Mein Mann und ich blieben hier und wir genossen unseren Aufenthalt in Reykjavik. Pros: Lage. Sie brauchen kein Auto. Alles ist in Fußabstand. Personal war sehr zugegen, vor allem Von! Sehr saubere Zimmer. Die Bäderboden sind erhitzt. Die Betten sind ok. Sehr schöne Espresso-Maschine mit Pottern im Zimmer. Komplimentar Frühstück war durchschnittlich. Viele Brote. Nicht viele Fleischoptionen fey. Auch schöne Komplimentarbar-Trinks Gutscheine sowie kostenlose Donuts aus dem Café Restaurant. Cons: Die Zimmer waren sehr warm in der Nacht. Wir mussten mit offenen Fenstern schlafen. Keine Badewanne (gesichtswanne). Die Zimmer waren sehr klein. Packen Sie Licht, weil absolut kein Zimmer. Würden wir wieder in diesem speziellen Hotel bleiben? Vielleicht aber die Unterkunftsmöglichkeiten sind so groß, dass ich an einem anderen Ort auf unserer nächsten Inselreise bleiben würde!

Das Apartment-Zimmer verfügt über Küchengeräte im Vergleich zu anderen Hotels, umgeben von Restaurants, Supermärkten, Flughafenbus und Blue Lake Bus ist sehr bequem und die Stadt ist in so einem Ort konzentriert. Die Standard-Suite von Trip.com kann drei Personen wohnen. Die Buchung erfolgte für zwei Personen und drei Personen zum gleichen Preis, so dass sie für zwei Personen bequem waren. Das Ergebnis war, dass das Hotel 60 Euro aufgehoben wurde. Ich denke, wenn ein Mensch mehr als 120 Euro bezahlt? Bitte beachten Sie das, um im Voraus zu kommunizieren, um unnötige Verluste zu vermeiden. Es ist besser für Reisende, die Nahrung benötigen. Wenn die Schale eine kurze Aufenthaltsdauer ohne eine empfohlene Küche ist, ist der Preis für das normale Hotel höher.

Super cute, young couple run the place. The front desk is amazing at recommending non-touristy things to do and places to eat or visit. When I see flight crew (pilots, in uniform) at breakfast, I know the place is good. The breakfast spread was very nice and there is water and access to hot water/a coffee machine at all times. Nice size room for one. (Most Icelandic hotel rooms are probably considered cramped by American standards, fyi, so adjust your expectations accordingly.) Furniture and decor channel a Scandi vibe. The building is vintage - the mini elevator is the perfect size for one person and luggage. It would occasionally get stuck on the 4th floor (not want to come back down), but I had a receptionist sprint up flights of stairs and send it back down. So sweet! The bathroom is a bit dated but I believe more renovations are planned in 2023. Local 101 is within walking distance to historical downtown Reykjavik (I utilized Bus Stop 4) and more in a quieter, residential-like neighborhood.

My wife and I recently spent a very pleasant 5 nights at this hotel. It is nicely situated in the marina area slightly away from the city centre, but still with many local restaurants. Our room (on the top floor as specifically requested) was small but perfectly formed with an excellent view over the Marina. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was powerful and the the wi-fi was excellent. The room had all we needed, really, apart from, perhaps, some drawers for clothing. There was space on some open shelves but we prefer to have our clothes 'put away' and not on show. We had no problem with noise entering our room either from the outside or from neighbouring rooms. We took breakfast on a couple of occasions and it was a decent buffet affair, albeit pricey. The hotel staff were friendly, welcoming, polite and very helpful in arranging excursions and advising on things to do in Iceland. We didn't take dinner in the hotel, but we did find an excellent gastropub literally over the road from the hotel.

Die Lage ist sehr gut. Wanderweite zu allen Orten. Die Zimmer sind klein, aber ok. Wir blieben 3 Nächte. Erste Nacht kamen wir um 2 Uhr und wurden in einem seltsamen Zimmer im nächsten angrenzenden Gebäude gesetzt, das keinen Aufzug zu begleiten hatte. Wir hatten große Taschen, die von sehr weit weg reisen, um Island zu erreichen. Ich habe sofort trip.com Assistent angemeldet und auch um ein Zimmer zu ändern, das nächsten Morgen gemacht wurde. Danke für das Hotel & trip.com Das Rezeptionpersonal war sehr nett und hilfreich Frühstück war gut genug

Really lovely! I was traveling with my father, and the folks running the guesthouse brought him extra pillows, because he needs to sleep mostly upright. Then, when there was a cancellation, they offered us the extra room so that he and I could each be more comfortable. We're so grateful for the kindness and hospitality. The rooms are clean, bright, and warm. We used the shared kitchen every morning. Shared bathrooms were never an issue - there are three on the main floor. Rooms also have a small sink, and there are coffee and tea makings in the rooms as well. A quick 5 minute walk to the harbor, a 20-30 minute walk to the downtown area near the big church, and a 10-15 minute walk to the nearest pool with thermal baths. I'd love to go back, and I'd definitely recommend it!

Wir haben zwei Nächte im City Center Hotel geblieben. Es gibt ein eklektisches Innenraum, eine komfortable Lobby und auf einer der Lobbytischs gibt es eine große Schale Süßigkeiten, die einige leckere Likör-Toffee für die Aufnahme hat. Ein- und Auschecken war einfach, reibungslos und beide Rezeptionisten waren extrem freundlich und sprechend. Baktus, der sein eigenes Instagram-Konto lebt dort... nur ein weiteres wunderschönes Resident Reykjavik Katze! Unser Zimmer war auf der fünften Etage und es gab einen kleinen Aufzug oder Sie könnten die Treppen nehmen. Unser Zimmer hatte ein Kingsize, komfortable Bett. Der Balkon war klein und wunderschön und es gab dunkle Gräber, um die Sonne am Morgen zu blockieren. Es gab auch eine kleine Kühlschrank-Art funky-kühl, da es wie ein Weinkühler aussah. Viele Handtücher, Seife, Shampoo und ein Haartrockner. Es gibt keinen Schrank, sondern ein Kleidungsstück, um die Mantel oder Kleidung zu hängen. Im Zentrum befinden sich viele Restaurants umgeben; wir essen in der Laundromat Cafe eine Nacht. Es gibt auch einen kleinen Gemüsegeschäft über den kleinen Park am Ende der Straße, der Vegan Sandwiches und andere Güte hatte. Das Hotel liegt auch in der Nähe von Bus Stop #1 (Stadthall) und Bus Stop #3 (außerhalb des Hard Rock Cafe) und macht es super einfach, Ausflügebusse oder Bus zurück zu BSI Busstation und auf dem Flughafen Keflavik zu fangen. Würde ich hier nochmal bleiben -

Leider wurde an zwei Seiten des Hotels schon vor 8 Uhr morgens mit schwerem Gerät gearbeitet. Eher missgelaunte Mitarbeiter am Empfang, die z.T. der Landessprache nicht mächtig sind. Die Zimmerkategorien sind in der Realität nur schwer nachvollziehbar und werden auch von den Mitarbeitern weder erklärt, nach stringent unterschieden. Mal ist es ein Standard Room, dann wieder ein Deluxe Room, dann plötzlich ein Executive Room (es gab offiziell nur 2 Kategorien)... Die Zimmer sind ausreichend gross für ein Cityhotel und funktional eingerichtet. nDie Einzelbetten sind sehr schmal und was als breites Bett deklariert wird, sind zwei der schmalen Betten zusammengestellt. Jedoch gibt ausgewählte Fotokunst des Zimmern etwas Atmosphäre.

We really enjoyed our “bigger” room as a family of 4. Very spacious, modern and has nice lighting. The kitchen island was brilliant as we were able to let the kids make their dinner while we went out to a lovely restaurant nearby. The location is perfect for the charming old downtown area. It’s only 5 minutes to the downtown airport if you are flying out domestic. They have some parking right in front, which isn’t the case for other high end hotels downtown. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Would absolutely stay again!

Die Erfahrung in diesem Hotel für die letzten 2 Tage wurde bemerkenswert von Front Desk Receptionist, Farooq, der ohne Zwietracht und perfekte Einstellung kann-do half mir, mein falsches Handy mit der Bus Tour Island Company, die uns gerade verlassen . Es sind Menschen wie Farooq, die sicherstellen, dass große Reiseerlebnisse als solche bleiben können. Ich empfehle dieses Hotel, weil sein Personal wirklich für ihre Gäste sorgt.

Superzentral, tolles Frühstück, superstylishe Lobby, fmdas macht Spass in dem Hotel. Leider kein Parkplatz, sonst auch keine Parkplätze verfügbar, so dass wir 10min Fussweg entfernt illegal auf einem Taxistand parken mussten. Beim Frühstück unterhält sich die Bedienung so dermassen laut mit dem Koch in der Küche (während sie selber im Frühstücksraum rumräumt), dass an ein entspanntes Frühstück nicht zu denken ist. Wem das nicht superwichtig ist, wird hier zufrieden nächtigen kônnen!

Dieses Hostel hat nur eine praktische und funktionale Lage. Der einzige Grund, hier zu bleiben ist für seine bequeme pickup und brechen Sie eine Haltestelle für Touren und den Flughafen. Das Zimmer war ein 4-Bett-Dorm und war stark. Gelegen gegenüber der Küche und oberhalb des Haupteingangs bedeutete es auch ziemlich laut. Die Bündel sind sehr, sehr grundlegende. Es gibt keine Ladepunkte an jedem Bett in diesem besonderen Schlafzimmer (3) und die Schranke ist eine dekorative Schießen. Die Reinigung hinterließ viel zu wünschen. Regelmäßig musste man die Rezeption für Handsap in der Toilette, Papierhandtücher und Toilettenpapier beantragen. Das Wi-Fi ist nicht vorhanden und das Rezeptionpersonal ist völlig ambivalent; sie sind angenehm, aber absolut kein Wunsch, zu helfen. Es ist eine plausible Verweigerung zu bedenken. Sie bleiben hier nur für die Lage, die Ihnen den Zugang zu allem ermöglicht, was Island bietet.

Das Canopy liegt mitten in der Innenstadt von Reykjavik und hat fast alle wichtigen Sehenswürdigkeiten der Stadt direkt in der Nähe. Als Hilton Gold Member habe ich ein Upgrade in eine King Junior Suite bekommen, das Zimmer war sehr groß und Modern eingerichtet. Abends gibt es eine Happy Hour an der Hotelbar, bei der man sehr leckere Mocktails und Cocktails genießen kann. Die Preise sind für Isländische Verhältnisse sehr akzeptabel. Das Personal war während des gesamten Aufenthaltes sehr sympathisch. Das Frühstück war sehr reichhaltig und sehr lecker. Bei meinem nächsten Aufenthalt in Island werde ich sicherlich nochmal in diesem Hotel übernachten, auch wenn die Zimmerrate mit 170€ etwas hoch ist. Die teuren Preise sind in Island aber ganz normal.

Our stay at Hotel Odinsve was excellent. The staff were very friendly, the breakfast buffet was delicious, and the location is great for walking around Reykjavik. (Tip for future guests with light baggage: if you take FlyBus from Keflavik airport, you'll be dropped off at the BSI transfer terminal first. The hotel is maybe 15 minutes away from the terminal at a gentle pace, and the transfer bus will only get you halfway there. Walking will get you there faster, unless you have heavy bags or limited mobility.) There was a little bit of street noise into the night, as our room looked out on a park and bistro. But I was pleasantly surprised how well the blackout curtains and windows muffled the sound. The room was smaller than I expected, but worked out fine for two people and three carry-on bags.

Sehr einfaches Hotel, aber sauber und tolles Personal an der Rezeption. Jose und Michael haben sich alle Mühe gegeben, uns bei der Suche nach Touren zu helfen, als alles gebucht war. Gab tolle Empfehlungen für die Fortbewegung. Würde auf jeden Fall wieder hier übernachten, auch wenn es nicht zentral liegt. Der einzige Nachteil ist das Fehlen eines Aufzugs, wenn dies für jemanden erforderlich ist.

Meine Bewertung betrifft insbesondere die Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption, im Restaurant und im Zimmerservice. Besonders geschätzt habe ich ihren außerordentlichen Fleiß und die Schnelligkeit in ihrer Arbeit, die Freundlichkeit in allen Bereichen und die Hilfsbereitschaft, insbesondere dann, wenn es einem an eigenen Fremdsprachenkenntnissen etwas mangelt. Ich werde das Hotel Cabin auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.

Die An- und Abreiseanweisungen waren klar. Emails wurden unmittelbar vor unserem Aufenthalt empfangen. Gute Lage - Wohnung war leicht zu finden und sehr nahe Laugavegur Shopping Street. Der Komfortladen (Vikivaki, ich glaube, es wurde genannt) ist gerade vorne. Der ”Bonus”-Laden ist auch in der Nähe (ca. 5 min. Fuß). Gute Basis für Touren wie Bus-Stops #9 und #10 sind nur in der Nähe (ca. 3-5 min. Fuß). Die Wohnung war sehr sauber und gemütlich, mit weichen komfortablen Betten. Gute Menge Raum, um sich zu bewegen. Küchenelemente waren verfügbar - Tassen, Pannen, Waschsaft, Platten, Werkzeuge, Gewürze, Kaffeemaschine und Tassen, Tee, Gewürze waren verfügbar. Das Badezimmer war sauber und geräumig. Perfekt für Aufenthalte mit Familie (4-5 Personen)!

Zunächst ist der Parkplatz bequem, nahe dem Hafen, 13 Minuten zu Fuß zu jeder Hauptstadt Attraktion, umgeben von mehr Restaurants und Getränken. Die beiden Gäste im Rezeption sind besonders gut, das Frühstück ist auch gut, das Hotelzimmer in Island ist sehr klein, dieses Hotel ist nicht klein, und das Badezimmer hat einen Whirlpool-Wäscherahmen und ist bequem zu kochen. Sehr gut Hotel 👍

We had a room on the 4th floor with a balcony, overlooking Laugavegur. Even though it was a Saturday night, we weren’t disturbed by any noise, and the room had a nice view of Hallgrímskirkja. We were pleasantly surprised to be able to check in at 12pm when we went to ask if the hotel could store our bags for a few hours until check in at 3pm. The lack of breakfast was not a problem, as we tend to skip breakfast and do brunch instead. I would stay here again. If you have a hire car, park in the P3 on Skulagata and walk the short distance to the hotel. The lady on the reception was very hospitable.

We visited friends in Iceland and spent 2 nights at the Holt Hotel at the start of our visit. Staff was fantastic,warm and friendly. Hotel is on the older side, but location is fantastic and it’s been well maintained. We enjoyed the unique art and older feel, but if you want sleek and modern this is not your place. The room was small compared to America, but completely functionable. Traditional breakfast especially the pastries were amazing. We have no complaints and thought we got a great deal.

Modernes Hotel, viele Sehenswürdigkeiten der Stadt sind zu Fuß erreichbar. Unser Zimmer im 6. Stock hatte einen tollen Blick über die Stadt zum Meer. Es war geräumig und bequem. Der Lift zur Gratis-Garage war sehr angenehm, Frühstück bot viel Auswahl. Weniger gut funktionierte Wifi, der Kühlschrank im Zimmer kühlte nicht, im TV gab es nur wenige Sender, und die Zimmertüre klemmte und musste mit einiger Kraft zugeschlagen werden. Kleine Mängel, sonst war es sehr gut.

Das Hotel und die Zimmer sind sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die Betten sehr gemütlich und warm. Das Frühstück ist sehr köstlich, individuell sowie qualitativ hervorragend. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich. Das Hotel ist sehr zentral und praktisch gelegen. Rezeption ist auch rund um die Uhr besetzt. W-Lan funktioniert überall.

Das Hotel ist sehr gut, kostengünstig und die Lage ist hervorragend. Es befindet sich in der Nähe der Bushaltestelle Nr. 10. Der Flughafen-Shuttlebus und die Touristenattraktionen befinden sich beide an der Bushaltestelle Nr. 10. Es ist bequem, die Straße zu überqueren, und es gibt Supermärkte, Restaurants und Imbissstände Unten gibt es einen Netto-Milchteeladen. Die Gesundheit ist sehr gut, das Zimmer ist besonders warm, an einem Ort mit hohen Preisen wie Island, dieses Hotel bietet einfach ein gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis, der Besitzer ist Chinese, die Leute sind sehr nett, haben geduldig verschiedene Fragen beantwortet und uns beim nächsten Mal viele gute Vorschläge gemacht, die vom Gewissen empfohlen wurden Ich würde dieses Hotel buchen, wenn ich nach Island gehe.

The location was perfect in that in was in the heart of Reykjavik - shops, restaurants, and a block away from a main bus pick up stop (#6) for tours. Bad thing was it was close to everything including bars and on Saturday night, it was pretty loud till about 2/3 am. Weeknights were fine for us, probably more noise from fighting seagulls than rowdy people. The apartment itself was difficult to find since it was behind the main building, through a short alley be tween the Vietnamese restaurant and gift shop. We asked a local at the gift shop to locate it. And despite there being graffiti on the walls, we never felt unsafe and have returned past midnight before. We stayed in #301, third floor apartment that was basically a studio with 2 twin beds, a sofa bed, small round table with a few chairs, microwave, dishwasher, clothes washer/dryer combo, all utensils/settings. There’s also a small balcony shared with the apartment next to us. The exterior and apartment doors were accessible via codes. Great because no keys are needed, but could be tricky to unlock. An alarm will sound after a few incorrect attempts. The apartment looked great. Simple, neutral colors. We couldn’t figure out whether the place was cleaned though since one twin bed sheet had a little stain and one of the pillowcase had a little something stuck to it. And it didn’t smelled fresh, though could be it hasn’t been booked in a while? We only slept there and didn’t use any of the appliances, including the coffee maker, so don’t know if they worked or if they supplied detergents. We did notice that there’s a note you had to empty trash under the sink. The spots on our sheet and the one pillowcase were not confirmed or enough to be a big concern for us. Overall, we liked the place mostly for convenience. But if you’re a light sleeper, this might not be a good choice. Also want to note they were very responsive via email. And lastly, on street parking which you’ll need to download app to pay between 9 am and 6 pm.

Wir genossen unseren Aufenthalt in Saga Studios durch ylma. Das Personal war immer sehr schnell, um auf jede Frage oder Sorge zu antworten, die wir hatten. Die Lage des Studios war ideal, der Studio selbst war sehr nett und hatte alles, was wir brauchten. Die Betten waren komfortabel und alles war sauber. Wir würden uns empfehlen, hier zu bleiben und hier wieder zu bleiben.

War alles super. Hotel ist perfekt gelegen. Parkplatzsuche war etwas erschwert. Zimmer war ruhig und das Bett sehr gemütlich. Das Badezimmer jedoch relativ klein und die Dusche zum Rest vom Badezimmer nur durch einen Duschvorhang getrennt. So ist natürlich das ganze Badezimmer unter Wasser. Frühstück war reichlich und abwechslungsreich.

Kex… Ugh such a frustrating review to write. I really wanted to like the Kex hostel it has its good points, but overall was the worst hostel stay I have had in Iceland. I’ll give you my very detailed opinion. The Bad… -Lacking in the toilet paper department!!! We were on floor 4 there were several private bathrooms with showers and also separate locker room style bathrooms. At 7:30 AM I ran to the bathroom after finishing my business realized there was no TP! Ugh. Anyway afterwards I looked through the different open stalls with toilets. Only 3 toilets on the whole 4th floor had TP! To me having adequate TP is an essential thing. The bathrooms weren’t restocked until 10AM ish. And we aren’t even in peak tourist season. We mentioned the issue to the staff and they said “just call next time you need something” kinda hard to “just call” when you have already done your business in the bathroom and you need something to wipe with! They need to have staff check the bathrooms more frequently. -The kitchen is sad in the “equipment” department. One of the reasons we stay at hostels is to cook our own food. Maybe they are trying to push buying food from their restaurant. I get that they get a lot of traffic. But the cooking pan selection is -Terrible- nasty old pans that the thrift shop would discard. Janky handles, and interior coating mega gouged out. Don’t come here expecting to cook at least on level 4. -No way to make coffee!!! Again they probably want you to pay for their breakfast. But there is no option to make coffee. No coffee pot, machine, or way to make a filter pour over etc. Don’t bring coffee grounds expecting to make your morning brew. There was an electric kettle, but again no way to make coffee unless you brought instant. -The showers need a good bleach and scrub. The walls had black mold growing on them. Considering the fact that Kex was our most expensive hostel in Iceland (we paid 20,906 for a private double, with linens, and shared bathrooms…or $153 US) compare Kex to the Svjarborg in Stykkisholmer $90 US or Halfdan HI Hostel $63 US ( in both we had a private double & shared bath) but both were awesome and had a fully equipped kitchen with decent quality pots, options to make coffee, and plenty of toilet paper. I understand that being in the city we can expect to pay more. BUT I expect that price to include: -enough toilet paper -a means to make coffee -decent cookware. The good… -The location is great. Easy walking distance to the main shops/streets. And the ocean right across the highway. -Awesome “vibe” cool decor, lots of couches/lounge areas. -Entertaining/Social. In the evening there was group song trivia in the main area, and in another a live band. -Our room a private double with shared bathroom was large, and we slept well. (Note: I have never stayed in a “quiet” hostel so I always travel with a sleep soundtrack on my phone and a melatonin) -The staff was all polite In conclusion, I have traveled on 4 contine

Stayed in a lower level rear room next to the lift. No lift noise but no views either but since we were there to sleep that didn't matter too much! Sheets were so comfortable, really fabulously soft. Staff were helpful and the hotel was city centre and close to things we were interested in. We greatly enjoyed our stay!

Wir sind als Selbstfahrer unterwegs und haben unsere Reise mit 2 Tagen Reykjavic gestartet. Das Hotel liegt perfekt am Rand aller Sehenswürdigkeiten und hat diverse Restaurants in Gehweite. Die Zimmer sind sauber, gross und die Betten sehr bequem. Parkplätze hat es neben dem Hotel, am Wochenende sogar gratis. Das Hotelpersonal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Natürlich auch sehr wichtig, das Frühstückt ist vielfältig und bietet alles für einen guten Start in den Tag.

Wir waren für 4 Nächte im Eyja Guldsmeden in Reykjavik und waren überaus zufrieden. Schönes und sehr sauberes Zimmer mit schönem Bad. Umfangreiches Frühstück und großer Aufenthaltsraum. Da wir tagsüber auch noch arbeiten mussten war das stabile und schnelle Internet für uns auch noch überaus hilfreich. Nach unseren 4 Nächten haben wir uns 2 Wochen auf die Reise um Island gemacht und in der Zeit war das Ejya Hotel so nett eine unserer Taschen aufzubewahren.

Room 101 was hardly up to my expections. the room was 4 square meters ( found out later) but it is a room of about 2 meters wide and 3,5 meter long but the wall was diagonal so it was a strange, small room With no table no wardrobe . So no room for my suitecase or my close. So 7 days of living out of my suitcase and no place to leave my suitcase open. Alone some walking space by the bed. I thought there was no cleaningserves because but to my surprice the 6th day i got new bedlinnen and towels. (that was something good but not on the last night :-) So i would recommend not to rent room 101 its not worth it (in my opinion) Also the pictures of the room are looking good but don't let you see the real layout of the room. But Reykjavik and Iceland made it a wunderfull experience afterall.

Tolles Hotel. Fabelhaftes Familienzimmer für 2 Erwachsene und 2 Teenager - richtig große und bequeme Betten für alle und keine Schlafsofas! Schönes Frühstücksbuffet mit warmen und kalten Speisen. Wir mögen die Lage, die etwa 20 Minuten mit dem Wslk vom Stadtzentrum entfernt ist, aber in der Nähe eines fantastischen Swimmingpools mit vielen Thermalquellen mit unterschiedlichen Temperaturen. Das Hotel hatte kostenlose Parkplätze, was für uns mit einem Mietwagen sehr praktisch war. Spa im Hotel war auch ein Bonus. Restaurant und Bar im Hotel serviert großartiges Essen. Alle Mitarbeiter waren freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wenn wir jemals wieder nach Island kommen, werden wir auf jeden Fall wieder hier übernachten.
