I had a lovely stay at this hotel. I hesitated between 4 and 5 stars, bust rest assured that if I had occasion to be back in Grenoble I’d happily stay here again. The good: The staff was absolutely lovely! Very nice, friendly, and helpful. I also liked the size of my room. I booked the largest room and was blown away by the amount of space! I especially loved the large walkout balcony and amazing views if the neighboring Parc Mistrel and surrounding mountains. The bed was reasonably comfortable, and I especially appreciated the large bathroom that was stocked with Clarins products. The living/dining area was great for entertaining and I loved relaxing in the loungers watching the TV at night before bed. I also appreciated all of the 1968 Olympic decor. Location was also nice as we were no more than a lovely 15 minute walk from the gare, tourist sites, and there was a grocery store right around the corner. The not so good: The hotel is showing its age and is in need of a remodel. It’s been a while since I’ve stayed in a hotel where an actual key is required to open the door. The biggest issue I faced was the WiFi. On the day I arrived, the WiFi would only reliably connect from the living/dining room; if I were in the bedroom area it would connect. By around the last two days, the WiFi was completely broken and wouldn’t reliably connect anywhere in the room. This was not a huge problem as I did not NEED WiFi but the last night we were there we couldn’t even connect the TV to the WiFi (so no Netflix, YouTube, etc.). I did not partake in any of the food options offered by the hotel even though breakfast was included in my rate.

Ich bestellte dies, weil es in der Nähe des Hauses eines Freundes war und insgesamt war es gut. Das Zimmer hat die normale Größe in Europa und ist komplett ausgestattet. Das Servicepersonal ist freundlich und höflich und wird das nächste Mal übernachten.

Das neue dekorierte Hotel, die Küche ist sehr komplett, die Backofen, die Waschmaschine usw. sollten vollständig sein. Das Bad und die Wäsche sind in zwei Regionen unterteilt, ohne sich stören zu müssen. Unterhalb der Blumengeschäfte, Bars und Restaurants. Im Gegenteil des Hotels ist die Familie Leo Fu sehr bequem.

Überlegene Lage. Das Hotel verfügt über gute Einrichtungen. Vor dem Tor ist der Fluss. Es ist auch sicher. Ich laufe morgens viel. Daneben befindet sich ein neues Einkaufszentrum. Später stellte ich fest, dass es viele Nudeln zu essen gibt. Sie können die Landschaft auch draußen sehen. Sehr gut.

The Residhome Appart Hotel at the “Caserne de Bonne” in Grenoble was one of my classics in the pre-COVID era, and I came back to it recently in the context of a business trip to Grenoble. I was very happy to see that the excellent service, rooms and facilities are still in order. Obviously, we should not forget the amazing location of this hotel, right in the centre of Grenoble (with thus a bunch of shops and restaurants around). I therefore recommend it to anyone interested in a short visit to Grenoble. The room was very nice and clean, and large enough so that I could also work from it and prepare some refreshments in the kitchen space. My room only had a ceiling window, but I was not there for the view so that it was totally fine with me (although this may incommode some). Very importantly, the bed was very comfortable and I slept like a baby. In my reservation, breakfast was included, and I must say that it is a bit better when compared with other hotels of the same category in the Rhone-Alpes region (all basics are there, including in particular a great selection of cheese). Finally, the personnel of the hotel are friendly and always helpful.

Wir haben zwei Nächte in diesem Aparthotel, als wir von den Alpen Les Deux zurückkehren, vor dem Abflug von Grenoble verblieben. Dieses Aparthotel befindet sich auf der westlichen Seite des Trennbahnhofs von Grenoble (aber Grenoble ist klein genug, um zu Fuß zu gehen). Das Apartment war eigentlich ziemlich angenehm. Wir waren in einer Gruppe von sechs und wurden eine Wohnung mit zwei Schlafzimmern und einem Sofabett im Wohnzimmer gegeben. Die Wohnung ist mit einer kleinen Küche, Toilette und einem Badezimmer komplett. Alles war bei der Ankunft sauber, aber ein Toilette und ein Badezimmer könnte zu viel für sechs Personen sein. Es hat das Haus-gefühl für uns und wir mögen den Ort. Das Aparthotel hat auch Fitnesseinrichtungen, aber wir haben es nicht verwendet. Es gibt auch ein Restaurant, das Frühstück serviert, aber wir haben es nicht. Von dem Hotel können Sie (sicher) zu dem Stadtzentrum (wo die meisten Geschäfte und Restaurants sind) gelegen. Das Hotel ist für diejenigen, die in der Nähe des Bahnhofs/Busbahnhofs bleiben wollen, aber gleichzeitig in der Lage, zum Stadtzentrum zu gehen. Ich habe es über die ALL-Website reserviert und es war eigentlich billiger als das Ibis Styles Hotel in der Nähe, aber mit größerem Raum.

In eine Fußgängerstraße im Grenobler Zentrum liegt das Hotel. Zunächst muss man einen Aufzug nehmen, der in die 1. Etage zur Rezeption fährt. Von dort aus kommt man zu anderen Aufzügen, die in die Zimmeretagen fahren. Das Personal ist nett reserviert. Vor allen die Damen haben irgendwie einen Blick drauf der signalisiert: bitte nicht so kompliziert fragen. Wir bekommen ein Zimmer im 2. Stock. Beim Aussteigen aus dem Fahrstuhl schlägt uns ein penetrant süßer Duft entgegen, der wohl die hauseigene Parfümierung sein soll. Das Zimmer ist klein und sieht aus, als ob es seit den 80er jahren nicht renoviert wurde. Braun melierter Boden, aprikotfarbene Wände mit Stich ins Braune. Das Highlight ist ein grünes, scheinbar ebenfalls aus den 80ern stammendes, Waschbecken im weißen Bad. An dem Miniaturfenster und der Zimmertür sind Sicherheitsriegel. Der Ausblick ist das Haus gegenüber (mit Blick in eine Zahnarztpraxis) und, wenn man etwas dichter an das Fenster tritt: die Abzugsanlage des Hotels. In unserer Zimmertür befand sich unten ein Loch. Das Zimmer war sauber, das Bett bequem. Die Person, die rechts schläft, muss beim Aufstehen aufpassen, da man direkt die Zimmerwand vor sich hat, wenn man steht und dann muss man seitwärts ans Fußende gehen. Die Klimaanlage lief die ganze Nacht, hat aber nicht gekühlt. Der Frühstücksraum erinnert an eine Kantine und ist extrem ungemütlich. Aus dem Kaffeeautomat, an dem man sich bedient, läft nach jeder Tasse Kaffee hinten Wasser in einen dreckigen Eimer. Fazit: nicht noch einmal.

Malgré une ville peu attrayante digne d’un lugubre film d’auteur… Nous avons pris 3 chambres pour 6 et n’avons pas été déçu par ce lieu sans prétention. Bien que la devanture ne laisse rien présager de bon, l’hôtel est fort plaisant. Un petit déjeuner varié et bien remplie qui plaira à toute la famille, des chambre confortables et propres et un personnel très agréable. Le garage est un plus quand on connaît la ville et ses environ.. Des restaurants sont faciles d’accès ,étant proche de la gare, ainsi que plusieurs commerces. Nous n’y sommes restés que peu de temps mais l’expérience dans cet établissement nous a ravi.

I don’t normally write reviews but I am very grateful to the staff (owners?) Of this hotel as I arrived in quite a stressful state (a long story to do with the Tour de France in a broken down van). They made me feel most welcome and did everything they could to put me at ease. I stayed one day and was a stress monkey throughout which must’ve been quite annoying to them but they went out of their way to help me (they let me stay and sort out my plans even though the hotel was closing for that weekend) and were genuinely sympathetic to my plight. They are warm and genuinely nice people. I hope to stay when I can relax and enjoy it because it’s a lovely hotel.

Zuvor erwähnte Parkbedenken - Nachrichten für mich. Ich fuhr aus England in meinem (sehr wertvollen) BMW, parkierte draußen. Keine Probleme überhaupt. Ich brauchte ein Grundzimmer für ein paar Nächte. Aufgrund der Covid-Regeln konnte das Zimmer nicht gereinigt werden, so dass ich es gepflegt. Das ist ein Problem? Das Frühstück in einem Ladetüchertasche war nichts besonderes, aber ausreichend. Andere Mahlzeiten in den Vercors, oder Abendessen im Zimmer: Nahrung gekauft gerade unten auf der Straße in Lidl. Nicht mein erstes B%B Hotel und es wird nicht mein letztes sein.

Das Hotel ist gut, sauber. Das Personal ist freundlich. Leider wurde der Eindruck durch einen kleinen Vorfall (Verweigerung der Siedlung) geschwächt, als es herauskam, dass die Vorauszahlung, die wir gemacht haben, nicht in das Hotel eintrat. Zur Ehre des Hotelpersonals haben sie zusammen mit dem Kundenservice trip.com das Problem schnell gelöst. Das Hotel ist jedoch etwas weit vom Zentrum entfernt, aber es war kein großes Problem, weil wir mit dem Zug zum Zentrum fahren konnten. Das Frühstück ist typisch französisch, sehr lecker.

The hotel is located right beside the Grenoble train station in what could be considered as a business district. Surrounding the hotel are a range of offices such as the World Trade Centre and the School of Management. The main centre or more touristic area is a pleasant 10-15 stroll away or indeed you can take the tram. There are a few restaurants and convenience stores located within 5 minute walk. The entrance to the hotel is a little unassuming However upon entry you are greeted with a modern lobby. There is a nice seating area for meeting or enjoying a drink from the bar. This then expands to a restaurant area which gets good reviews and then further to the breakfast area. The fixtures and fittings are to a high standard and have a semi luxurious feel. The check-in was professional however a wait was needed until the room was ready even though it was already 2pm. The room was quite a contrast to the modern plush interior of the lobby. It felt a little dated and showed the signs of aging. The carpet and sofa stained, the curtains ripped, the table edging peeling. The decor of the room appeared a little drab. The room was a privilege room and was spacious with a large double bed (two singles zipped) sofa, desk, chair and lounge chair. It was equipped with a mini bar with complimentary drinks and a coffee pod machine (limescale in the water tank) and large screen TV. The bathroom was split into a separate shower and WC - handy for families I'm sure but not hygienic to have two doors between the toilet and sink. The worst element of this room was that it was located opposite the lift. The lift chimed not only when it landed on that floor, but also it seemed everytime it was used, that could only account for it chiming at least twice a minute in peak times and was loud enough for me to try and put pillows at the door to soundproof it somewhat. The room also didn't get cleaned in the three day stay when I left it empty each morning. Upon return after lunch I requested from the cleaner to at least replenish the tea/coffee but she never returned. Overall, this is a pleasant hotel and good value for money. However my opinion is that it is not up to the standard of other 4 star Novotels in France.

The room we stayed in was simple, clean and comfortable, although it was inconvenient that the space between the desk and bed was too small to pass through when sitting on a chair. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful and were happy to accommodate our requests, which was good. The car parking was next to the hotel and very convenient, with direct access in and out of the hotel. The breakfast was also delicious, with scrambled eggs and grilled bacon, which was appreciated by the tourists and business travellers from other countries. If I have the opportunity to come to Grenoble again, I would stay here again.

Überlegene Lage. Das Hotel verfügt über gute Einrichtungen. Vor dem Tor ist der Fluss. Es ist auch sicher. Ich laufe morgens viel. Daneben befindet sich ein neues Einkaufszentrum. Später stellte ich fest, dass es viele Nudeln zu essen gibt. Sie können die Landschaft auch draußen sehen. Sehr gut.

Bien situé au centre de grenoble , personnel à l’accueil très serviable mais chambres totalement dépassé et manque de rigueur dans le management : en arrivant par 2 fois on m’a attribué une chambre qui empestait la cigarette avec la fenêtre grande ouverte donc une température de 8C. Pas de café disponible dans les chambres. Pas assez de prises disponibles . A moderniser d’urgence avec plus de contrôles de l’entretien des chambres

My usual hotel was fully booked so i was offered the Ibis Syles as an alternative, it was approx 5 mins walk from the station and was easy to find. Check inn was easy and quick, my room was on the 1st floor. The room was compact but ok for a short stay and was clean and tidy., downside is the room has no safe to store your valuables if needed. The area is ok and is on the main tram and bus route and a short walk to the old town area. Handy tip next door is a supermarket handy for drinks and snacks. My sleep was good and very quiet and a good air conditioning unit to keep you cool. Breakfast is a simple offer, breads and some meats with tea & coffee. If my normal Hotel is not available in the future then i would be ok staying here again.

The location is very convenient for my business trip and only 10 mins from the centre by tram. Covid rules mean that, currently, the room is not serviced each day, so tea, coffee & cups are not replaced. Rooms and general decor are a little tired, but clean and comfortable. Parking space is not guaranteed, so I was luck to arrive early enough to find a space. Staff are all very helpful and friendly. I will continue to stay here on future trips.

Jederzeit gerne wieder buchen. Parkmöglichkeiten direkt vor dem Hotel. Zimmer war klimatisiert bei der Ankunft. Die Matratzen waren sehr gut. Super geschlafen Einfach zu finden. Tolle Restaurants in unmittelbarer Umgebung.

Wir haben als zwei Freunde im Hôtel d'Angleterre übernachtet. Das Hotel ist direkt im sogenannten Hyper-Centre (Stadtzentrum) gelegen, kann aber trotz der ”Autofeindlichkeit” in dieser grün regierten Stadt problemlos erreicht werden (u.a. auch mit Tramway). Verwunderlich: um den Hoteliers zu helfen, buche ich eigentlich immer lieber bei denen direkt, aber hier war die Hotelrate teurer als via booking.com, also haben wir doch das Internet genommen. Sehr freundlicher Empfang und unkomplizierter Check-In. Das Hotel hat drei verdiente Sterne, es war wohl früher auch mal beliebte Absteige für kleinere ”Stars”. Es ist ein typisches Hotel für Frankreich, das ein bißchen in die Jahre gekommen ist. Allerdings nach wie vor sehr sauber und alles funktionierte. Unser Zimmer war recht klein, getrenntes Bad und Toilette. Schlafkomfort gut. Frühstücksbüffet haben wir nicht getestet, es zählt aber wohl zu den besseren in Grenoble.

Deux personnes à l'accueil très disponibles ( je m'étais perdue dans le nouveau bâtiment et on est venu me chercher malgré une pluie diluvienne ) et compétentes. Une chambre très propre , au calme et l'hôtel idéalement placé pour une formation au lycée Mounier.
