Wir waren auf unserer Gardenroute Reise auch in diesem Hotel. Das Hotel hat eine sehr schöne Lage, vor allem bei schönem Wetter ist es wirklich sehr schöne. Die einzelnen Villen sind sehr idyllisch gelegen und sind auch sehr sauber und gut eingerichtet. Das einzige, was uns nicht gefallen hat, war das Restaurant und auch das Frühstück. Wir fanden es für Südafrika eher enttäuschend. Wir hatten viele Restaurants aus unserer Reise, aber dieses hat uns nicht geschmeckt. Evtl. war es auch weil es in der Nebensaison war, wir wissen es nicht.

Wir haben eine Nacht in dieser Unterkunft übernachtet. Wir wählten sie aufgrund der guten Bewertungen und aufgrund der Möglichkeit ein Familienzimmer zu buchen. Die Eigentümerin hat uns nett empfangen und aufs Zimmer geführt. Das Zimmer ist sauber gewesen und geräumig genug für - in unserem Fall - 3 Personen samt Gepäck. Das Badezimmer ist auch in sehr gutem Zustand gewesen, die Dusche hat einen Wasserdruck wie ein Hochdruckreiniger ;-). Im Frühstücksraum gibt es ein kleines Buffet für's Kontinentale Frühstück. Gekochte Speisen (Eier, Champignons, Speck, Tomaten...) bereitet das Personal auf Wunsch zu. Ebenfalls gibt es eine Honesty Bar für Getränke, die man nimmt und in eine Liste einträgt und bei Abreise bezahlt. Unser Zimmer war im 1. Stock - es gibt keinen Lift somit muss man die Koffer die Treppen hochschleppen (als Hinweis, wenn jemand kein Koffer schleppen möchte/kann). Der Tsitsikamma Nationalpark ist nur wenige Minuten entfernt, die Gegend würde ich als sehr Sicher beschreiben und es gibt genügend Restaurants die zu Fuß erreichbar sind.

I usually only book four star rated accommodation but wanted to be very close to Storms River Mouth and decided to book at Andelomi Forest Lodge for one night. When I called to ask whether we can put our cooler box in the room prior to check-in I was assured that it will be no problem. On arrival I was surprised with the size of the room. Our room was modern with a little seating area facing a stream. The bathroom was spacious and spotless. The room had a coffee/tea station but no fridge. The design of the room and the small touches showed that the owners took the requirements of guests into consideration when they built the rooms. There are also some little extras like tissues etc. which one does not expect at this price range. Staying at Storms River Village allowed us to go back to Tsitsikamma National Park the next day to do the Waterfall Hike after completing the Kayak and Lilo adventure the day before. We had breakfast at the property the next morning. We chose to sit outside facing the garden while enjoying our breakfast. We thought it would be a buffet breakfast but we could order eggs and we were served fresh fruit - it was beautifully presented. I dealt with Brittany but the entire team seem to take pride in serving guests at this establishment. I won't hesitate to stay at Andelomi Forest Lodge again in the future.

It is the second time we have visited the inn. Once again we enjoyed the stay . The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had dinner at the pub, great service and great food . Our room was clean and very comfortable. At breakfast the staff were very attentive and the buffet was excellent. Will definitely visit again.

Super super nice hostel, with amazing services and facilities!!! The staff there provided great and helpful tips and assistance on the planning of exploring the city, and the bar next to the campfire is another level. The swimming pool and hot tub are clean and comfy too. Staying at the 14-mixed bedroom but the bathrooms and beds are really clean. Glad to stay at Tube n Axe and would definitely go back again!!

This was one of the best places we have ever stayed in. From the moment we arrived until we left we had the most fantastic and amazing time. The people who work here are very friendly and efficient, they could not have been any more helpful. Our guide Werner was first class, he really made our stay. He is so knowledgeable and enthusiastic and we learnt so much and saw so many animals and birds. The watering hole in front of the main residence is a highlight and you can sit here for hours watching the ever changing animal scenery. Every meal we had was delicious, thanks to the chef. The “tents” are very spacious and comfortable with a lovely outdoor seating area for more animal spotting. Nothing is too much trouble for those who work here and we are already thinking about a return visit. Diolch yn fawr iawn. Thank you very much to everyone at Gorah.

The Ibis Lounge Restaurant is highly recommended for anyone who appreciates a different food experience. We will certainly return!

We booked 3 nights in unit 20 of Seals Backpackers. This unit was comfortable enough for 2 people, but will be very crammed for a family of 4 for longer stays. The first night there was a lot of noise from the adjacent unit 21 as the rooms are not sufficiently sound proof. We could clearly hear conversations and the television throughout the entire night. The next day when we mentioned this to the reception staff, they were very understanding and accommodating. They upgraded us to a different apartment in the resort (room 34). This was an amazing gesture as the unit was much more roomy, better equipped, furnished and more peaceful. We are forever grateful for the professionalism and helpfulness of the staff in this regard. The pizza at Full Stop Cafe is incredible. Overall, very good value for money considering the location and highly recommended.

Die Zimmer sind durchschnittlich. Die Reinigungsmittel sind offensichtlich nur um alles sauber - extrem staubig unter dem Bett. Das Zimmer war nicht vollständig eingerichtet, als ich ankam. Ich würde das Zimmer nicht als Selbstverpflegung bezeichnen, da es nur eine Mikrowelle für Heizung gibt. Das Kühlschrank ist alles gefroren. Obwohl ich das Frühstück um 7:30 Uhr beantragt habe, als mein Shuttle zur Konferenz, die ich beiwohnte, mich um diese Zeit aufgezogen hat, hatte ich nie Frühstück. Am ersten Morgen kam der Küchenpersonal erst um 7:45 Uhr an und um 7:50 kam mein Shuttle um ein zweites Mal, um mich aufzuholen (das erste Mal war er da, um mich aufzuholen, der Vorleiter sagte ihm, dass er mich nicht anrufen konnte, weil er nicht finden könnte). Ich und dass alle Gäste schliefen ... Obwohl ich seit 5:45 Uhr wach war. Am zweiten Morgen hatten wir ein ähnliches Szenario. Ich werde diesen Ort nicht empfehlen.

This is not the first time we have stayed at Rietjiesbos and it will not be the last. It is a lovely place to stay. Very clean, neat, tidy, large rooms well equipped with lovely linen and towels. The small kitchen area has everything you need for your stay. The owners Valerie and Wilfred are very friendly and go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. The area is very safe and there is safe parking inside the property. I have no hesitation in recommending this lovely establishment. You will not be disappointed.

Wow, where to start. We were kindly greeted by Janine at 8 pm accommodating us for a late check in. She responded promptly on WhatsApp and on arrival upgraded us to the best room! Eine grandiose Erfahrung! Aus dem Alltagsstress und einer langen Anreise innerhalb von wenigen Minuten geerdet worden! Neben der unglaublichen Aussicht und dem Service blicken wir auf eine unbeschreibliche Herzlichkeit und Freude durch ALLE! Mitarbeitenden zurück! Nachdem wir lediglich einige Minuten zu spät für die erste Game Tour kamen, hat man uns mit einer privaten Game Tour überrascht - es hieß eine Kurze - daraus wurden 2 1/2 Stunden! Neben kleinen Aufmerksamkeiten in den Zimmern (Cookies, Drinks…) gehörten die persönlichen Gespräche zum Alltag! Eine unbeschreibliche, gegenseitige Wertschätzung! Wir können uns an dieser Stelle nur noch einmal bedanken und die Kuzuko Lodge weiterempfehlen! Ein besonderer Dank gilt Khaya und Anguz! Beide haben uns immer wieder mit persönlichen Erzählungen, Erfahrungen und Geschichten begeistert! Zudem bleibt uns die Aussage von Khaya in Erinnerung ist, dass er stolz ist, wenn Menschen sich für sein Land interessieren und er es Ihnen ein Stück näher bringen darf! Das hast Du geschafft! Es hat uns wiederum begeistert, diese Begeisterung bei allen Mitarbeitenden zu sehen, zu hören und wie ein Team zusammenarbeiten kann, wenn man sich auf ganzer Linie wertschätzt! Brillant!

Wir bleiben nur einen Tag in diesem Hotel während unseres Besuchs durch die Garden Route. Das Hotel ist sehr gut dafür, wir sind an der Ankunft ein wenig erschreckt, weil das Hotel gut vor einer Gemeinschaft steht, aber wir haben nicht gesehen und hatten auch keine Gegenzeit. Der Außenbereich des Hotels ist sehr angenehm. Innerhalb des Hotels ist klein, aber wir wurden gut betreut. Das Zimmer ist gut, aber unsere große Schwierigkeiten ist, dass es keine Badezimmer im Zimmer hatte! Beim check in erhielten wir einen Zimmerschlüssel und einen anderen aus dem Badezimmer, der keine Dusche, nur Bad hatte, und an diesem Punkt wir nicht. Das WLAN des Zimmers war sehr schlecht. Das Frühstück hatte nicht viele Möglichkeiten, aber genug, um den Tag zu beginnen.

Das Beach Guesthouse liegt etwas Jeffreys Bay liegt ca 1.5km nördlich des berühmten Surferstrandes sehr ruhig direkt am Meer. Die Architektur ist sehr sachlich, die Ausstattung zweckmässig, das Innendekor üppig mit kombinierten Stilen aus Afrika. Unser Deluxe Zimmer mit Meersicht lag im Erdgeschoss mit einer kleinen Terrasse mit Stühlen ausschliesslich (!) Meersicht. Das Meer war auch aus Bett, Dusche :-) und vom Frühstückstisch aus zu sehen :-) Wir wurden äusserst nett und zuvorkommend empfangen und erhielten sehr gute Tipps. Frühstück ist üppig, der warme Teil wird bestellt, der Rest vom kleinen Buffet selbst ausgesucht. In der Nähe (zu Fuss) hat es ein interessantes Surferrestaurant, für anderes muss das Auto gebraucht werden. Es stehen Parkplätze im Innenhof zur Verfügung.

Das Resort ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber es wird alles gut unterhalten. Hervorheben muss man ganz klar die Sauberkeit, sowohl von den Lodges, als auch auf dem Weg dorthin. Die Safari selber waren super, die Ranger haben viel erzählt, und wir hatten zusätzlich das Glück, eine Menge tolle Tiere zu sehen. Man könnte zum Beispiel den Einband der Menükarten wieder wechseln, das sah schon sehr abgegriffen aus. Auch die Weinkarte, Wohl Diners Club ausgezeichnet, aber könnte weiterhin ergänzt werden. Ansonsten würde ich mir wünschen, dass der Service einfach etwas schneller geht, und man nach Sachen wie Tee oder Kaffee, oder Toastbrot beim Frühstück nicht extra fragen muss. Das kann einem einfach zur Verfügung gestellt werden. Die Biergläser in der Bar könnten vor gekühlt werden. Bei der Bedienung kommt es einem, wieso oft in Afrika vor, dass die Leute nicht eigenständig servieren dürfen, sondern nur Dienst nach Vorschrift machen. Oder die sogar tun müssen. Dadurch ist allerdings eine lockere Kommunikation nicht immer möglich. Des weiteren darf auch in der Küche weiterhin verbessert werden. Das Essen war alles okay, aber da sollte man einmal über einen echten Küchenchef nachdenken, der etwas mehr Ambitionen hat.

Zuurberg Mountain Village holds a special place in my Family's memory, and my Parents used to visit regularly back in the 1970's & 1980's. This Trip was a special celebration for my Dad's 90th Birthday, and I know that our Stay brought back memories of some wonderful times. From the moment that you drive up the Zuurberg Pass to the Mountain Village, you cannot help but be taken aback at the beauty of the area, and the Hotel and Rooms are wonderful and nostalgic. We have always received a warm welcome from everyone at the Hotel, and they almost make you feel like Family! Being the start of Winter, the old Log Fires were very welcome, and the Lounges and Bar are all very cosy. The Food was exceptional, with a Set Menu consisting of several courses, one of which was some of the best Moulle that I've ever tasted. The Sweet Trolley has to be seen to be believed! Breakfast the next morning was delicious, and set us up for the day. All in all, our Stay at Zuurburg Mountain Village was wonderful. We'll most definitely be back!

I usually only book four star rated accommodation but wanted to be very close to Storms River Mouth and decided to book at Andelomi Forest Lodge for one night. When I called to ask whether we can put our cooler box in the room prior to check-in I was assured that it will be no problem. On arrival I was surprised with the size of the room. Our room was modern with a little seating area facing a stream. The bathroom was spacious and spotless. The room had a coffee/tea station but no fridge. The design of the room and the small touches showed that the owners took the requirements of guests into consideration when they built the rooms. There are also some little extras like tissues etc. which one does not expect at this price range. Staying at Storms River Village allowed us to go back to Tsitsikamma National Park the next day to do the Waterfall Hike after completing the Kayak and Lilo adventure the day before. We had breakfast at the property the next morning. We chose to sit outside facing the garden while enjoying our breakfast. We thought it would be a buffet breakfast but we could order eggs and we were served fresh fruit - it was beautifully presented. I dealt with Brittany but the entire team seem to take pride in serving guests at this establishment. I won't hesitate to stay at Andelomi Forest Lodge again in the future.

Wirklich eine gute Adresse in Jeffreys Bay, freundliche und hilfsbereite Mitarbeiter. Die Lage ist ideal - direkt am Strand und in kurzer Entfernung zu guten Restaurants. Auch das Frühstück war wirklich gut! Wir waren zum zweiten Mal hier und würden mit Sicherheit wiederkommen!
