and the cook Rahul is always there to attend and give you delicious food apart from the menu. We went for a one day break..and it was totally worth..the stay food is awesome.. awesome view is the cherry on the top.. The only negative point is it has a shared balcony and adjacent room is just a wall away....so if you might get into akward situations if either of the family is just not in mood to socialise or may be needs privacy.. In our case I think we enjoyed but the family next doors was bounded to the room and had to compromise on the balcony!!

Guter Platz, sauberes Zimmer.. Grundausstattung (nur Seifen und Handtücher) . Es war ok für den Preis und die letzte Minute Buchung. Große Lage, wirklich angenehm und sauber Zimmer, die Speisesaal war geräumig, aber ein wenig lustig. Das Ding, das hier einen guten Ort zum Aufenthalt macht, ist Lage. Auch das Personal war hilfreich und freundlich mit ihrer Zeit und Beratung. Die Nahrung war gut aus der nordischen und südlichen indischen Küche ausgebreitet.

Schon der Empfang am ersten Tag war sehr herzlich und professionell, die Angestellten sind überaus freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Hotel ist sehr gut gepflegt und auch sehr sauber, die Zimmer entsprechen dem Marriott Standart. Ich hatte Zugang zur Executive Lounge, die Betreuerin Kamal hat sich sehr um das Wohlbefinden der Gäste bemüht, die Auswahl an Getränken und am Essen entsprechen dem Standart. Ich habe mich im Hotel wohlgefühlt.

Hausbewahrung ist schrecklich keine Zimmerreinigung richtig, Zimmer elektrische Schalter Zustand ist schrecklich, nicht mit täglichen Handtüchern und Wasserflasche wir brauchen alles zu verlangen, sie haben nicht Kaffee und Tee in dem Zimmer nur am ersten Tag haben sie hinzugefügt, aber einmal Es ist über, ich denke, als kein Haus, das kommt, um es zu füllen, zu sauberen Zimmer und Ihr Bett. Wir sollten nicht erwarten, dass ein solcher Service vom Hotel nicht bevorzugen, hier wieder zu bleiben, für frühe Eincheckung auch sie mir einen halben Tag Preis. Nicht empfohlen.

Booked the property for our wedding day. The venue is really well maintained, and classy. The staff absolutely delightful, they catered to every one of our needs right from day of the booking to the day of the event. They were extremely accomodating of our needs and delivered on everything with the highest perfection. The food was really good and everything was reasonably priced according to the quality. Special mention to Sandip, manager at Marriott who was available at any time of day to help us. And he did it with a smile! Would definitely recommend any couple to check out this venue for the wedding, you will not be disappointed!
